Its actualy a morticer bit. it has a drill inside which removes the bulk of the material then the square sides cut the rest out to make the square shape, we use them in woodwork but i dont think it will work in metal work.

If it happened gradualy then i would agree with saracen as it would have been given excessive abuse altho i dont think its right for them to change you that much for a new frame when in the past they have gievn new frames to people that have cracked there old ones

Well i went from a 05 saracen with a wb of about 1060ish to a t-rex with a wb of 1085 and i could feel the difference but after about 20 mins on the bike it felt the same to me. So i dont think it will be that bad mate i think you should give it a try if you dont like ti you can allways try different stems ect to change the feel of it.

The other day i changed my avatar from a zoo! pad to a blue cat on my girlfriends lap top. but when i got home it was back the zoo! pad again, anyway i tryed to change it back to the same picture of the blue cat but nothing seemed to happen and it remained as the zoo! pad. When i got my 2nd hand maguras from ebay they were so dirty i thought they were the black pads, it turns out after about 3 weeks when i washed the bike they were the green frogs i had no idea at all so they cant be that much better, this was on my xc commute bike mind.

You can use a stack of washers if you cant get the spacers mate.

I think it looks great as it does, i think red rim tape would make it look better.

They will be fine mate, do you have spacers? dont forget to stick a washer between the booster and the bolt you dont want to ruin that nice rb booster.

Loosley tape a stick to your downtube, Then if trouble kicks off you have a weapon, but at the same time if a copper or hero decides to ask you why you have a massive bit of timber attached to your bike then you can say its there to prevent scratches and dents.
