  1. I'd say its more about the amount of time you spend actually doing it. I spend about an hour a night on my bike however I am not good because I spend a lot of that time chatting. Also its about how much you push yourself.
  2. It is from supercycles (an old one). However in your opinion would I be better off getting the t-comp for £70 with postage or a old t-pro for £90 with postage? And what do you mean by getting next frame half price from supercycles?
  3. Just how weak we talking? Is it much weaker than a t-bird frame? and is it worth £70 including postage (brand new)
  4. I was just looking through ebay and foound a t-comp frame. How good are t-comps? and also it claims it is only for competition riding, not steet what does this mean? Thanks
  5. Check the crosover tubing is put in right, I had mine in wrong for about a week before i realised :$ That resulted in me have a rather terrible brake.
  6. Ok I sent the money through paypal, I was unable to use the other link, I included my username (unicycle boy) in the note. Sent £5. Thanks
  7. Sorry this may seem a stupid question but I wish to buy some tickets however it says send a pm once I have brought then, however me being a new member it says I am not authorised to access this feature whenever I have tried to send a pm. My question is how should I contact saying I have brought the tickets? Although I havn't sent the money yet, just wondering before I do. Thanks
  8. Do any places sell the old monty frames? I don't really want a new one as I don't have the cash, so prefer to buy and old one. (Anything has to be better than me t-bird) Also I have been checking ebay regually for several weeks and have not been able to see anything, any ideas?
  9. Which makes have people found the best for natural trials, on a mod? Also I have always wonderd why some bikes are better at natural than street, could someone explain the differance? Finally are there any mod frames out that are at all similar to the new koxx 26" (The one with onle one bar basically)? Thanks Edit : In your opinion who makes the best mod bikes (not concerning price)?
  10. Now that summers come and ive finished my GCSE's im getting out on my bike much more. However there is nothing really for me to ride within a mile or two, which although is not that far, if I want to just got out for half an hour or so, is to far. So basically my question is, is there anything good I can mae in my back yard? It is a reasonable size yard about 15-20m by about 7m. I have a path leading to it so I don't need any room to get my footing etc. I have access to quite a few logs, planks and could probably get hold of some crates. I have already just laid out logs and tried hopping from one to another, however that gets very boring, very quickly as it is so short and not very difficult. So I am more looking for something I could construct which would be good. Any replies would be helpful although please don't just tell me to ride the mile or two to the city centre as I am often left with shorter times in which I have nothing to do and rarely have a whole day free. Thanks
  11. I don't really get that when im on my trials, probably because there are far better people than me in my area. However I did used to get it when I was out unicycling, they all seemed really amazed.
  12. Do you mean the frame bends when you say 'flexes'?
  13. Could someone explain to me exactly why brake boosters improve the braking power? Also why do some work better than others? And what one have you found best? Thanks
  14. My area aint that bad, nor are most of the chavs that come by. Most just shout something like 'Wheres your seat?' or some other pointless question. The rest either ignore me or just ask me to do some kind of trick . When I started trials biking I always found myself circling around to avoid 'chavs' however recently I have found that almost none do anything. Even though I thought my road was pretty rough, two stabbings in about 3 years .
  15. I have a reasonable idea what im doing and I dislike taking it to my lbs, they will charge me at least £15 labour and buy multiple brand new parts for it. Also I don't mind if I do it wrong as I plan to get a new bike soon. Edit: Could you explain what you mean by twisting the spokes? I mean which ones should I twist etc.
  16. Hey I was wondering if anyone knew why my brakes were squeeking really loudly? The brakes are magura HS11's and they have been bled with water, also they are using monty brake pads and monty bike spray. Also this is the first time I have tried bleeding with water and my brake seems to go on, then the lever can be pulled even more, is this something to do with the water? Also I am unable to get my brake pads really close as my wheel is not straight, do I need a special tool or is it just the spokes which need adjusting? Incase it matters it is an old wheel which came with a 2002 onza t-bird. Thanks Very much
  17. About £10 - £15 pounds depending on which paint you buy. As you need primer, the paint and laquer. That is if you are doing it yourself. I did it myself and found it very easy although I did run out of paint so the bars and forks don't look great but it is easy if you only want one colour.
  18. I did that, spent about 30mins tapping and next to no progress, So i went with the drill.
  19. Well i finally got it done, I got rather angry with it and ended up using a sort of scredriver drill which got bigger the furthur in it went, at the moment it seems to be holding the water easilly but ill see in a few days
  20. In the short run it will be, however over time you will save money by buying the kit and practising yourself, I myself did this after going to the bike shop several times where they charged me £15. So I payed £20 for the bleeding kit and have saved around £50 in the last year (I snap my hose quite often)
  21. Hmm it didnt seem to work, I tried it several times. First time it wouldnt stretch, second time it stretched slightly and started bubbleing, third time, a hole appeared in it Any Ideas?
  22. Well I have taken off the tube and its more attaching the 'Hydraulic Pipe Nipple' into the new tube. Sorry I should have made that clearer
