Ah sorry, i didn't make this clear. The files are not removed, simply removed from the real database. There not changed on the server at all, there simply moved from one database to another. Also very true, and also why i may add another limit to the files. Idea is that the latest files are obviously the latest files, and therefor have a higher priority then some old file that is downloaded once every week. You may think once a week isn't much, but once a week times 147 files is quite a lot over a month. Just suggesting ways i can save the bandwidth. Every little helps heh, especially if over 140 files are effected, or 410.

Wow. Riding to be fair wasn't really up to scratch with the editing, but that right there is an example of how f**king great editing can help your video loads. I kept watching, just because of the editing. I wanted to see what object would change colour, and to what colour, and whether it would actually change. I can really appreciate the efforts that gone into it. However, some of the time it was overdone. Mainly at the loading bay and two starting moves. Other then that, some really proffesional editing there heh.

When this was discussed before, these where the main points that came about. First was the amount of control needed for the player. First of all you have left, right, forward and backwards balance when on backwheel. Then how do you determine when to blunt, and when to backhop, then when to gap, and how far, as well to front wheel or back. Then theres prescision, gaps to posts etc. Moving onto how to backwheel a object, or crank it, or front wheel it, or front tap it. In theory, it would be possible, but be stupidly hard. Then ofcourse as picki mentioned, theres would be the mass influx of random little kids who believe they can do a 20ft gap as they did it in the game. It would be nice, and in the future with developments in both the sport, and gaming consoles, it really isn't such a dream, but not just yet :S

In an effort to reduce bandwidth to allow trials-shack to stay open all month once again, i am proposing "The archive". Scenario one for "Last Modification"; Basically, archiving will take place every 24 hours, at 3am when traffic is at the lowest. The script will scan every directory and every supported file type, to see if it was last modified over a certain amount of days. For example, if i set the limit at any files over 120 days last modified, then ~410 files fall into that option. Just under half of the total files on trials-shack Scenario two for "Last Downloaded"; This again would scan every 24 hours at 3am but would only scan files in the database, where as scenario one scans every supported type (for reference, there are around 40 supported files not in the database). However, the time limit would be compared against the last download time pulled from the database. So for example, if i set last download limit to 30 days, then 143 files will be archived. There are advantages for both scenarios. They are however both as in-secure as eachother. Its very easy to fake either, one easier then the other, but both just as easy. Now, what actually is the archive? The archive is a big list of all files that can be downloaded, but only with a password, which will be retrievable from the user area. The password will be randomly generated when the file is archived. If users know the password, they may download an archived file. Any questions, dont be afraid to ask, i can understand this being hard to understand in places. Vote/discuss away. Also, as you may of guessed, trials-shack will be closing early once again this month, hence new ideas and stripping down of the site, which some have noticed.

Put it in from the other side. The sleeve in the center is known to cause faults with some bottom brackets. I had the exact same problem. Basically, you put in the sleeve in from the other side. However, the shop did it all for me, and i only heard how they did it from my dad, so the information may be incorrect. I know theres a way to do it though, as i have Race Face bottom bracket in, which is known to not fit (Y)

No that wouldn't. I dont have a problem with someone getting sent a video to upload, as thats there problem, and there time they are wasting. However, account sharing, when new registrations are not allowed sort of defeats the object a bit heh. Don't worry, your all in for a shock soon enough regarding rules, usage policy and certain roots im taking to try and prevent another mid month closure. Meh. Send the video by all means, but do not share details. I know its not in the rules, but i never thought it would come to such high usage, or security threat.

Camera man was me throughout. Indeed i was shaky. As it mostly god damn freezing, so keeping it still was a mission. I however bought a tripod, as you can tell from half of the clips, so that should ok now :P

If your using internet explorer or firefox it should be fine. mpg's work in safari, but nothing else, and as far as i know, nothing works in opera. If your using i-e or firefox, it may be down to your ISP, unless the problem has always been happening.

That was sweet. Even when i rode london with you all that time ago, you came up with completly odd lines, and i can see now you still have that flare for good lines. As well as lines, your skill has defianitly progressed. Nice editing, was a bit skeptical on music at start, but it worked out very well indeed. Nice one :lol:

f**k me. The video was probably more awesome for me as we have been looking at the drops and gaps that you just did for a good year or two now. (Y) The one by the uni, the one by memorial, the bench to wall at the crazy bench place, as well as the infamous wall to rail :) Also, it might be interesting to note, that when james does the bench to wall, that wall is only around 4ft wide, and has a sheer 30 ft drop to water or concrete depending on tide the other side :lol: That my friends, is one f**king awesome video. Good music choice too :P

Basically, the length of the intro was depicted by the song. I had three choices, well, four, but the fourth i didn't relise i had until after half way through the whole video. The first is what you see now. Traffic going post with fades and traffic reverse timed to music, as well as text. Second was the same camera posititon, but lee on the lower (gray concrete) flower box just infront of where he is in the current intro. However, he doesn't make the gap, and this would of been even worse then the current one. Third was filming an intro on the rocks. Have camera on rocks pointing towards pier on a cloudy & sunny day, so the sun rays would be shining through clouds, and you would have rocks and pier and beach in shot. Speeded up and slowed down where appropriate. The last one, which i didn't relise i had was lee on the gray box, waiting for a gap in the traffic. However, i did not notice i had this until half way through, and it would of basically been the exact same as the current intro, just different scene. The idea was to have it how it was, fade in out to the music, i was going to add more but im not advanced enough for the ideas i had. I will admit, the beat where the riding should of suddenly come in was far from perfect, but that was the footage i had to use, and i used it. Hopefully to the best that it could of been used too that i could create with my not so great premier skills. I can completly see what you mean, and i wish the intro to the song was shorter, but thats what i had to work to, so i did :P Glad some liked it heh, as i really didnt :P Thanks jonny, but it really, really isn't better then your efforts (Y)

Evening. As some may know fo you have been looking at the "Official Songs In Videos Thread!", i have been creating a new site, to help combat this type of thread. Basically, over the past few weeks, my hub hasn't been skipping, but just not enganging. I thought nothing of it until it kept happening. So lee had a look, and it was sorted, until it started skipping really bad. Then, last week on the worthing ride, it just went balls up. I will try to explain it. I would be riding along, and the hub/cassette which ever it may be, just locks up for a second or to. Which ofcourse f**ks everything up, as the chain gets thrown down. I took it apart today, and i noticed a few things. The teeth, obviously from where that much force is put on it, have been squashed sort of thing. You know when you hammer something, in the same place, the metal has no where to go but squash out, so every tooth has a that bit of metal at the top. Not sure if this could be causing it? Other then that, the hub looks like any other trials used hub. So, any ideas? Just incase i send it to hope just so they can tell me it isn't the hub. Also, a quick question. Can i send hope the whole wheel, obviously without tyre/tube if it comes to sending it to them. Or do i have to strip the wheel to just the hub. No i haven't rung them yet, simply because im not 100% sure its the hub, or even if its worth sending it.
