To start from the beginning. All 128k users (£14.99/month) where upgraded to 150k, but where charged 3 quid more for it. Then last year, october, or earlier, all 150k users where doubled to 300k. This means, if you pay £17.99 a month, you are on the 300k package.

Would just like to update everyone on my project that i posted about earlier in the thread. Currently, it works great. Have the queue sorted, admin features work, add videos work. Im currently working on the requests bit, so people can ask about a video. Should be all done for when trials-shack is back up. Will also post up a thread explaining its use and other such items. In mean time. Keep asking song questions :ermm:

You've been saying that for f**king ages. Now hurry the f**k up :- Firestarter and Rollcoaster are indeed both on trials-shack. So er. wait a few days :-

Good bandwidth aswell as fast server specification is'nt easy to come across. You could get a reseller account, but use it soley for yourself. You could also get a dedicated server. You said nothing like £100 a month, so how about £60/70 a month? (Y) Gets you bandwidth (1200GB) a decent(ish) server at 2.4ghz celeron with 1gb ram, aswell as a 80gb hard drive and operating system of your choice. servermatrix.com do some of the best. As what i was looking for is probably quite different to your needs, i would recommend browsing webhostingtalk.com. One of the best forums on the subject. Good luck, and take your time, i nearly rushed in to getting a managed.com server, then was informed of their poor network and after sales. So for your own sake, look around :)

Phil has a stand at the bikeshow, so he better damn well open soon :D Nice site. Kind of like the simplistic design. Not sure on the changing use of the javascript popup. That pictures a bit mad. Please tell me you did'nt go from the wall (Y)

I've been told its "Chikinki - Ether Radio" Can't find it anywhere. I believe Bongo has it, but hes ignoring me (Y) His away status ofcourse has nothing to do with it. No one is ever away :) UPDATE: Chikinki has an extra i. I've now found the band, and the song. Going to HMV or some other music store tommorow to try and find it.

I/We ride there every weekend anyway. See you next saturday aswell then :D

That completly missed the point. Middle class people aspire to be chavs? WHAT THE f**k. Someone needs to do a real documentary. One which is'nt presented by a dumb shit who claims to be a chav, when actually knows f**k all about chavs. Also, when she interviewed those hugely famous people. She showed a complete lack of respect, or interest in what they had to say. Another thing. When the f**k did middle class and working class come into chavs? That program pissed me off. It completly missed the point.

Indeed. Before anyone asks, no, uploading is'nt the same. People have their own accounts, so upload whatever, and whenever they please. I have no control over the material they upload. If i was to charge for every download, it would be in full knowledge that i would be gaining off other people's work, and more then likely copyrighted material. Meh.

Yeah, going to test Coral Cache out when its all back up. Will add two buttons, primary being the coral (for all files under 50mb) and another secondry hard drive button. Will see how it goes. Just a bit weery as to how it can free. Would also like it to all be self contained. Makes mantainance a lot easier :P However, i have just discovered the quota option for FTP accounts (updated cpanel finally). Which may solve everything :D Thanks for all your input. I would'nt class as it as telling me how to run TS, your only trying to help, which i much appreciate :D Yeah, i remember when posting that BT was origionally a command line interface. I however don't know shell script, and don't fancy writing a whole new front end for it all, especially with all the admin features required to properly administrate it. Thanks for the suggestion though :) Well, ive just found a better way. In the way of quotas. People sign up for a free account. Allowing 200/250mb of videos (figure shown is just as an example). After this, if they wish to upload any more, they may pay for more space. How this is going to work (monthly, yearly, one off) im not entirely sure yet. Expect another announcement soon :o

Reminds of something  Even same colour (Y)

If 100 people wont pay £2 a month to host any amounts of videos they like, what makes you think 100,000 people are going to pay £1 a month to download a few videos. Paying to download is totally out of the question. If i will charge, it will be for FTP accounts. If people want to upload one video, they pay a smaller fee for a temporary upload. Ah well.

With only 6 e-mails. Thats going to be pretty hard to send all 100 a e-mail. If i have the accounts e-mail i will ofcourse e-mail them that there account is closed. If your account still works on the 2nd, and you have no e-mail informing you of the deletion. Then you are fine. And yes i did receive your e-mail. Thanks for that  I did'nt reply to any, as i was waiting for the others, so i could mass e-mail you all the price plans.

I've looked into this before. Can't remember why i did'nt use it last time actually. Will look into it. The coral thing im not sure about. Will certainly have a read through. Thanks for those ideas. A few people are concerned about their accounts. I will be basing deletion on activity, as well as usage. If you only have one video, uploaded 2 months ago, don't expect to find your account on the 1st. If you have an account, with just a website, then also don't expect to find your account. Its not random, and high end users, such as trialmedia, or akpv will stay. As i said, will look into the torrent scene, see if theres any server side torrent creators then automatic seeds. Will also have a look at that coral cache network.

Morning. Past few days i've been in contact with my server provider, to try and get them to give me a deal, and to answer a few a questions. Due to some of these questions being answered, and the answers being the ones i did'nt want to hear, i am now not buying new server. One of which being i had to pay $75 to transfer my hard drive contents over. This means there will be no fee, aswell no new server. However, this also means im still on 1200GB bandwidth, which as everyone's knows i used up in 15 days this month. This is probably a good thing, as with over 100 FTP owners, i received a grand total of 6 e-mails. In knowledge of the bandwidth issues, i will be removing 38/40 accounts later, then will be limiting accounts on server to 100. This will not reduce bandwidth much at all, but may help. Also, as i only got 6 e-mails. If i delete your account, and don't have your e-mail, you ofcourse wont receive an e-mail, and will just find you wont be able to login. Should of taken that 5mins to write that e-mail heh? Probably make a lot of people happy, as it seems only 1/5 of users was planning on paying a £2 a fee a month.

Indeed. Bloody web design course  However, it suites the purposes, and you can read it. All the things i would of suggested for you have already been suggested anyway. However, i suggest next time you decided to do a poster, to try and do it in a graphics package. Word just is'nt up for the job, especially when you want to try and positition things properly. Not saying your current poster is bad, as its not, but just for future reference :-
-
Its one of those things where you need to go cross eye'ed, while being the right distance away. I believe the letters are at the bottom, but thats about as much as i could see, and i can't go cross eyed :- Good luck.
-
Comment retracted. I've said what i wanted to say heh.

Bloody hope so. They mentioned something about "keeping their image fresh" in the press release, which leads me to believe this also could be a massive publicity stunt to liven them back up again. As far as i can tell, everyone is outraged :P Quite cute how we are so attached to that round rocket smarties tube :) If it goes, never again will i eat smarties :P

Its not at all. Its mostly scene points to be frankly honest. Its also used to get a point across. If your joking around, or being witty, it helps the discussion/arguement a lot. In all honesty, it takes f**king ages to learn when to use it, and when not, Coming from someone who can't type "you". Nice one :-

All of you slating it, actually have no clue. Theres a whole scene, a whole lifestyle behind this. Im not defending it, as most of the time its useless, and most of the time its used by people without a clue. However, if your anybody, you will come to use it, not as bad as they make it, thats the media for you. I've never ever come across someone using /\/\ for m, or |-| for h, ever. Thats all bullshit. 1337 however is commonly used. Anyone with a good year or two, or few years like me of IRC usage, will understand fully what im going on about. So, they are not retards at all thank you.
