That was the one I was looking at, but I've seen this now and it looks alright, the thing that interested me was the cassette hub, 33:12 ratio and the fact thats it comes in black. Would that be alright? Edit: also this looks aight, whats the difference between that and the battery?

Thats what was putting me off, Is the spec really that good? I can't tell lol. Heres the deal, I'm looking to get myself a decent(ish) bmx on my birthday, by then I'll have £300 together which should give me some good choice. I've already got a front tyre and pedals so if getting parts and building it all up seperately will save me copious amounts of money then i'll do that, but i'm not sure on whats good. I'd like something just plain and black probably, nothing fancy I can't afford profiles or anything like that and I'm not bothered about it having a giro or what seatpost ect. it has but i'd like it to have a decent(ish) back brake and a small front sprocket (33:13 a decent ratio?) what dy'all reccomend? also has anyone got anything fo' sale? cheers

Strength isn't really an issue to be honest as they all have to pass a test to be sold, so none are going to break straight out. So it's basically just down to what looks good, and ventilation. For trials use I'd reccomend the Semi mx as it has more protection on the back/neck area and thats normally the most common place you would hit it. My mates using a giro indicator though which seems fine. just have a look around your LBS, a helmet that fits well is more important than anything else...

On the subject does anyone else do 1/4 a pedal stroke only? Asin starting with you forward foot at the 12oclock and ending with it a 3oclock. I've never seen anyone else that does it like this and everyone i know doesn't know how i can get as high as i can from it, yet it feels more comfortable than doing a full pedal stroke. Saying that i can't get any higher than 36'' so i might need to learn full strokes to get higher?

You wouldn't mind getting a few rough measurements would you Mark? my mate is interested in getting one when it comes out but isn't sure if it will be too long/short for him etc. cheers

If you're going for snail cams, I wouldn't get the stainless steel ones, mine are really soft and have bent and made notches in themselves from where they bush against the bolt, even though the chain isn't perticularly tight!
