EDIT http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=4982 thats the cookie mine looks a bit like that form the outside altho i took the lock ring off(screw driver +hammer (Y) ) and the bb didnt seem to move. 2nd edit Is there another place i can buy the 8 prong tool? As its out of stock on crc for 3 weeks!

I cant get to the bottom bracket on my saracen team issue(the silver one) i know its a ISIS style bottom bracket, But i just cant get any tool to fit it. i bought the bb tool from tartybikes but i wont fit in, there doesnt seem to be any splines inside the bb shell for the tool to grab onto instead it just hits the out side of the bb and wont go in anymore. Ive taken the tool to halfords they said all there bb tools are the same as the one i have. I realy wont want to take it to a lbs and have them charge me £10-20 just so they can tighten up the bb a little and put some grease in becuase i can do this myself i just dont have the right tool(s). Has anyone had a problem with this them selfs? Ive emailed saracen and am waiting for a reply.

Well depends you cant win either way becuase older people work monday-friday and the younger lads at school/college work weekends.

If i want somthing i buy it! Dont bugger about thinking oh but what if? what if you dont make it across that gap? if you thought like this you'd never ride! just go for it mate.

I know this isnt a cheaper price, but if you buy though tartybikes basicaly you will get your bike and you will get it quick i like to pay a little bit more for peace of mind.

What about a ride for each county or region?

Yeah id say start riding now then come summer you'll be well good if you sticked it out through the winter. I first saw trials riding some time around 1999-2000 had a little play on my bike but for some reason(cant quite remember why) i didnt follow it on, But ive got a job now and thought id give it a real go, Ive been riding scince June and im quite good.

How stiff? Mine is quite stiff but still turnable apposed to the old 04 ones that were easy to turn. Errm a bit of wd40/similar lube i guess mate.

Curbs are the best. then move onto taller curbs(where the road has work funny or the old skool massive curbs) then move onto small walls ledges ect. Tryed a sort of higher drop today shit it half way though the landing fell off and hurt my ankle, Hope its better for tomorrow ima nail that drop!

Right my bb has started to click... Whoa take your finger off the reply button! I know i need to grease it up, But i was wondering what tools i need, What kind of grease, And where to get said tools(best ones). I was going to use castrol low mature grease will this be ok. I have basic tools such as hex keys and spanners. Also what parts off the bb do i have to grease up? will i have to take it out of the frame or will i get away with just taking the cranks off? And finaly any basic tutorials/hits/tips?

Oh right steer clear then. Isnt that illegal of planetX's part? effectivly arnt they stealing maguras pads and calling them there own?

Oh im running Zoo! pads(rear) and heatsink blue(front) at the moment just thought becuase there so cheap i could use them as spares. As for the koxx boxx i was thinking koxx yellow smooth rims?

Are these realy that bad? i run smooth rims at the moment with tar/hairspray. I was just wondering if they are realy that bad as i can pick up a pair from a local shop for £2.99, I was thinking of having them as reserves.

Ive only ridden in Luton at the moment, But so far so good plenty of street some natural and some (un)Natural helps if you have a car though as most of the spots are spread out.

Ive had the complete opposite. Talked to a guy on the phone at 1pm he said he would send my maguras in the next few hours. They came next day at 7am only 1st class nothing special. I was dead chuffed :turned: .

One of the worst pains going getting a pedal in your shin, Can realy cut you up bad. Espesialy(sp?) scince the cold weather in drawing in!

Have you considered the new style lock off forks? my mate has them on his xc bike there will light and well you can convert to ridgid whenever you like in just a flick of a switch.

Looking to shorten my chain a bit, Just need to ask a few questions first. 1)How to do it? as far as i can figure you you take your chain tool remove a pin, then go down the chain remove another pin, then put the two peices together and put a pin back in. 2)How short to go? im currently running 22th up front and a 8sp cassette on the back altho i only use gear 8(highest) and gear 3(trials) will ceirtain(sp?) lengths affect gear shifting ect? 3)What are the overall benifits? To stop the chain flapping about? Quicker response? 4)Any specific pointers or tips?
