  1. I do belive this question has been answered a number of tims in NMC Best ones I've used are plazmatic CRMs, their performance seemed to have held throughout a couple of grinds
  2. Strange, I always imagined you to look like a slightly chubby, innocent looking 11 year old, and your innocence is reinforced with the guy looking at your arse. Does it come with a frame and can I get it signed?
  3. If you really want colour over safety, I think the Pro-Bolt M5x8 bolts will fit. (Tartybikes sell 'em)
  4. Not much thank fook. Many, many inner tubes Sorta my front brake (Was/is leaking from a crossover bolt), although I can't see how it could be my fault,,unless it doesn't like the lever to be pulled very hard A chain fell apart, didn't snap, just came undone, proabably because I picked it up and found out that it had no oil on it, my hands didnt get anythin on them... I've done in two of mates inner tubes, his snail cam bolt and his TPA. But to be fair, they were all about to brake anyway
  5. Does seem as though that was inclusive of rims. It would be about the same cost if you're bike shop built it. A Tarty wheelbuild will cost you £15, postage all round might be around £10? and the rims will depend on whichever you chosse (obviously )
  6. Zoo Bars and Plazamatic CRMs. End of. The Echo Toughs feel absolutely wank when compared to Zoo Bars, they are just an unnatural shape and they feel quite tight and narrow. And for the pads, Plazmatic CRMs. My mate has gone through every other 'good' new pad and has always thought/said 'f**k. I should have stayed with the plazas.' Trust me, so far they have been unbeatable on my grind, which is sharp/medium -- although my version of a harsh grind you could shave with...
  7. Usually I think it's just some dumbass seller but, come off it. In the main text they've said it has hydraulic brakes but in the description box they've put "Brake: V type/Disc" Indicating that it has v-brakes and front disc. WTF. Dumb or what? This is very likely to be stolen as it looks to have a dent on the top tube and have a rear grind showing that it's rider is not as ignorant as the seller.
  8. They look like Lites to me. Defo not the standard onza ones as they're straight
  9. Well, at least you know your bike won't get robbed
  10. Happens to me as well. Mostly it's just the chain tensioner isn't seated properly and the wheel moves forward during tightening. I just set the tension a bit harder than I want it and it ends up slacking off to perfect tension after I tighten it
  11. What you're trying to say is that it looks wank
  12. How about Max Power? He's the man with the name you cannot touch, because it's just a name!
  13. I think he's trying to say that his enterprise didn't even recoup the money that it spent
  14. They are French make and from their site, cost €1989 which is about £1,335.52 And they look bloody nice too
  15. You look quite comfy on that! Honestly, I'd say that buying a new bike over is a bit of a waste, it would be much better to add to the one you already have as it would probably work out cheaper and you could tell how different parts affect the bike, so you'd be able to customise your bike more effeciently in the future. Looking at your riding it looks as though you are on quite a low gear, 22 -16/18 (Rear Freewheel)? If so, I think you'd moslty benefit from a new freewheel (18) and a 12 tooth rear cog, as that gear is much nicer to ride on imo as it is much easier to bring the bike up etc. If you really want to build a bike up, a decent technique, although limiting in the parts available, is to go on Tartybikes and add up all the parts you require into the shopping basket. Then you'll have an idea of what the bike will be like and what it'll ride like, and you'll know the cost of it all and which parts sap all of your money etc.
  16. Just about everyone that sees my hands tells me to wear gloves after I explain that the callouses are from my bike, even regular bike riders tell me to wear gloves. Thing is, I do wear gloves, and they often get replaced yet the callouses/hard skin never fade. I have always worn gloves and will continue to. The callouses have given me trouble, and did hurt but the pain fades away in due course and you'll get used to it when it returns after a period without riding. One day I couldn't find my gloves, so decided to go riding without. By the time I got back, my callouses were bleeding and were torn up and there was above average pain for about 2 weeks, riding or not. So really, callouses are unavoidable with trials and will happen, even with one day of riding. The only way to keep them under control and keep them bearable is by riding regularly and by wearing gloves
  17. Get a disc and it'll be a decent theft prevention system as well Nice bike though, the frame looks good in black
  18. Trust me, one finger is fine,,,I broke Kris's lever cus I pulled it waaay too hard and that was with my 'pointing' finger, so it'll be reet
  19. Yeh, but what's to stop him from just making a tensioner from an unused mech? If he wants to why not? If it works it'll be a lot easier to set tension opposed to trying to bolt up his wheel and stop it from moving at the same time, which can be tricky.
  20. Gotta be a fair few years ago maybe 3/4 most
  21. Gold paint in the laquer so it's black with sparkly gold bits! Very nice--you will actually be surprised about the weight difference in the forks, those things are fackin heavy
  22. That was a good buy The seller is obviously a jeb end and must have got it from his mate. £210! And he said the bike's 'good for the jumps'....
  23. So, which part of TRA stands for f**kin amazing? Those weights at the end ,,,anyone here seen 'Unbreakable'?
  24. Well, I don't think my bike skills are that bad considering I taught myself how to ride my bike only 4/5 years ago
  25. Yeh, just be comfortable, bikes are the only thing I use my left for, apart from long jump and scrums (rugby). The left foot forward is for power, not precision, that's why you use your right to bring the front wheel up when backwheeling. OH, and regardlessof what you think about your trousers and how big they are, keep every single pair tucked in, otherwise you'll find you'll rip every single pair you put on, even if they do hug your ankles,,,,,still not sure how I ripped my new tight fit jeans up to the knee but it happend, so just keep your mum happy and keep your trousers in
