  1. Ali is completely right... when you take a sport seriously a mere 14 quid for a product that is the best in the market it is'nt bad it's AWESOME! Lewis.
  2. Ok, trials may have got smaller in Norfolk but look at the bigger picture... This forum is getting new members like no tomorrow, ONT is getting new members, there are more trials manufacturers than 'back in the day'. I'm no market analyst but arn't these signs that the sport is getting bigger? Well thats my two pence. Why do we have to put a name to how people ride? Danny does what he loves, hes a complete individual. I'd rather call myself a none trials rider than just do sidehop after sidehop after sidehop....Because all trials riders must sidehop everything in bloody sight! hmmmmm......
  3. Awesome footage Si! Their definitely should be more vid's of Mr Brewer to be fair!
  4. I think that grinding rims will definitely become old school. The rim walls will already have a rough surface that will last the life of the rim. I know this has been done by plazmatic but it was very expensive!
  5. Dream Sponsor: A cereal company that can keep up with my consumption Dream bike: one that gets me from A to B Dream person to ride with: Lance Armstrong Dream Competition: Winning a hot dog eating comp on my bike!
  6. Their is some serious tech stuff in that vid!!! Great natural rider and awesome to watch!!! Lewis.
  7. Excellent riding!!! You make natural so enjoyable to watch and the bike really suits you! Lets not wait another 5 years to get the next vid out! Lewis.
  8. Im sure there will be economies of scale. The sport is obviously growing rapidly (since I was i Australia for a year the sport grew by 25%!) So, like snowboards when a new frame is released there will be multiple sizes and demand for them in the market. They dont make shoes in one size.
  9. Ok, trials bikes have definitely changed since I began 9 years ago... Lighter, longer, stronger... Also all componants have become modified specifically for trials. In 10 years time what do you think a trials bike will have that it doesnt have today??? Will componants change? Braking systems? Materials? Ill start the ball rolling... I think that in 10 years it would be normal to have a frame that is measured to fit e.g like a snowboard. It would be interesting to see what people say... Cheers, Lewis.
  10. I see bloody tar everywhere in Leeds!!!!!! Its sick! Its not needed! The benches on the headrow... when its a hot day the tar becomes soft and when my poor old gran sits down to rest her week legs she gets black shit all over her marks and sparks trousers!
  11. I totally agree!!!! Stop it! It makes trials look so gay! Some awesome power moves though!
  12. Hey Mitch! Yeah the Ashtons still alive! Im looking for a change at the moment. Their the new 5-10 shoes from tartys, so far they have been my favourite riding shoe. They are so bloody grippy even in muddy conditions. Hope to see you soon mate! Lewis.
  13. Awesome vid! I love Buthiers vids! The rocks put a big smile on my face! Some very smooth lines well executed! Lewis.
  14. After riding the new 5/10's I have found my new favourite shoe (from tartys)!!! For years I have used nike 6.0 which were hard wearing but lacked the grip when walking on natural. The 5/10's just hug the pedle even in wet and muddy conditons. Their not too expensive either. Lewis.
  15. Trials is as safe as you want it to be... Its as easy as that! But always ride within your skill ability. Dont always think you have to jump off buildings to be a trials rider... Thats not the case! Just ride to enjoys yourself! Lewis.
  16. Cheers Tim for putting them up. They have turned out awesome! Really enjoyed last nights ride! Catch you this weekend mate. Lewis.
  17. Great pics, great weather!!! I enjoyed browsing through those!!! Lewis.
  18. Read my review on the LGM's. The wear life is awesome! Im still using the same set from three months ago. Im sure someone is telling fibs about the CRM's or their grind was as rough as a dogs ass! 2mm in a day... Ill ride with that guy! He sounds like a machine!
  19. My review of the TNN LGM's- A run down on my brake set-up: - Ashton Justice - Two bolt booster - Trial Tech rim - Old medium grind Pads used: Basically the lot! Riding Experience: 8 years solid. I thought about writing a review about the LGM's when I was in Australia but it would be unfair because of weather/ terrain differences compared with the UK. Also, I have tested the brake intensely on street, natural, woody environment and wet and damp terrain. I have ridden the LGM's for approximately three months. I knew after riding them for the second time that we was on to a winner! I am not the type of person to go screaming and shouting how good they are on first impressions! I was very sceptical if these were going to maintain this newly discovered awesome performance! After installing the LGM's I noticed how solid the lever felt when pulling the brake, I love the sensation of a tight brake set-up. I weigh 90kg so finding a decent set of pads that I can trust and be confident that they wont slip is vital for me. The LGM compound fulfilled my breif. They provide raw power and confidence. The Dry- come on.... every bloody pad works in the dry!!! BUT these have an ultimate hold! Wet/ raining ridiculously hard- When I was testing these pads in the rain I was riding natural. Normally I would sit back and wait for the rain to clear but with the LGM's I carried on riding. The pads maintained plenty of bit and even made a squeak! Damp/ forest/ mossy/ muddy- suprisingly I love the LGM's the most in this sort of environment. The damp atmosphere causes the pads to grip to rim with the slightest pull of the lever. I have just got back from a typical english quarry ride, riding in the woods through puddles ect. The LGM's were ready for it all. Boiling Hot! Tops off weather- Fantastic! I honestly thought that the LGM's performance would alter when I rode in the UK again compared to Australia. Just because it is a hell of a lot warmer in Aus. But.... No they havent! In fact I have found that the performance of the LGM's have improved. Or maybe its because I compared them to my mates brakes... Well thats my opinion... Conclusion: Raw power, solid bite, oh did I forget to say that Im still using the original set Le gave me... Endurence and wear is definitely a bonus to the LGM's. Asthetically amazing! Extensive research and development! Fantastic feedback from other top riders such as TRA, Stan Shaw and Ali C! Cheers, Lewis.
