So i ground the pin heads of on the biggest cog, hammered them out, levered the cog of. Had to take the last cog of as the pins were stuck in that, and wouldn't let the cassette go on all the way, so put one of the smaller cogs in its place, plus a spacer on the inside, and bam. Took forever, but was so worth it. Not ridden it yet though as the weather is shit. Just my luck. Thanks everyone.

So er, got the cassette off in the end, slid it onto the hub, it doesn't fit, but that isn't the problem right now. The lockring tool doesn't fit over the axle so you can't do up the lockring. So er, how on earth do you do up the lockring?

Whats worse, is i actually hit the floor? Like, every single time? And you know how an object "bounces" after it hits the floor after a long fall? Well i do that in my bed, like, sink into the bed then bounce a good inch or so up. Seriously annoying.

Ok, so i took my chain of my bike, wrapped it round one of the cogs that comes on and off freely, then wrapped the chain whip round the cassette, held the chain and was pulling on the whip for a good 5-10 seconds, and it wont move. Hands dirty? It looks like i've painted my hands black. Just been at this so long and i've just lost the will to do it. Will go and try doing each cog one by one in a second, incase the pins have gone holding it all together. Although, the chainwhip keeps flying off, which doesn't help. UPDATE: I got the cassette moved around 6-7mm freely, but after that, it just wouldn't move, so i'm guessing the body has a shard or something, and the cassette just wont fully come off. Will try and get Lee or Bren to help tomorrow as they've done this shit before and might be able to help me more.

But how the f**k do you get the rest off? As far as i can work out, the rest are pinned together. Now, i've tried sliding it off, as people have been saying should happen, then i've tried putting a screw driver behind the last cog and hitting that with a hammer, then i've stood on the wheel, put the pointy bit of a metal hammer behind the cassette and actually leaned back, still on there. So my lovely children, how the f**k do i get this b*****d off?

mIRC is just a client to access IRC, so are you sure it isn't just the server? If you have a firewall or anything, make sure port 6667 is free to use and un-blocked and/or un-restricted.
