What the f**k. When i ride walls and stuff, it usually is on the street. When i ride rocks and shit, its usually natural. Stop trying to define everything to the last detail. I ride street, on a street. No i don't do manuals and shit on the walls, but im not about to go and say "Yeah, i ride close" or "I ride concrete". Stop being so politicly correct. If you want a steel/cromo mod, get a leeson, if they decided to make them that is. Otherwise, just ride your alu things. Anyone can manual on anything, whether it be 375 chainstays or 400 chainstays, it just takes practice. This is not abuse aimed at anyone before someone decides to go off on one, its just opinion on this subject.

Ah, well if you have to show you can deal with money paying clients, then i can fully understand, its just i thought it was for the portfolio.

Not to piss on your fire, but you need work for a portfolio, and charging for that isn't the way to go about it. Hell, im even waiting to work for free at my first job, as every web designer will face when entering into the proper at work trade. You work for free, or don't work. Sorry, but you need portfolio material, not cash in the pocket. Stop asking for money and make people some stuff. You won't even lose that much as the money you will gain later on, from the portfolio you create now will be worth a lot more then charging and not getting a portfolio, and thus no job. Im all for charging if the job is massive, but for little banners or something, i really can't see the point. Meh, just my opinion, if you want to charge, and it works, then don't so no obviously, but just incase.

Nice site heh. Can see you have tried, so pat on the back for that :P One thing i noticed instantly was the navigation. You have the background as white, but the rollover colour as white for the links, which needs to be sorted heh. Another thing, maybe define the navigation more, maybe with a "1px solid #CCCCCC" border or something :P Nice one for getting it all going, for the ladies as well as other riders :D Site doesn't shake by the way :P

Its a bike, well done. Why are you bumping a thread with a picture and specification of your bike? Your not selling it, nor is it some prototype we have never seen before. That sticky at the top is there for a reason, for this reason. What do you want to hear? That we love the bike and want to have its babies? Its a bike, theres not much one can say on a bike. :P

Don't remind me (Y) Im really looking forward to it, if they hurry up and reply, otherwise im not :P

http://www.trials-shack.co.uk/hosted/vizbikes_video_1.wmv Andy asked me to upload a few hours ago, but he went offline so couldn't inform him it was done. Nice video heh, didn't that little camera of yours would produce decent-ish quality stuff. Nice riding, as always from your chai. That road gap is still stupidly big (Y)

Shawshank Redemption is 100% my top film. Best film ever made to be frankly fooking honest. (Y) Also extremely like Oceans 11, Oceans 12 is good, but not as good as 11. The two Bourne's i also mucho like.

If you haven't already yet, get Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004. I think 2004 is the latest one. Dreamweaver is the industry standard, and so are most other Macromedia products. Its only 150mb to download i think. Not suggesting you should download it, but incase you do :P There will also be millions of tutorials, as so many people use it. It isn't all that hard to understand anyway :)

No they don't (Y) Its adobe's attempt at a entry level designer package. Its never really taken off, and only schools use it now, as it comes with photoshop for them. :)

Hahahaha. I just got pasted this on one of my many chat resources. http://www.worldjumpday.org/ So, you think its actually possible? Do you actually think any of the 77 million are actually serious? :) More so, you going to do it? (Y) I would laugh though, on that day/time if you did jump and the world did actually drop, and as you landed from your jump, the world did actually shake (Y) Sorry if this seems really random, but i found it highly amusing :P - Jump for a better world, sign up today! - Stop the greenhouse effect, jump! Sorry if anyone is signed up and serious about it by the way, no harm intended.

For anyone on 300k and using there set-top box. You have to phone up and get a NTL engineer to come out and replace the box. As soon as they have replaced (and upgraded it to some samsung one) the 1mbit will be working. Yey for 1mbps next tuesday :-

That was some shit hot video right there. I love the way you not only capture great riding, from seriously good angles, but you can also capture the trials atmosphere like a fish makes to water. The nipple bit at the end (Y) Top job :S

Such as the one about driving car. Its illegeal to drive a car without a person walking infront walking and waving a flag, warning other users there is a car coming.

For files or for users? Which ever one, its a bad idea. 3 downloads a day per file is stupidly low, considering there around 4000 downloads a day (ish). 3 downloads a day per user is basically eeng' and is one of the reasons users don't like eeng anymore. If i do limit downloads, it will be on a per file basis, and will be a lot more then 3 per day (Y)

Yeah, honestly, i didn't fancy the coral cache, so didn't look further into it. Again if im honest, i would prefer to use all in-house scripts. Still not looked into the torrent option yet though, and i keep meaning to do so. Basically (totally revealing how trials-shack works here :S ) the file is uploaded via FTP as you would normally. In the parent public_html directory is a .htaccess which rewrites how supported file types are handled. This is why you see a normal page when loading a video, and not the actual video. Because of the .htaccess, if i simply then linked to the file, you would only download a html page. To get around this, i "parse" the file using a mass of around 15/18 header(" "); statements, which sort of "fake" the file being there, and brings up the save dialog box, in most cases anyway :D Its not easy to look at ways to stop bandwidth via the file parser, but its not to hard. However, its a lot easier limit things before the file parser, such as the archive and big files per-day download limit. In reference to forwarding, thats basically what i do, but because of the way .htaccess works, i can't simply link to the file, and have to do it the way i explained.

This is also why i may be imposing a download limit for items over a certain amount. For example, a 60+ MB video may only be downloaded 300 times a day, and a 70+MB video may be downloaded 250 times a day. (only for example, figures and will more then likely change) Archiving is just one of the steps im trying to take to preserve the bandwidth. Spacemunkee; Im honestly not sure how much it will save, but im trying to save where ever i can at the moment, hence removing the banners from the site, and re-coding it so its faster and less bandwidth intensive. A new server to cope would be an extra £50 a month and to transfer data would be £40/45. I can also do a list of donaters, as well as a how much is needed and how much is left, but not sure if its possible to do it dynamically. Currently im set to use ~1350GB, with my limit being 1200GB, which means closing around 2/3 days before end of month. I also don't think deleting is the way, as i've seen on a few occasions where new members, and old have remembered an old video and ask for it to be hosted, to find thats it on trials-shack, just really far down the list. Or ask a old deleted video to be re-hosted. Archiving solves this problems, as well as helping with the bandwidth, if only a little bit, it still helps.

If my wheel comes back in time, and in a healthy condition, then i may come. Also depends on how much money i have, depending on how much they charge for wheel, and my t-shirt and hoodie that i need to get printed. Missed the last 2 southampton rides heh, better try and make this one (Y)

Basically yes. Except passwords i won't be able to access, well i can obviously, but passwords will be randomly generated for each and every video that goes into the archive, so each file has a different password. The password can then be got from the user area, or it will e-mailed to the user. Coding part isn't hard at all. I already have "shells" coded for each scenario, and days can be set to any amount. Just need to see what people think.

Yey, now the load between each female link has a big hole cut in it, so it all runs along two relatively small bits of metal. Then, to top it off, they made it have hollow pins. I can see it being ok for XC riders really, i wouldn't really trust it on a trials bike though. Saying that, i don't trust much on my bike at the moment (Y) Also agree with UrbanLegend. Saving weight; yes, in a chain; no.

If you don't accept cookies, this may cause the download to just "hang". Trials-shack does use cookies, as thats how it knows what videos you last downloaded. If the cookies don't solve it, then i really have no idea, as it works for everyone else (Y) Sorry i can't be of any further assistance, but wrong cookie or security settings is all i can suggest.
