  1. Definitely sure you've not got them set to windowed mode? What games you trying to play? Will give a better idea of what the problem might be.
  2. Seriously, your best bet would be to get a program like anapod copygear or what I use, CopyTrans. They usually have a cost but it's around the $15 mark; it's not bank breaking. I can't speak for anapod but CopyTrans will copy all of your music from your ipod and put it back into the iTunes library along with playlist + play count info - your iTunes will be identical to how it was during your last iPod sync.
  3. Decent set of headphones + + hearing damaging audio levels =
  4. can turn off auto renewal using the xbox live website. Log in and go to account settings or some such. And no, I doubt you'll get a refund.
  5. According to the support page, it should be able to import .mp4 videos. but it does suggest to have the latest version of quicktime player installed on your computer in order to import .mp4 specifically - something you may be missing?
  6. What's the file format and which version of Premier are you using?
  7. Don't know about the movement, but the video not appearing is probably due to missing video codecs/plugins for your editing software.
  8. In case you haven't heard, new series of Top gear starts tonight!
  9. The fuel mix doesn't actually explode and produce any meaningful force until the piston is over tdc due to the speed of revolution.
  10. The shotgun over the bar in the Winchester is a real shotgun - not a replica as you'd imagine. The heaviest stable element (not radioactive) is lead.
  11. I've got a problem with iTunes writing library files - it keeps saying permission denied. the problem is probably that the iTunes folder is in my documents and is set to read only. Is there any way to permanently lock the iTunes folder as read/write but keep it in my documents? Or give iTunes read/write permissions in the my documents folder? Running as administrator doesn't appear to solve the problem.
  12. The default phone lock code is usually a selection of 12345 00000 00000000 (or as many 0s that can go in) Phone lock is different to network lock and you have an unlimited (or at least a lot) number of goes to enter the unlock code. If it's not one of the above codes, it has been changed to a custom code, so ask the previous owner what it might be - the chances are they were asked for a code to set the phone lock to by 02 even if they can't remember, so it might be their PIN code or any sequence of memorable numbers.
  13. Yeah. That bitch just has a really annoying voice. Forgetting the lyrics, the track was pretty decent.
  14. Sorry, just came here to express my hatred towards that sample. It's so shit to listen to it's unreal and was in fact boiling my blood yesterday. What I listened to sounded good though.
  15. Fair enough, just making sure I didn't come across as criticising on a personal level. But I didn't think of the student side of things; I can see where that would be a problem. I think software should ideally be provided by the institution to be honest although as you said, you can get the software on the cheap. And I agree with you on downloading tv shows. I swear I've seen or been told that it's legal to download tv shows that are aired on UK television (obviously as a UK resident). Not sure how that works with DVD releases though. But I just download A, for convenience and B due to impatience as it's mainly Lost that I'm d/ling.
  16. I am aware of that, which is why I included the "omitting the actual theft and loss of actual stock which doesn't occur in downloads" part. The point I was trying to make is that the justification was flawed because it implied that playing video games or owning certain items of software is a necessity and ownership of these items is essential. However, it isn't. If you can't afford to buy software then tough shit, you can't have it. Even if a price is ridiculous that doesn't entitle you to download something, it just means that the software developer/publisher should rethink their pricing structure. And don't feel like you have to justify yourself. I don't care if people download or don't - I just have a problem with that justification.
  17. I don't particularly want to get into an argument about illegal downloads but the bit in bold is stupid. It is essentially like (obviously omitting the actual theft and loss of actual stock which doesn't occur in downloads) stealing from a Michelin star restaurant on the grounds that they shouldn't have priced the food so high. As if you have some sort of right to own/use the services provided.
  18. Have had the album for a while but just listening through it again. Good listen for you indie lovers
  19. Haven't got a shiny case on it have you? Regardless, I believe iPhones have poor reception anyway.
  20. Easiest but most temporary thing you can do is just try turning your router on and off.
  21. I was originally writing a reply but in hindsight it needn't be aimed towards anyone in particular - instead, here is my working with a bit of explanation of the steps for clarity. Assuming 100% efficiency, we can say that all of the kinetic energy after impact (so mass and velocity of block and bullet) is transferred into potential energy at its highest point on the string as where as v=0, Ek obviously also becomes 0. So we can say ⌂Ek=⌂Eg ½mv2 = mg⌂h => v=sqrt*(2g⌂h). As ⌂h=0.1m and g=9.81ms-1, v=sqrt*(2x9.81ms-2x0.1m), so the answer to A; the velocity of the block and bullet just after impact is 1.4ms-1 The calculations for initial velocity require use of conservation of momentum, the way I write it is as m1u1+m2u2=m1v1+m2v2 m1=0.04kg u1=? (Initial velocity of the bullet) m2=0.09kg u2=0 But since we know the masses coalesce after impact and that the wooden block has no velocity, therefore no momentum before the impact, we can write m1u1=m3v, where m3 = m1+m2 So from there, we can rearrange for u=(m3v)/m1 = (0.13kg x 1.4ms-1)/0.04kg = 4.55ms-1
  22. I worked through it last night as something to do and finished up with 4.55ms-1
  23. It's not in the Bible It's a mashup of various verses with the last two lines being genuinely 25:17. Edit: I researched this after being disappointed after some time with a Bible in a hotel.
