first up - Huge thanks to tartybikes for accomodating all my needs and delivering everything wrapped up super tight and all round superb customer service. Well, its been about 2months since my 1st gen droxx died... so been waiting a while for this and havent had a chance to ride it yet (damm work), so not going to post any reviews til iv had a chance to really try her out. But i can say this, im uber stoked at how good it came together. Total weight 8.8kg.. previous bike around 10kg! more pics to come on richmondtrials in the next few days.. cheers danny.

are the skulls and stuff decals? so.. could they be peeled off?? great looking bike, well done.

umm.. try using the SEARCH function... Iv now typed two reviews of this freewheel 108 version. not about to type or link it again. 10/10 after going through 3 tryalls in a yr echo sl 108 is sound

yeah... proper magneti are the shit i ran one on my aitken for 2 yrs solid. great engagement and strong. this version is quite light too. well worth checkin out...

was me ... heres the post and info on freewheel - >http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=137262&pid=1918840&st=20&#entry1918840 i can safely say; first imprssions are much better than tryall which iv gone through 3 of in about 16months. when i 1st got and played wth it in my hands, it feels stiffer, more responsive and somehow more solid feeling, probably from better construction or tighter tolerances, not sure really but in your hands they feel brillaint. put on bike ... done 2 comps in wet mud (read more in link) and not one slip skip bang or miss. even the tryalls i found on all 3 had a few early skips before beding in completely. these jst go straight on and work brilliant. performance is incredible... cant imagine wanting anything more from a freewheel. It feels better than tryall in everyway, stiff responsive and strong. No skips or problems at all and after washing off mud and grit from drivetrain, went for natty ride yesterday after work and was just as good as new. soo far 10/10 for these and im not an echo fan at all. this may be the 1 product from deng i like! all i can say is its working brilliantly for me and feels the best iv ridden. hope that helps

thanks for that info neil... you always post helpful stuff, cheers mate! im currently sponsored by maxxis australia so havent used contis yet. but at nationals i was very impressed with the compound of a mates rain king tyre. safe to say he had bit more grip than me on the amazingly drenched wet rocks and logs. its great to hear they are more resilient to punctures than the rq. i stil rate maxxis though, but the contis are definately a worthy competitor for top tyre position by the sound of it..

just an update on the echo sl (108) im just home from riding two national rounds in wet, deep mud and constant rain on this freewheel with only about a half hour of riding on it before the comp. It got coated in mud, bike fell into creek and had my big basher ass to deal with and did not fail me once. it just feels stiffer/stronger than tryall and just as many engagements. its only early days but its taken a hammering and continued to do its job without any problems. very happy with this product soo far

i took the plunge 2weeks back and got the sl 108 version. hopefully arrives soon. australia post is wank!! will post comments after some riding and with 2 national rounds this coming weekend, should be a good chance to give it a proper hammerin

a 26" version with v mounts would be the perfect Inspired imho
-
yes, personally i find them waay more comfortable and they do offer a tad more leverage or power (lets not get into that old chestnut! lol) but either way they feel great thanks.

thanks for the positive comments.. a few people have asked bout weight. finally got around to weighing it today.. 9.24kg. pretty amazed actually as i dont use silly lightweight tyres, so yeah pretty happy!! all parts will be going onto a black sky soon, with a reset ti bb, so should make for a nice & fairly light bike cheers, danny.

ahh ok, fair enough. it looks like u have to run as u say 17:14 with these frames.. just hope people get on well with that gear? love to hear some feedback on how it feels once you try it out.. im a fan of the frame, but i prefer 18:15 so who knows.. bike looks awesome though, great job. i luv simple clean lines.. good choice!!

does anyone know the steerer length of a set of new koxx 26" forks ? I tried search but found nothing, would be great to know, as i need to run a spacer under stem, but iv run out of steerer length. The forks were not cut by me, as i bought complete bike from koxx. just tried it with spacer and feels waay nicer, but not enough clearance, hopefully they were cut for the bike and a new set will have longer length... thanks!! danny.

nicest one iv seen!!! great job i am guessing ur using 18-15 gearing, as rear wheel seems to be almost out of dropout (eeek!)... yeah? just a bit worrying once you get some chain stretch??
-
thanks for comments black books rules!!.. dylan moran is a god haha. anyways, i dunno how much it weighs, but il try get it weighed on friday. been in bed sick with flu most of week. tryall singlecage pedals and gold alloy bolts arrived today - lookin pretty lol considering i dont use them dicky conti tyres im not expecting anything too mindblowing lol, probably around 9.5 at a guess- not fussed though, it rides too nice as is
-
yeah i agree actually, but stil pleased with how it turned out. atleast now im not riding a cracked stem and creaky bars
-
thanks mate again - gorgeous bike!!!
-
clean, simple and absolutely gorgeous!! good job. are they the koxx browns? just wondering how long they took to bed in for you. I had my first ride with em today (1hr) and they were pretty good but did slip a little bit..... hopeing they get better next ride.
-
YEP!! noticeably light too - very happy with it

lucky im on the other side of the world - australia lol!

cant comment on the echo wheels, and the tryall wheels link doesnt seem to work for me. i have been using the tryall singlewall rims on tryall hubs for 6 months or more now. the wheels are fantastic! never gone out of true, and im known for doing bikelength gaps with 90deg turn, which is a test for anywheels. unless your a super basher or a big drop junkie.. id go the tryalls i havent had good experiences with echo parts - so maybe bit biased.. anyways hope it helps!
-
thanks for the comments first impressions of the bar are remarkebly stiff and responsive, the great tryall bar shape and perfect width. definately a nicer feel. danny.
-
after half a year or so of my basher technique.. i decided it was time to replace my cracked stem, clean up my battered frame, and freshen it all up.. heres the transformation.. removed paint removed cracked stem and old bars - replace and update with new brakes and koxx browns & how she is now.. with Viz Sl mounts. Gold bolts and tryall superlight pedals are on there way too.... thanks to all the tarty lads and sam for hookin up the viz gear. cheers

thats mint mate, top job. good to see a nice streety bike designed with some sound geo and nice braces in stays. looks like a spot on ride. can u please keep us posted on how it holds up..? thanks! i reckon the only thing id change would be a rear vee, but personal preference
