So here is my new Triton. The Sexy one The bits: - “Shark Fin” rotor protector. Nice Moto-X idea I always wanted to introduce on a trials bike. Aluminum CNC machined. Approx 40 gr. Fits 180 and 203 mm rotors. I made myself a thin protector because I mainly sidehop to the right side. The mounting and shape is still being developed. It takes time. - Horizontal dropouts + floating 180mm rotor disc mount. - Superstiff top yoke. Good for rimbrakes (though I did not put magura mounts on this frame) - Internal brake hose guides. It has become so comfortable to carry the bike now. Props to Klein bikes. - It is titanium and it is powder coated. Got bored with original Ti color. Went for white. Weight: 1650-1750 gr depending on the geo and bits. Geo of my bike: WB: 1010 BB: +45 CS: 362 HT: 72

t.w.o, I liked that "vtulocku" and "ezdiet". Why can't you use some online translator or ask an english speaking russian person to translate?

The lad on the right is actually me Does Tic still ride?

That's it! Steve Morris! I had forgotten his name. Have you got a present picture of him? Haven't met him riding during my later stays in the UK. Luke and Cara back in the old days Do you know this guy? I met him at Hexagons in London. He ran double disc. Boris Shandybin. I like this shot. '99 Riding my monty x-hydra at some demo in Moscow.

I like this topic a lot. Remember the same one at section7 The beginning (1997) One of the London rides (i am on the left). Guess Ian knows all other riders. Go on, name them mate Luke Edwards....Steve..erm whatever...Kevin...dont remember the rest I gap at South Bank Some dodgy kids nicked my lovely Merida in the East London Lukio on his Pashley MXAT is the riding spot in Moscow. The left bit was taken in 2001 (me gapping). The right one is fresh (a friend of mine)

Russian Python with Avid BB7 on the back (185mm) and handmade disk mount

Jake, you are right. Raw tubing looks ugly. We also polish the tubes before blowing those ball shites... Ian, you also used to say 5 years ago: "Dmitri, "hello retard" means "hello my friend"
-
The frame is not actually painted. We blow tiny glass balls at high pressure (translated to English, it sounds a bit funny). That's what makes the frame look mat. Titanium cannot have corrosion so there is no need for any laquer to be applied. When you cut Ti, the fresh metal surface mixes with oxygen forming Ti oxide pellicle that protects the whole piece. Lol. Do I sound like a nerd?

Lol. Sorry guys. I thought Ladudno was somekinda slang spelling for London Damn. Do you know anyone who rides London and has MSN? Cheerz

Hello Craig Are you talking about a London ride? There is a Russian guy in London who is eager to ride with someone from the UK, but he hasn't found anyone yet. Please tell me where he should be at 12 and I will send him there Cheerz Dmitry

A funny fact came up to my mind. Rover has been owned by a Chinese company Nanjing Automobile for over a year now. I still remember seeing on TV those strikes at the Rover factory where the workers were carrying banners with slogans like: "We are not a Chinese takeaway!"...

There is nothing bad about Deng. He has invested a lot into biketrials. I respect him very much. But looking at the improvements in the DH and XC componentry industry I want those bits. Not just color-coded square-ish CNC bits. Why do I have smooth welds on an XC bike and can't have it on a trials bike? But there is a lot of progress anyway. 2 years ago all the frames were silver. Now, there is a choise of colous (black and white added).

I totally agree with you. This is one of the reasons I have started up my own company. Just wanted to give riders something different from the mass production bullshit. But the thing is....custom build frames (in my case) do not bring any much profit. It costs me up to 15 times more to build a frame compared to Deng. But the retails are the same. Deng and his dealers in countries make a lot of money. Which is good for trials in some way. But I don't see quality there.

Haha! Repeat after me: TZAR (like frames) Re-GO-Rod-tsev

Dnb For Biketrials Video's? Dont Think I've Seen Any..
Gazza replied to Will Arnold's topic in Videos
Ages ago I created a topic at biketrials.ru suggesting the videomakers to switch to other types of soundtracks... All trials videos have those rockish alternative soundtracks...I don't even know how to call that music style. I know one thing: all trials videos are alike due to the same type of music on the background. I am not against this style. But it doesn't touch me. I've been into dnb for many years. Probably, it's a bit too fast for trials...but you can also edit the vid to rhytm of drum'n'bass. There are also many other styles...like minimal house, tech house...maybe happy hardcore or gabber...or agressive gangsta rap....or triphop Classic music maybe? Arnold, thanks for the vid. I totally agree to you. There MUST appear some difference. -
http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/shtuk Boksi.wmv Harry Potter rides trials! Check out his appearance Anton is 17 now and has been riding for 2 years. What do you think of the vid? Gazza

I just love the thin-tubbed frames with proper componentry. The English style. Where is the seat though?
-
That 360 dropout will not slip. This kind of holder is widely used in machines of all kinds. Just take the old-style stems and bars. They used to have one bolt. And you could hardly slip the bars around. And the power aligned to the dropouts is different and does not apply on slipping the excentrics.

I used to call him the same...but he called me a Russian C*nt Anyways. If you come to Russia, I can give a set to you too.
-
Hehe...if you came in Russia. I would let you have a set. You take nice pics. Now you should find a ticket deal to Moscow
-
Oh right...no plugs. Man, call Luke and say: "I need those free!" He sure has a set.
-
Umm..sweet! Mate, the owners of Russian Tritons build their bikes treating your one as the example of a proper english bike. Does the 180 rotor works a lot better than the 160? (I know you switched to 180 ages ago. Just wonder)

I still own my old Batch Kot mod that has been produced at the factory I am making bikes now. Trials standards changed since then. The quality is now higher too. But this frame is 5 years old and I feel free to do any stupid moves on it. Ti is very strong, but you have listen to the riders' feedback. Dan's first Deema cracked in a strange place (where seat tube and headtube are welded together). I received the pics from Dan, took the to factory and we investigated the reason. I like Titanium because it's custom, not mass production. We immediately changed the technology for that little bit. Dan got another frame which you can see at the pics. This has been the only cracked frame so far. Saying frankly, I was somekind of happy when it cracked. I then knew what was supposed to be changed. I want more frames to crack....erm...I mean I don't want them to crack, but if they do, then I can update the next coming ones according to the issues we've had.

Wow...someone did the baby blue finally! Wicked. Reminded me of VW Golf MK2 Gti's
