    S'alright for some heh.
  3. I remember that well, but only 'cause we had a "who can ride the slowest", and i won it by a mile. Maybe i was a trials rider in waiting back then.
  4. Greatest ever post if you live in the year 2003.
  5. Jonny has already mentioned he's not at all interested in web design, so me commenting on his code is useless. Although, style sheets and closing img tag's aren't all that important as it is anyway. Not in the grand scheme of things anyway.
  6. The link below that one. Jonny needs glasses.
  7. v3 = jaffa. Signatures for the win. I just looked at the site again, to see if i could give anything constructive, but it's basically perfect, exactly how i would want a site to look and behave.
  8. Yes! Finally! Awesome. A site on here i can truely say i really like. However, it's basically exactly the same theme as v3. Man, the v3 design was so far ahead of it's time, and it's taken so long that a year down the line, and everyone is doing the same theme. Love it.
  9. Holy shit, you could take someone's eye out with that. And a sizable part of their leg.

    Posting 101

So so so old. I remember when i was the main mirror for that movie. Pulled 170gb of bandwidth a month. I wan't my server back.
  11. Last i heard he was doing motorbike trials, and pretty damn good at it too. I've not seen him ride in a good 8 or 9 months though. I'll send Lee or Bren to this topic, they might be able to tell you more, as i'm afraid i don't have his e-mail, or any contact details.
  12. I love being skinny, all my muscle's are amplified, and my back look's almost like that 'cause of it, although obviously not quite so large. There is a vain part in me somewhere.

My firefox view area is the exact same as my internet explorer one. Given, now it isn't as i've just got the web developer extension, which is another tool bar, but before, it was the exact same. You'll hate IE 7 then.

But there isn't any advice i can give really, code is code, it's either well thought out, or had no thought put in. It's not just a fact of making a site, slamming it together. Hell, i even print out the design, and draw on each layer of the site, how i'm going to slice it, how i'm going to make each section work in smaller and larger browsers, how parts that might not be multi browser compatible can be made multi browser compatible. The only advice i can give is re-do the HTML, or atleast re-think how it's put together, and how one can utilize the features of HTML better. Tables are exactly that, for tabular data, not to design websites in, and it's extremely bad practise. Hell, even i'm guilty of it for my first shop, but i restricted my use of it, where a table wasn't needed, it wasn't used. I'll tell you know, when it comes to websites, i'll be the first inline to offer any kind of advice. I've written countless guides on how to do things, and helped countless people on MSN, as long as they are willing to learn, i'll offer advice. I'm not saying the person who did it isn't willing to learn, but advising on code is a hard subject, as there is so much of it. Maybe i was a bit harsh in my first post, for which i apologize for.

6 weeks and you are taking photo's of that quality? Awesome. Much better with the picture's on the right too, nice one. Only thing i can suggest now is stating somewhere that if you click on the image, it take's you to the next one, as it isn't immediatly obvious.

No, that's what i mean, the thing takes the most time is the thing the viewing public don't see, the thing that makes managing the site a lot easier. And i know you've not done the site yourself, hence why i commented on the bad code. A site is a product, and i view the site as a whole product. It's like a mechanic goes to buy a car, he doesn't just buy a car without looking at the inner's, same as with me and websites. And Ben, why should i give a proffesional web developer a "break".

See, at work, i still saw the old site, but at home i don't. Try ctrl+f5 a few times, or wait a day or two for the DNS to update. Also, i'll think you'll find they wasn't a new and fantastic design, they just wanted the online ordering and new back end. No doubt the admin area is a lot easier to use, hell, they didn't even have one on the old site. Most of the changes you won't see, although i do wonder why it took so long, as i can't see where the time has gone, even the HTML is awefull, and making that properly only takes a day or two's work. But meh, s'not bad.

Without looking at the source, i'd have a guess at your using <p> tags. Firefox handles the margins correctly, IE not. If you're not using <p>, i'll have a look at source. Also, 1024x768 is pretty much standard, so i would cancel out the usablity of your site in it just because you believe it's old and out dated, when it infact is far from it.

Correction, in firefox it looks correct. I'm glad you don't aspire to be a web designer. Stick to photography and design.

It's not instict too though. You see the photo navigation, click a picture, then it's gone, so you automatically scroll down to see it again. I didn't know you could click the image to go forward. I wouldn't leave what certain functions of your site do, to guess work. As if i saw that, i wouldn't want to click incase it takes me elsewhere, like backwards, or to a site about the guy in the picture, or what ever. For instance, on v3, the navigation is actually hidden, and you used to have to click the name of the site that was in the top right. It turned out that no one actually noticed this was a link, as people just assumed it was the banner. Even with it clearly written with "[expand menu]", people still seem to not find it. Usability sucks, but has to be address every now and then.

1024x768. I would never design a site to be bigger at default then that. I don't really like going bigger then 800x600, but with the amount of information i have to put on site's, i go to 1024x768 as the minimum that it can be viewed properly in.

The idea behind it was great, but having to scroll down every picture, in that iframe got really annoying. Maybe re-think that. Other then that, nice one. Shit hot photo's too.
  23. So i guess it's not black board either, 'cause you know, i'm well trying to insult a person of different colour when i refer to the board i write on in class. Nor is it black bin bags either, as you know, i'm again insulting people of different colour. Get over it. If i got called white, so f**king what, i am white. Get over it. What he said was in no way racist. At all.

If you can't get above 13 seconds, you're stupid. As for the first 13, you can sit in one corner and not have to do anything, then up to 23 is easy, it's just from that corner, to one below, to center, and back to corner, and i've not got past 23 seconds yet.
