You speak the truth ma man!! Id personally go further then that on the front hub thing... id say the hopes are better! Iv snapped and seen snap front kings cuz the spokes have ripped flanges clean apart. Not due to spoke tension either... different weels built by different shops/people. oh yeah... and nice goin on you display pic - "custodian or janitor if u wanna be a dick about it!" ROFL! As for the bike... these Ciguenas look very nice. A tad similar (not sayin copied!) to the olde brisa design... Makes me want another bike lol Nice build rich kid ... lets hope the talent is worthy of the machine! black n pink

Wow... its been a while since iv seen a mod i like.. really like. Thats awesome dude! Nice job on the build too. What i like most about your post though.. is your POSITIVE ATTITUDE "if i ride to the positives il be a happy chappy!" thats soo refreshing to hear instead of people whinging about this n that on there bike. great build and im sure it rides great too. go out and have fun (hope the knees not too bad??) cheers danny

thanks for clearing that up guys.. having read all the posts and got the information sorted i went bk to tarty website and looked at geo/etc of different bikes and yes like Ali said it makes a lot of sense... eg: the ashton 1055wb and 73ha (plus other specs) has a reach of 27" while the control for eg 1060 and 72 (again) has a reach of 25.75" To further put this in perspective... the mbk (wb-1100!) has a reach of 27.25" - ONLY a quarter of an inch longer then tha ashton but for a ton more wb!! Anyways thanks again for everyones posts and helpin me get a grasp on how the different geos/angles etc affect the total bike. danny.

hey guys... Just curious, tarty lists the weelbase of the mbk t1000 as 1100mm - but on the MBK site it says 1085. I know its not a big difference. Imjust wondering if some1 could measure axle to axle on theirs to get an exact number (with urban forks or simillar) Thanks!! - anyone know the headangle on these puppies??
-
just curious.. is it nicks fork that makes the slack headangle?? wat fork is he runnin? errmm.. no clear winner
-
luscious!!! absolutely gorgeous... everytime i see these bikes i fall in luv with em./ super nice build good work! hoep the new ones look as good as them... danny.

hey guys just curious as to which bike people prefer out of these two Zona Zenith or Echo Control?? Cheers danny.
-
ahh good points... thanks guys! will have to try out some bikes and keep in mind that i can change stem/bars to increse/decrease cockpit length.

iv been ridin 24s for almost 18months now and before that rode the short (1030ish) older ashton. IMO i stil prefer short bikes for streety stuff however, im curious about gettin a long wb bike for more natty/and possibly street stuff depending on how it goes. Lookin at the zona zenith. No1 in oz has one and i think it looks pretty decent for the $$. Anyhoo... its lead me to this I remember wen bikes first started to get longer (over 1040ish) weelbase and sites like echobike were saying that the long version of the pure etc were for riders over 180cm or there abouts. Just curious now that these bikes have taken over (longer and longer wb) If people still feel the same that some bikes are just too long for their height or whatever?? I know there are style issues here.. short bikes suit some people better etc. But i guess i just wanna know if people stil see different length bikes being suited for different height people..? For example... I love my short bikes pashly, old ashton, 24 etc and at 179cm im thinkin i could manage on a zenith (1070) once i adjust oviously. But would u say that a MBK or limey2 would be too long?? let the opinions fly....

hey bro! just so happens went on a group ride other day and there wuz a guy on a long and another guy on a short kot ms2. out of curiousity i rode both and apart from being very biased towards shorter bikes and mostly ridin bmx these days... gotta say the shorter one is much nicer! Agreee with Ali C bb is too high on em. But the disc mount on the rear looked solid enough. Stil prefer the old megamo design imo. Both fellas had rear disc goin and were happy with it. The slack ha on the longer version really makes it feel crappy... gapped to front weel and it just sorta slid cant get weight over the front. If the new brace on the rear stops em crackin... then im sure itll be a top frame. stil not my kinda thing these days but the short one did make me wanna hop again!! catchya soon geeeez danny....

nicest 24uk iv seen... luv the animal stencil in the bkground (NY bmx Represent!!) What are those rims?? look solid. danny.

to further the argument for dw over sw azonics ... what his sayin makes sense... and i can understand why it seems they would be stronger, however in my humble opinion i would never use SWs Iv seen them snap within 30minutes of buying them. I also now remember seeing a set snap while landing (mostly bars snap onthe up motion). And lastly you gotta consider pro riders who use azonics... all the ones iv seen (ed tongue, akkers, even the old skool petr kraus all used and use DWs) but hey if it turns out im wrong and the SWs are sweet.. i might change too lolol and they're cheaper!! confusion continues... :$
-
the single walls are definately NOT stronger.. get dbl walls. Iv actually seen a pair of single walls snap within 30mins of buyin em!!! As for snapping double walls like i said earlier iv done 2 this year... they both were creaking.. so probly only running on the outer wall thats y i now replace them wen i hear constant creaking. Both of the bars i broke this year were double walls and both snapped on the up motion of a bunnyhop. but like iv said they feel right and are bloody nice bars... just keep an eye on em. get em
-
sounds like ur chasin azonic double wall riser bars (imo 2.5 inch rise seems to suit most streety trials setups best) watch them for creakin though. . cuz wen they go it aint no fun. Iv done 2 bars in a year! but i stil use them cuz i think they feel "right" and if u replace them wen they start creakin should be ok.. (o ye - forget warranties lol!) they're wide too and very nicely shaped. avoid the singlewall ones at all cost these r poo!! very popular bars of streetier style riders... such as Akrigg, infamous Ed Tongue and a lot of the 24 guys use em. hope that helps dude
-
absolutely spot on gorgeous.. the sex!! fine job indeeed good to see more and more streety bikes with proper seats imo well done!
-
well worth the dl great riding and well edited... refreshing style too! good to c more then just taps n sidehops. briso boys represent!!
