if i were you ads i'd ask to see the damaged parts and also question them about teeth which came off the cam pulley. if the belt snaps, then i doubt the pulley would be damaged as its relieved of any strain! unless the pulley was loose and snagged at an angle - causing the whole scenario!? Will just thinkin', maybe the rockers run directly off the cam shaft, so that the cam can sit lower in the engine, thus making the engine shorter? only thing i can think of!

didn't know this engine had rockers ! is it not a standard overhead cam, with followers and valves?

remember she was visiting another country, with cars on the other side of the road! she probarbly hadn't seen many cars on the road and slipped back into her british roots, travelling on the uk sde of the road. hope she recovers soon though!

i dont like cars of this age because they're usually quite complex! first things first, plug a computer into it and get all the fault readings out. then you can decide which parts of the car need attention. if it was an older car it would be alot simpler but ahhh well...
