  3. i dont believe how anybody could do that to such a little animal (N) skinning the naimal when it is still alive is just wrong! he skinned it then just left it to suffer ^_^ :'( (N) :- im gunna put a g'had on them!
  4. RIP! i will always remeber when both of the contestants got the word 'FARTING' :- ^_^
  5. think the bb is higher on the xtp, and maybe a shorter rear end? you'll have to wait till someone comes on here that has ridden both :-
  6. is this all going ahead still? im gunna need some times to work to please :- (thats if you have decided on what train u will be getting tom) also, is anyone else coming who is from n wales area that we can meet on the train? ta
  7. yer, i have some, they start off extremely good, so good that you cannot get it to slip haha :'( but then, because i ride in dusty conditions sometimes, it goes crappy :- so im looking for an alterantive ^_^
  8. including yourself? :P"
  9. and for us mod riders :)" p.s i dont know why people are metioning grinds etc, everyone has tried a gind at one point :P im looking for a fit and forget brake! not a, oh shit, i need to grind my rim(its a bitch to do on mods, far more easier on stock and less time consuming). anyways, back to the topic, anyone got any suggestions? :o
  10. the reason im trying to find a long lasting solution is so that i dont have to faff about with my rear brake adding tar and re-grinding it. i want a fit and forget brake setup....
  11. suppose youve got a point, lol no harm in trying thou i suppose, im guinna try the nomore nails and sand thing tommorow morning ;)
  12. still, it will be alot better when that lil bit of tar is gone! if it doesent work properly then u can throw your bike at my head
  13. http://www.bikedock.com/posit/shop/manfstk.php?manf=MONTY half way down that page you will find the monty disk hub ;) nearly 70 quid aint too bad either i suppose...
  14. so does anodising but thats ass kickingly good ;) im thining of the glue and sand idea, or maybe 'no more nails' and sand. i dont want to feck my wheel up, because how would i get it all off? haha
  15. trust me, that little bit of tar is gunna feck ur brake up!! what other reason has it got for being shite when averyone elses kick arse?
  16. read what everyone has said m8! get the pads, clean them and file them back to reveal fresh material, then get ur angle grinder out and give the rim a fresh(non tarred) grind. you will be laughing!
  17. what do you lot think would be a good thing to try for a rim coating? i was thinking of getting my rear rim powder coated, to see what it would make the brakes like.... do any of you have suggestions as to what would be a good substitute for plazmatic rim coating. cheers ;) Will
  18. that was truely brilliant! did he fall in the water at the end? that seemed funny ;) haha
  19. chop your hands off? maybe not :D i reccon gloves are the only way of stopping this problem, but u said you dont like gloves ;) how about some really thin XC gloves? like the troyleedesign ones? ta
  20. you gotta remember that if you have either shit loads of tar or no tar atall the brake will be good, but if you have a slight bit of tar left it will be utter wank! all you gotta do is re-grind with a fresh disk, because the other disk will probs have tar on it? then clean the pads of all the tar, then bosh it all together and it'll be a beast ;)
  21. cool, cheers for that link ;) cant they charge me a stoopid amount when it comes into the country? ta
  22. thanks for the help everybody, i have re-tapped the threads earlier on and the bolts now go in very nicely :) the only problem is the cassette, it does work, but i want to get the metal filings out, i know they are in there because it has skipped a couple of times recently. it does run but i dont funny trust it, ive wacked it in the bike now and it seems fine to be honest should last me through my trip to france :P, but if a tooth snaps off, then im f**ked because there will be no way to access the bugger! if that happens i'll give profile a call, cheers people :( Will
  23. thought if i did that then i would get people moaning that its a silly question and is clogging the trials chat section... cheers for the advice so-far people... im thinking i may go the way of a front eno or acs claws, and an echo rear wheel, well see :P
