I thought the trial went extremely well i enjoyed it very much, i think there was just the right amount of sections and the sections were well laid out, i would definitely enter the next indoor comp i just hope there will be one soon, a BIG thankyou to all the guys that set it all up and did the scoring etc, well organised, but i had to leave early which sucked so i don't know what place i have come, is there any results been posted on the net? or is there any that is going to be sent to each rider? regards tom

has anybody had any problems fitting a bottom bracket to the new style ashton, with there chainring touching the starting peice of the chainstay? how could u solve this problem?

The hope pro 2 trials hub has a smaller casette section so u can only fit 6 gears on! can anyone tell me if they are using 6 working gears on a pro 2 trials hub, tell me what components they are using, can u use a 8spd shifter and 8spd mech but just use 6 of the gears?

does anybody know how to get into a front hope bulb hub i cant find on the hope website any information on serviceing etc, tom

i saw a topic on the trials forum about taking this little peice off of your rear mech and it stops the rear mech hitting the underside of the chainstay when you ride, ive searched for the topic but i haavent found it yet so if anybody could help me out with some links etc, i would be v grateful tom

when i first started trials i found that the lower back started to hurt and my hips, all this is due to exercising these muscles that you have never really exercised much before, i had this when i started skateboarding a few years ago and my inner leg muscles really hurt, its just the slight strain of muscles that havent been used so intensely at any one time, it will go away after a while month or so

i will purchase a calender and do the best i can to raise some money towards

alot of people still have never seen the trials style of riding, and when they see it in town or sumthing they either think wow, or get off the f**kin pavement/wall etc lol (mainly older generation60+, i dont mean to be ageist), i went to swanage and u do get alot of mixed faces but i dont take any notice of the evil ones i try to entertain the more enthusiastic ones, i find it enjoyable, i do like to show off new moves that i have i spose thats why i like when people watch it gives me a buz and wanting to improve my small amount of skills, but thats the way i am i ave had people say where do u get those bikes from n why hasnt it got a seat, also someone said to me in devon i should put a hat down to get money i just smirked and thought to myself u have never seen a pro ride!

I am thinking of getting a new frame soon when i get next months pay through, does anybody know which are the most flickable shortish frame/frames there are to recommend? i am 5ft8 so not the tallest 26" rider around, also has anybody gone from the older style Ashtons to a new frame and though gosh this is flickable and easy to throw around. cheers tom

well a new bb was put in last week, before i bought the bike off the person so he might have not greased it, i think it must be the tapers, i am thinkin of goin to isis cus i have got a raceface isis bb spare off an old trials 26, what cranks do peps recommend and is it worth buying a tensile or eno freewheel?

when i spin the cranks round i can see the freewheel goin from side to side is this the reason for it creaking, is it stressing the freewheel, is there anyhting to help stop it, or just buy a descent freewheel?

what freewheel tool will i need to use to tightening the freewheel on the crank, will i need the park tool FR-8

i have just bought an onza t pro, and i think the freewheel is creaking making a horrible noise, does anybody know how to prevent this from making the noise or what the noise is? also what do people recomend in the way of chain tensioners? how much do u need to tension the chain? i was increasing the tention on 1 side and it was pulling the wheel to one side whud i tension the other side to pull it back into the centre, i dont know anything about 20" bikes so im all new to how freewheels work and chain tensioners(even though chain tensioners look incredible simple) regards tom

Hello, I need to find out who designs trials arenas that I have seen at the NEC bike show's and NASS events etc, does anybody know of any pictures that could help aswell for different layouts? Much Appreciated Tom

i ordered, a mech hanger off of there website and it never came until my dad got a phonecall about a month later, and it was Mr Ashton himself, he told my dad that he has to order the mech hangers at like 50 at a time, but he said they take ages to come though after being ordered and manufactured, Martyn in the end refunded my payment and sent me his spare one off of his bike, my dad never told me about the phonecall until after i received the mech hanger, it had a little note in the enevelope with the mech hanger, and i was so gob smacked that i got a letter from him was soooo totally wicked.

has anybody got any pictures of 2x and 3x, also radial i want to see the difference between them, i can see the difference between radial and the others, bu whats diff between 2x and 3x, can you get 4x or 5x? help?

i had bad, knees, and went to see the doctor about it he told me to various exercises in the morning and evening, plus i wore those sport supports which are really irritating but help toa certain degree

i use a cassette, but hold the derailleur in place with a cable tie and a shorter chain helps holding it out of place, i run 22tooth up front and 15 on the back, what do all you guys use ratio wise?
