  1. Wow mate. That's some proper riding. Respect from Russia.
  2. Thank you Bondy Erm...what you ve just said means: "My bunny is broken". We don't normally say that actually. I guess a little girl could say that if her toy-bunny was broken... hehe You pronounce it as: "Moi krolik sloman" Here I recorded it so can hear it. LINK to the Wav (save as) Matt, what's wrong matie? :) Btw, I wrote about you in a mag (your 24" stylee). I will send you the scans if you want them when it's out :)
  3. SQuiT-man, actually I like Batch most of all :- because it's sooo light. But it has crappy brakes. Monty is awesome. I hate long bikes now. Hate new-school. It's all about fashion.... Blackghostknife, oh yeah mate! How are doing? Why don't you come to Russia with guys? We will drive you in a Mistu EVO8 fast...very fast  Like on this video: http://www.rul.ru/i/video/M5vsRS4.mov - 20mb hi-quality or http://fishki.net/video/mkad.wmv - 5mb This is the famous so called "Road of death", the road-ring around Moscow called MKAD. It's the place where people go very fast... I you can't download it...tell me, I will put it in a different hosting.. billocks, thanks Bill henri estonia - hehe, that's cool man. А вот наши бедные английские друзья ничего не могут прочитать (Y) хехе

  5. Peter, my pads are doing fine. I had to put the new ones in the helmet, because the London ones were stinky  Ben, yeah mate, I remember meeting you near Hyde Park with your friend. Yes, that was my GF, she still is (Y) Erm, I am selling my Zoo in parts now...because nobody wants a complete bike, but many want posh used parts. Damn, my Ti Batch Mod is still a lot ligher than my Monty....
  6. Yeah, I agree that the lighter - the better, but now imagine me. I am very tall and heavy and another 200 grams won't do any difference to me. The problem i used to have is that sometimes due to my weight i hit the rims very hard. And with this big tyre there is no problem about that. And by the way....Russia is such a funny country....you must have a very posh car to be respected :- e.g. If you have a '92 BMW 520 it's much better than a '05 Toyota Avensis...I am not sure if you understand me right, but this country is very differenet from the UK... and due to this fact having 2.7 instead of 2.5 means being a COOL GUY (N) Hehe :-
  7. Janson, off course I do remember you mate :- How's it goin? Thank you for you comments
  8. terror-error, erm...they are a lot fatter than the CC's.....but I have never ridden CC's, so I can't really tell you...my 2.7 is pretty soft...as soft as CC. I like the Monty ones more...they have grippy protector on the sides and they look sooo nice....and they are good for my weight, because there is always plenty of space for "sketchy landing"... They sit pretty close to the chainstays on my Monty. I have just tried the Zoo Python '04 frame with that tyre - there is even more free space on Zoo. So there won't be any problem with fitting it. The only thing is that Monty rims are pretty narrow comparing to TryAll for example, so I am not sure if my tyre fits when i use it with TryAlls.
  9. Hehe :- These Tyres came with my Monty as it is. When I saw these tyres at the World Champs (in the Monty stall) I fell in love with them. The guys told me it would never be for sale as it was a prototype. They said the retail one will be max 2.6 And that's what we've got on the Monty website. But if you look at the new 221pr specs, it says 2.7. When I saw these tyres at champs, I begged my russian Monty dealer (montybikes.ru) to try to bring the tyres with the bike. We never knew what would come, but when we opened the box, we saw the 2.7 on the bike. The second 221Ti also came with that tyre. I guess Monty finally decided to produce them... Or maybe it was my dealer who made them put the tyres with his order... Anyway, I know the same bikes in the UK come with standard 2.5 tyres....
  10. loffa, bez problem. Budu prygat' :- RicH_87: mate, if it was always snowing, i would never live in that country. But the weather is usually nice in Summer and Autumn. snappel, thanks Ian. Looking forward to getting "beaucoup de la musique de toi" (N) And yes, it's the full Monty. What's wrong with that? :- JT!, it is a Monty tyre 2.7. The biggest ever. I luv it so much, because it i never hit the rim with my heavy weight arse.
  11. Hehehe Lol people, I wonder what would you say if you knew the words he wrote under the pic. :- These are the strongest russian swear words (N) Например: "сука, блять, пидер :-
  12. trialsking 55, cheerz mate. I will send the publisher that pic. Rob P, wow, cool. I looking forward to seeing what you've got there! Thanks!
  13. Wow...so much response! Thank you! I will take one of these ways!
  14. Hello my english collegues! As some of you may know, I visited London this summer. One russian mtb mag asked me to write them a little article about riding in the UK and in London in particular. I did the text, I sent them some pics, but as I was watching the guys riding, I took many videos, not photos. The mag needs hi quality pics to publish with my article. Please. If you have any good pics of you or your friends riding....don't hesitate sending them to my email: x-lite @ mail.ru (this is the high capacity email, please don't use the one i have with my profile). I will also need your name with the pics so we can put it in the "Photos by ***". The only thing i can ask you is to send the pics where you can definetly see that this is not Africa, but the UK....eg houses and cars and gardens...the pics should contain the uk stylee arounds :ermm: Thank you in advance! Dmitri

    Kot

There is a little review of the bike at Kot's website. http://www.kotbikes.com/media.php?p=3&op=1

It is actually available in Russia now. A friend of mine owns one. Here are the pics of the bike just after having broken the mech hanger: http://biketrials.ru/board/download.php?id=18264 http://biketrials.ru/board/download.php?id=18260
  17. Thank you for the comments, comradz! I will try the other tyres when it's possible. Corish, yes....the disk is opposite to the manufacturer's suggestions, but it's believed to stop the bike a bit softer when you put it this way.
  18. skandy, I wanted exactly the shining black. A friend of mine did his XTP in mat black at the same guy's. Check out the link (it's in russian, but you can still see the pics). http://biketrials.ru/board/viewtopic.php?t=17504
  19. Oh, cheerz Lukio. We will discuss it  Thank you for the rack, but the bikes will be disassembled (wheels, forks, frames and bars separately). It takes a lot less space. Oi, mate. I am off for packing the bikes.
  20. Michael, I have also tried many tyres: Echo, all previous Monty models, Onza....even one from an mx motorbike (yes, it fit!). The newer models aren't in stock and that's why i haven't tried them on yet. And according to the punctures....erm...I am not a pro at all, but I have ridden mods for around 5 years and I used to have punctures when I did some hard stuff on the concrete obstacles...but having taught to ride softer I forgot about punctures on rear...I only have one or two a year. I have sometimes punctures on the front when doing big gaps with pedal up...the speed is high and it hits badly sometimes. But it's a seldom thing for me now. Maybe because I am older now and don't do any experiments  I am buying a Monty in August and I will see how those Monty tyres feel. As to the price...erm...yeah, they are expensive...but I prefer to spend a bit more and have less problems with bike in future. Btw, tryall rear tyre costs 40 euros here, it's about 26 pounds. Dunno, maybe you have it more expensive in the UK....
  21. thank you for the comments. And what's wrong with the TryAll? Monteys and Maxxis aren't in sale here in Russia. Yes, the TryAlls are very soft and they don't roll well, but i carry my bike on the car roof and don't care about the rolling characteristics. What else is wrong with that tire? Please tell me and I will by a monty or maxxis one if they are really better.
  22. Hello comradz  I looked at my Zoo a couple of weeks ago and saw a lot of black stuff on it. I decided to have it painted in black. There is a guy here in Moscow. He has professional factory facilities for painting. The whole Frame+Fork thing cost me 15 pounds. What do you think on the whole look of the bike after this modification? PS: I'll be probably selling it in the end of July when I am in London. Sorry for the law-quality pics. My 5mp camera is not around...
