Well its been a while since iv had to buy a hub and really miss my old hope xc. So iv forgotten the differences between the older models... Looking at the hope xc, mono rear (ti), bulb, and ti glide. Mostly wanna know the differences between each, (looking at the hope xc atm - price is v.good) such as engagement points and strength of engagement (how many ratchets engage same time) etc etc Thanks... Danny

f**king nice bike LEON! good find... wish i could find one myself actually. have been lookin and cant find any decent ones left.. Love it Akkers Style all the way dude.... short bikes are the most fun to ride IMHO!

looks really good dude! When i got mine, i got a spare frame (orange one) too. Its good to see one built up and soo nice!!! the tyres make all the difference in weight. Good work with vees. Similar build to mine, except iv now got white maggies f&r (yes after years of being a vee advicate) maggies are lighter but i do miss the feel of vees. Same tyres and be careful the 74. mine lasted bugger all time. now on the rohloff-it krew! top bike!

for those of u not too fussy about having a seat... this is a breath of fresh air in todays trials! Yess Trials frame : Yess has made only a few of these frames. The specs are: 1015mm wheelbase 390mm chainstays 5+ BB rise 72degree head angle V-brake bosses (can fit up to a 42mm rim). It's a super fun playbike to get your hands on. It bunnyhops and manuals with little effort. The frame weight is 1600grams, 3.52pounds! Wow, now that's light. The frame material is Alcoa Aluminum, which is reportedly extremely difficult to come by these days. Alcoa ALCALYTE high performance bicycle alloys are derived from the same alloys Alcoa developed for aerospace applications (including the Lunar Roving Vehicle), where materials meet extreme terrain, temperatures, G-forces and other stresses most of us can only imagine. This means it is light and strong which allows you to do spin moves, and throw it around with total ease and confidence. It would ride super nice i think... just IMHO a shame there is no seat.

desperately seeking a pace frame too.... will trade a pashley frame and fork for one if anybodys interested. needs to be the later model pace red rc250t. nice bike leon! take it ur not interested in the pashley anymore then??

Another top vid ... love all SS vids. The up to front at 2:54 made me wet myself with envy its been well worth the wait, and good to see the trademark of all Stans vids.. the last few moments captured free of music always makes me pay more attention to the riding. Cheers Stan!! makes me want an ozonys.. oh wait lol

ye bro u met dan at the gold coast.. .where we first stopped on theway down to eildon (comp) before i drove into oblivion that night and you saved our lives by insisting we stay at that dodgy roadside motel.. MMMM Memories thanks geez ye love to catch up sometime soon. spoke to porter last night bout catchin up with hawziee.. dunno if possible though. anyhoo bro... gotta talk soon. danny... cheeers amigo!
-
the brothers are Nick and Dan Pierce from Nimbin Qld, australia. Nick stil rides a little, but mostly sticks to driving fast, being an all round nutta and basejumping shit!! Dan is to the best of my knowledge not riding much at all nowadays. They were amongst the most fun people i used to ride with... ahh memories.

thanks eskimo for the only relevant review info... will stick with tryalls for now. yes the dob rims come in 20" aswell. a mate here in australia has a set for his new 08 kamel already!! will be one light mod no doubt..
-
sorry.. ye i meant.. its a ground rim but the grind has worn almost flat/smooth. thats what i thought the dob rims wud be like.. cuz they dont grind too well yeah?
-
thanks for the review... i must admit, i think like most people on here iv been holding off on buying these, due to being abit suspicious of their strength. sounds like a good well built rim. I know the front rim is double walled too.. unlike the font tryall im told. which is reassuring. oh yeah.. thats the frikkin nicest adamant iv ever seen. nice job!!! am i right in assuming that the rims due to not grinding up too well would work very well with coust pads??? As these seem to work very well on my almost smooth ground tryalls... any info wud b tops cheers!

yeah sweet dude... its pretty nice. as it wud happen, im actually moving to uk/europe end of 2008 (after finishing uni). so errm yeah... plenty of cool peeps in oz to stay with
-
yeah in oz... on the sunshine coast in queensland. About an hours drive north of brisbane (nearest intl airport ) its pretty boring most of the time, but i do seem to host a few intl riders now and then and its a top place to ride. heres two pics... me and akkers and few of my mates out for dinner one night... @ sizzlers (dodgy1!!) and where i live, in the cream block of units just back from the lighthouse.. can see the rockage! riders always welcome
-
yeah word! Some of the lines riki did akkers did too ... but hed just roll and bunnyhop everything, looked absolutely amazing and made me feel like i sucked even more!! unfortunately all the video footage i took of akkers was on his camera and was going to be in the trial noir dvd. if you look carefully there are 3 clips in the extras bit of the dvd that i filmed on the rocks here. not a lot considering some of the stuff that went down. oh well..
-
haha ... all are welcome peter!! heres the list soo far of peeps to stay on my floor lol... wayne mahomet, riki murata, keita miyaoka, chris akrigg, kenichi iwasa, and many fellow aussies.. yeah the rocks are awesome... they are about 1min walk from my place and spread for about 400metres by 100metres in width. Many people try to ride them all but it takes a few weeks to get through everything i think. Its a great place... ok il stop showing off !! lol
