hehe, such a shit design, you can shove an allen key in the hole and it will work just as well as the key, heheh. anyways, i can only think of the camlocks that are gold (N) also, werent shimano LX parts gold at one time? >_< maybe they are worth a go. ta

before u send it to them you'd have to get the bearings ratchet ring......etc. out of the hub shell (N) i dont know how hard this is? and im guessing hope have the ratchet removing tool. get them to remove the ratchet before they send it back :o >_< ta

yer, once the wheel is under tension the gap becomes smaller. im prettey sure its nowt to woorry about Will

kepp the wheel in the bike put the cranks level stand on the leading crank turn the spanner anti-clockwise :angry: hope this helps Will
