yeah, you dont want to get the fuel as hot as the exhaust on the way into the chamber either, thats the main reason for the exhaust being on one side of the head and the fuel intake being on the other. edit: sorry just realised how old this quote was lol!

right, heres the scenario: i have a peugeot 205 xld (diesel) 1991. its cutting out constantly. i have deducted that air it being sucked INTO the fuel lines somewhere. there is a clear pipe between the fuel filter and the the injectoin pump of the engine. once i have bled the system fully and run the engine, it all seems good, there is no air in this pipe, all fuel . but then after a while i start seeing air in the line, then the engine starts to cut out and then stalls - fuel starvation. my question is, how do you think air is getting into the fuel system? anyone had any similar problems? thanks Will

i've been thinking about this alot lately. i'm in my first year in uni, i'm enjoying it, and learning at the same time. after uni i'm going to approach many different motorsport companies with my cv. go to car shows, races, show my face and ask for jobs, basically. as long as you have a plan, just stick to it. if you have too many paths then it can be hard to find one to follow! hope this helps
