riki stil rides... hes on the Goldrush Japan Trials team. pretty sure hes riding echos now. 2 of those vids were filmed by me. Both riki and wayne stayed at mine few years bk and thats the footage from both of them. glad yas like the vids the riki short brisa vid is filmed at my local rocks at pt cartwright on the sunshine coast in qld australia. You can see my unit in the background of the opening gap/shot of riki. He was truely awesome. stayed on my bedroom flor using a bag of rice as a pillow for 4months! Nuttz!! The comp vid was wen wayne was staying at my place, we drove to victoria for this comp... the ultimate roadtrip!! ask wayne bout the crazyness in my ute! Wayne tore it up after no sleep and sittin for hours on end, riki was there and flew through many sections like a possessed monkey. Those days r some of my favourite memories of trials stuffs. great people, great ridings, and even better atmosphere. Wish it cud have last a lifetime..

Hey It was 9.2 kg in the original foto.. with vees (all ti bolts and ti brake posts) and with hope pro 2 and ti bolts. I broke the pro 2 and gone back to kings. Havent weighed it with the new hub and brakes yet. gotta sort it out soon and let u know. The tyres save the most weight. If yourrunning the same tires i cant imagine where else the weight is. My stem is about 150gms, errm cant think what else. running latex tubes (high quality ones!!) Anyways i think itll end up around 9.5/7kg. going front and rear magura and cracked echo forks are being replaced with viz in the next few days . other changes are kmc kool chain to go on and sick of 74kingz, so changing to rohloff. these will no doubt add some weight but the ozonys ride soo well and under 10 is stil a very good result i thinks. cheers for the comments... oh yeah.. noticed the stiff link. thechains givin me the shits anyhoo... rusting out like a barstard and not sure of the strength given the rust composition!

upd8 bike almost finished now.. ti bb installed, new viz ss kit on new HD pewter King (rear 07 hope snapped first ride on ozonys), just arrived today white maguras. will take better pics wen finished tomorrow. been about3yrs since i last used maggies.. cud take me while to remember how to cut/bleed to right size. just bolted on rear one now and looks mint. needs to shorten tube. but feels great. only thing left to do is buy some viz forks (controls cracked in two), possibly some dob mag rims and fsa os115 stem with tryall bar. Pics up in morning cheers

yes, works fine without booster! I only have it on there because it keeps the brake quiet and i may aswell be using it im thinking about them.. but wanna see how they hold up to grinds and abuse. Im not convinced yet...

yes tyres make a big difference as said. heres a spec list - tryall rims f&r on rear king front hope dbl butted dt spokes and big betty (890gm) and nobby nic (495gm) tyres Tryall cranks, wellgo mag pedals, sram chain, 74kings, viz titanium bb xtr levers, odyssey linearslick, ultimate rear with salsa booster, sd7 front itm millenium stem with carbon spacers, sunline bar (267gms) foam grips titanium brake posts and brake bolts the rest is as u see it. modifications - white maguras this week, viz fork ordered this week in the future tryall punch bar, rohloff tensioner, tms 130x30 stem. thanks for the comments. have had 2 rides on it now, very impressive bike. Dont think iv ever jumped on a new bike and ridden soo well straight away. Really luvving this bike!!

according to bruno,, that model isnt going to happen. Mine is the first of the 08 models... very small changes - some extra welding in places and a reassuring full weld around the brake mounts, and youll notice the last cable guide is on the seatstay not downtube. thatspretty much it. either model is sweet and they feel incredible to ride. beast!

FSA os 115 comes in a 120x17 and a 138gms is a mint find, but pretty hard to track one down... I think conor has one for sale atm. also the pazzaz comes in a 120x17.. available at tartys. hope that helps

haha.. iv got some white maggies going on probly tuesday next week i cant wait. for some reason setting up vees on this was a pain in the arse! tyres are staying 840grams rear, 495grms front... ooo yeah Thanks for the comments.. well, my viz ti bb, black 15t ss kit and foam grips just arrived so be about 100gms lighter i think. yeah sorry bout the pics... i dunno what it is. il ask a mate with a decent camera to take some soon. i thinks its a 2008 model nobby nic, never had one before so cant say if its any different, its triple compound and i was doing just under bar height static ups to front last night on an opposite sloping rock.. held ever time. good tire... for those not afraid of running anything except maxxis!!

it is a trials bike... its an old megamo steel jobbie. (u can see in that pic the 4 bolt mounts on the seatstays!) agree with "dontyoujusthateitwhen". Lets face it akkers rides through obstacles quicker, with more style and more efficiently than pretty much anyone else. Think about when your riding a section in a comp.. theres bits we hop over and bits u can roll through... the rolling bit is always the quicker and less taxing (energy/bike/etc) The key is people have to find their own style (what works best for you personally). akkers has found his and is pushing himself to the next level to better HIS style.

i think they are tryalls he got off wayne lolol

glad im not the only 1 who thort it looks surprisingly like a pashley! check them chainstays, the end of top tube at seatstay area and the curved top side of the dropouts. Personally i think its nice and wud be pretty much springy like a pash for those who like that sorta ride but id stil swing a leg over an inspired instead... by far the best lookin 24" atm. just hope it rides as good as it looks......

NICE!!! finally a 24" frame thats worthy of carrying on from my old ET which was fully raped. Havent really liked any other 24s that have come along since the ET apart from curtis which is well too expensiv for my tastes.. geo looks spot on and the build looks just right. (my et was soo raped the forks bent out so it was bout 1040wb anyooo) lol so yeah good work in gettin these just right love the white looks mint.. very nice bike!!! jealous..

ballbreaker! - cuz wen u slip off the pedalls your balls are going to get absolutely raped. other posssilbe names: raped, nuttbuster3000, cockadoodledoo, lance (for the one nut you'll have left!).. or call it "the missus" cuz most women are ballbreakers anyhoo..

woah! Iv NEVER said this BEFORE... THAT IS THE BESTEST 26" EVER!! Im in love with and envious of your bike. U got a mint light frame, top components (nice tyres - i love bigbetty/nobbynic combo) and supernice overall effect with components/colors/design etc. Is this bike available to purchase??? Very VEry NiCe bike!!!! danny.
