  1. advantages of mod: easier to chuck around, bigger sidehops(debateable), bigger backhops to backwheel/frontwheel, bigger gaps(debateable), easier spins , better for bunny hops.... disadvantages: harder to land on/take off from rails, harder to bump, some say they are harder to manual but im just as good on it as on stock ta Will
  2. i have done it and i dont regret it :( im quite short thou so maybe that has a part to play? how tall are you and what bike are you goingfrom and to? ta WIll
  3. bloomin easy with an angle grinder and a vice :(
  4. angle grind the outer part with the teeth on both sides untill it falls off in two halves, then angle grind two flats on the internal part, wack it in a vice then turn the crank :(
  5. couldnt have said it better.... many people touch disk brake rotors and pads with bare hands, it isnt a good idea!
  6. ahhhh i see.... maybe if people would give little comment of the brake, it would be more helpful :(
  7. what the hell is the point of this thread?
  8. have you ever touched the braking surface of the disk?

  15. the reason everyone is so excited about it because of the new ratched design, it has what looks likes scoops instead of teeth as the ratchet... have you seen the pics tom?
  16. yeah anyways, i want something similar to this but obviously without all the machinery, something i can just apply on and forget about... i have tried 'no more nails' and its just too grabby and doesent let go of the pads, so i was thinking sand would help the pads release and sort of get in the way of the pads and the coating.... anyways, cheers for the advice....im off to try it out..
  17. its a t-lite, with the shortest amount of chain to fit, it means i cant get enought slack to take that chain off the cogs (Y) i dont think plaz coating is ceramic is it? or is it?
  18. awesome, especially with melted butter and marmite on (Y) chocolate spread goes well too :-
  19. on my old bike i could, but with my current bike i have to split the chain, im not trying to pick holes btw.. ta
  20. was looking for something more like ceramic coating, of that kind of finnish anyways. as far as i know it isnt like sandpaper or a grind, but works brilliantly :D
  21. yer, i had thought of that :D but if it goes on the spoke side of the rim, where you cant grind it off :-
  22. horizontal dropouts = have to split the chain = takes longer than not splitting the chain (Y) plus, you have to get the right tension on the chain whilst keeping the wheel straight...
  23. i have gotten to the top, thrown the little paper aeroplane or whtever it is, at the lone red barrel, it blew up and a thing fell to the floor. now i cant get the man to move or do anything (Y)
  24. too true, it wouldnt adhere(big word :- ) to the rim surface properly. ta
