  1. Me and any kind of car modification rules don't ever see eye to eye. Bloody expensive to buy a car here though, your cars registration is your 3rd party insurance, so i don't actually need to get insurance and anyone can drive the car insured. If you crash though, you don't get any money for your car. This does however mean that buying a car is never as cheap as it looks. If for example if you buy a new car, you have to pay another 2k-5k ontop to get on the road. Still, Silvia seems like best option, especially like this one; http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/hillarys/cars/1991-nissan-silvia-coupe-sr20/1007102396 Need to get savinggggg.
  2. That's insane! I'll probably be buying a Silvia over here, as they so cheap. Non turbs but easy enough to turbs, or can pay a little extra and get a ca18det in there, but will see.
  3. Holy f**k that things fast!
  4. Can go other way too. Best way is to run the car for a while, let it cool down, then smell your overflow tank, if you can smell petrol and it look's like a rainbow, shit's wrong, that's how i knew my Civic's headgasket had gone at first. Then of course the massive plume of white smoke shortly after ha.
  5. Sorry, been busy moving to Australia and finding somewhere to live ha. Wish i checked here more often though.
  6. I missed this, why you building a new engine? Finally looking for more power or you blow your current one?
  7. http://www.pistonhea...les/4016549.htm Perfect daily car, such an awesome car to drive. bodywork and drivers door sensor is only thing that let's it down. on 71k and service history up to 67k! With seats down will easily fit bikes in too, boot is massive. PS. I want to keep up with what people are doing to their cars, but this thread moves so damn fast.
  8. Also, 318's aren't even particularly great at drifting. It's what all my friend's have moved into and they all got BMW's. I think the lowest spec one was always a 320, and they all went to 325's and now in Skyline/200's. They alight to start in, but you only really have the power to get the back out in the wet which is a shame. Nice cars though for 400 pound, crazy how much they've come down. Welder, some springs and z3 top mounts and you can pretty much enjoy the wet straight out the bat.
  9. What the f**k, some random paid a 3 grand armco invoice?! Shit son! Glad to hear they back though, all good.
  10. Sheeeet, just been reading up on the accident, i'm surprised there is just a water weight plastic barrier there?! Bet the snap-off boss was a cheap D1 ebay jobbie too.
  11. Really? Another? There is already about twenty, and they already post pretty much every car in the UK scene. The UK isn't big enough for so many pages to be of any use, sorry to your mate! I love 3SDM wheels. They are so, so affordable and look so good. Good choice! No argument, stance is gay... Trololol.
  12. Wahey, something i know about. Integra's are AMAZING cars. There is more difference between a UK and JDM then you'd think. JDM came in 2 revisions, '96 and '98. The '96 has 4 stud, 15" wheels. The '98 has a revised rear bumper, 5 stud 16" wheels and some other subtle changes. Between UK and JDM, the UK only ever came with 15" 5 stud wheels, and a slightly better ratio'd gearbox but nothing to shout about. Because of the fog lights and the UK market at time, they completely re-designed the front end, probably because that's a standard US market front-end, so was cheaper, and Honda love giving the Japanese people better stuff. UK is cheaper on insurance but in my eyes, look so, so ugly. JDM's can be picked up for pennies now, although '98 spec's still grab a premium. They all come standard with Recaros. Either red or black, or if you're lucky, yellow (usually only in yellow ones).
  13. To the person that asked about fake split bolts. They are usually plastic screw heads, that are usually "popped" in, sometimes with a bit of added glue. I was always tempted to take them all out and weld/fill over the holes, but was far too much effort for fake splits. Good for refurbs though, and you can actually now buy colour fake screws and shit. Still for sale, 2500. Trying my hardest to source a decent front bumper too, and spec has changed since these pictures to reduce the price. Holla!
  14. It wont be the engine mounts, EP3's use a cable shifter, so won't be that i'm afraid. Popping out of gear is never a good sign i'm afraid man. Maybe time to invest in a DC5 box. As for D2 coilovers, they are only low, to mid range coilovers. Having different spring rates doesn't really mean shit either if they are valved for one spring rate, just run them and be done with it, if you cba with the effort of changing springs to find the right spring rates for your car, then you should of spent the extra on a set of Ohlins and got them to do the hard work for you and also get them re-valved, it's only a road car.
  15. You'll find a lot of the older members, who've been here ages but have made good friendship, but no longer have time or have other focuses in life will no longer ride. I stopped riding like 4-5 years ago now, started up again last year but chose the wrong bike to do so with. It'll surprise you how many no longer ride, and surprise you even more so how many of those are staff/senior members ha.
  16. Tell me about it. £420 to my door my Civic wheels cost me, from America!
  17. Hahaha, i don't post for a few months, come back, and Jardo is still 'causing arguments. Amazing. If only the lottery was as predictable. In un-related news. I'm selling this; http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3861339.htm And am currently driving this 2.4 Accord Type-S Waiting to sell car and assorted bits, then try and muster together £1300 for a set of wheels. Shit 18" are expensive when you buy real.
  18. Not sure if this one has been posted yet; http://blog.joerenken.com/2012/03/07/invisible-children-and-kony-2012-exposed/ I'd read that before committing your soul to kony 2012...
  19. Not a lot! Surprisingly, i actually quite like the stem/bar setup. Obviously, not had it on back wheel yet so will see how it is later on. 100% need to sort the two brakes out before i do anything though.
  20. Mad respect for those rail gaps and that drop man!
  21. "New", not quite in the literally sense of the word. We all rode together for like 5-6 years, then just went onto other things. After a 3 year, or so break, a few of us have bought bikes. We heading down splash at 6 this evening, if you get bored.
  22. So, only about 2% of people on here will know who i am. I been here a while! Used to ride like 3/4 years ago. Had a BT 6.0, and was super fun to ride. Sold it when everyone grew up, i got into cars etc. Randomly wanted a 24" inch for quite a while now to f**k around on, and just sold my BBS's of my car, checked T-F and there was one super fun looking bike! I've now added the rear brake, and going out for a ride tonight probably, see what it's like. Few things i want to changed already haha, but will just mess around on this for now. I want to change the front forks so i can get a disc/4 bolt setup, sort out the back break, and some new cranks. Also got some rubbing issues when i proper put some power down, is that the frame flexing 'cause it's steel? Maybe see some bitches on some rides, it's wierd being back on a bike!
