  1. the hub will be under uneven pressure, so the flanges might develop cracks and break. thats only a possibility mind.......

  3. to be honest, the vice snappage was probarbly down to metal fatigue. i dont think it would have broken a newer vice Will

  5. get onto 'sponkey monkey boy' about the alex dx-32 rims he has, im sure he bought about 10 at the fort bill comp they were £10 for two!!!!! yes thats right £10 for TWO!!! either 10 or 15 anyways i was amazed!
  6. or simply put two flats on the cog when making them... 1. put cog in vice 2. remove pedal 3. put pipe on crank arm 4. twist i do know what you mean about the chain whip idea, but i have bent chainwhips and snapped the chain thats on them whilst trying to remove the buggering cogs :@ meh...
  7. ahhh... well, i just went to my computer, right clicked and couldn't find the option to do a system restore, only to set the restore level or summit. how do i actually do the system restore? thanks! Will
  8. also, i find a bit of prodigy is good for variation, if you have all the same kind of music you might get bored, so a bit o prodigy is all good

  10. well, i tightened it up with the propper tool(in halfords) and i cant get it off with a hammer and scewdriver hmmmm maybe i will try the hammer thing again tonight, but if it fecks the lckring will you buy me another please mark ?
  11. the lockring is on really tight. i have used a screwdriver and hammer method and it merely mashes up the holes. its a 4 day old ENO freewheel and i dont want to force it open with the screwdriver method. i have used a similar device to the one i linked to^^^^ in halfords. but we dont sell them ergh, anyone used one? or has a link to the correct one, if that one up there isnt right? ta

  14. its just a way to measure certain aspects of their riding, really. much like in golf, people go to the driving range and record their longest hit on the driving range etc... but their real skill lies in their golf playing... and Smo, whats with the short but sharp unhelpfull comments? it does nobody any good cheers Will

  17. so, if i dont backup all these programs and files....then do the system restore.....can i just undo it and get5 all my files n stuff back? ta

  19. i realise it restore settings etc.. but does it have any bad effects? does it delete files? does it remove stuff? like programs n stuff? cheers! Will

  21. is it advisable to take it apart and take the grease out and replace it with light oil, much like all hubs out there...? as far as im aware, the more grease = the more skippage because it doesent let the pawls sit into the ratchet fully. ta Will
