Does MSSQL not required a windows server? I may completly wrong, if i am, ignore this next comment, but windows server are in general around 10/20 pound more, often then not, a lot more then that too. Never really looked into MSSQL before, so i'm honestly not sure. What sort of prices are you looking at though, as currently you are looking at between 50 and 70 pounds a month, but the sites i suggested should be fine. Except instead of theplanet.com, use servermatrix.com, its their entry level sister site. Where Trials-Shack used to be hosted, and if i could lick their ass, i would, they was awesome.

Completly depends on your budget. If you want the best of the best, use theplanet.com. Good deals and in UK so better pings, try 49pence.com, want a stupidly cheap bargain, webhostingtalk.com, so and so forfth. Theres different servers for different budgets really. Why do you need MSSQL out of interest? Is it required for the game you want to run? If it can run MySQL, run that, seriously.

For people who pay for their servers: -What criteria do you use when choosing which www server to buy? Me personally, because i am in a specific market, i look for bandwidth, space, and connection. I might also take into account location, but with the ever growing carrier links and line quality, this is becoming less of a major factor. Atleast for me it is. -Does your site have lots of media to download? Currently, not a lot. I used to have 25gb that was free'ly available and downloadable -Do you have a monthly transfer limit, if so how often do you use it up? First month of having server, so can't say. On old server for the last 4 months of its life, it was maxed out between the 14th of a month, and the 27th. The limit was 1200gb -How much do you pay for your account per month? Not disclosing current cost as it got me in trouble last time. However, for certain packages i'll expect to pay seperate amounts. Currently, servermatrix.com is a good benchmark for pricing, as is 49pence.co.uk. Also, the current "standard" is 1200gb bandwidth and an 80gb hard drive for dedicated servers, so if you look for prices, thats mainly the resources you will come across. -Do you value the possibility of having a custom e-mail address (if available)? Yes, if only i knew how to setup DNS so i could setup the mail server properly -What administration panel do you use? Webmin. Its free, open source, and did i mention, its free. -What features in the administration panel do you value most? Learning to drive in a week is simply to much to take in. I've only heard of people failing after, and as far as i know, the waiting list for the courses is long, as is the amount of digits in the price tag. Even if you do pass, you are highly more likely to f**k up in real driving conditions, because you've only had that week of experience, and only experienced a handfull of situations, if any. I would just learn normally, 2 lessons a week, monday and thursday, or different days each week. Have some at 8:30 in morning to deal with rush hour, have some at 5 to deal with hometime rush hour. So on and so forth. Gives you time to take it all in and experience different situations which with sods law, you will experience all of in your test.

Nice to know you care that much, but thats a silly idea. Trials-Shack is only a hosting site, no one will pay to come on a ride with the money going to Trials-Shack. Get someone to sponsor it or advertisers, thats where the money comes in. I'm not asking anyone to give money, and to jump into my egotistic state for a second, tv.isg has nothing on Trials-Shack, especially when i start adding all the trick bits. Use what ever hosting service you feel comfortable with.
