I find it so amazingly strange that people are suggesting ACS's! So many people have problems with them compared to hopes. The majority of stock riders run them, without problems, mine's nearly two years old, and never skips. And i don't have to worry about tightening it up all the time. :- Go with the tried and trusted, people have successfully been running hopes for years. Don't stop now. :o Failing that, get a king. :D Mike.

Yeah, he does run a king. (Held tight with a spoke (Y)) Everyone get one, then you can ride as good as tunni. Fatmike guarantee. Niel, respect for that vid, some crazy moves. Just crazy. Even though i've seen alot of the footage a while back though. :- Gutted about the crash though, i've been told about it, and can understand how upset/gutted you were! I hope it does heal soon! :) Mike.

I love the shape of them, but can't be bothered with all the *supposed* problems associated with them, so i got a lever blade cheap, got edd potts to have a look at it, and make some washer things so there was no play, and so it's nice and smooth, haven't looked back once. They're really comfy, they're actually designed to be ergonomic, perfect 1 finger braking. Mike.

Urrr, at a guess i'd say he bought it as a full bike. You're expecting him to know the exact price of the frame only? Especially as the price (Which i can't even remember off the top of my head) is for the frame "kit". Gutted to hear it, at least a nice new frame should only cost you £100 or so. :- Give supercycles (the place i presume u got it from) a ring tomorrow. Mike. Edit: Beaten to it, hehe.

From the album: Fatmike
1st person to do this line. Ever. -
Fatpike? Aye, i'll be out. Should be quite a big ride. Shame worcester's crap.

Hmmm, i've discovered a bug. You're in a conversation, the other person signs out, it doesn't say they've signed out. It just says "this message has not been delivered to...." Least it does on mine anyway.

Bristol's the main ride on saturday. Try and get down there. Mike.

I apolagise for the (semi) uselessness of this post: Scotty, you've just made about 20 posts of crap. I don't know whether having "scotty trials " plastered a million times over the forum makes you happy, but please do it on 10yearoldsunited.com. You obviously have nothing to add, and know nothing about any of the subjects you "reply" in. Please just shut up, and stop posting crap. I'm sure i'm not the 1st person to say this either. (seen one or two posts in Sm chat ) Mike. Kyle, sorry to inturrupt the thread further, but this was the topic at the top of the page. (At time of writing) Once again, good luck with finding it/claming. :o

I've been using the etnies rooftop 3's since June. They're my only pair of non-school shoes, so get worn all the time, and they're still going strong. Really stiff, comfy, and the sole's lasting very well. Although tart's made the reply with the most sense, just try all the ones out you can. Mike.

http://www.eengoedidee.nl/videoz/bike-trials/mechstuff.mpeg Voila. :)

Gutted to hear about that kyle. :) I presume it was on a first great western train? They make you put the bike in the bit, and you've really got no way of looking after it. ;) Also, the only reason they've actually given me for not allowing the bikes in the doorway area of the compartment, is that it "ruins the carpets". Great thinking first. "Transforming travel". :) Hope he manages to get it back, or at least insurance. :) Mike.
-
Lol, good one tom. ;) :) Yeah, James. Obviously best to try a load of different set ups with both frames if possible. On the control, which length were you looking at, the 1065, or the 1085? I really couldn't see you riding a 1085, just wouldn't be right, 1065's where it's at. :) http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....cmd=si&img=6349 You're welcome to have a quick thrash on mine, just not on anything over 2 foot up. :) :D The controls do ride very nicely, as i said when i got it, ups are a bit harder compared to a pure because of the higher bb, but i quickly adjusted, and am now doing bigger. :D My advise is to ride as many people's as possible. Mike.

Evidently not. :-

I'm having a great week so far. :) Had a mint ride in oxford on sunday, had a mint snowfall on the way, but by the time i got there it was perfectly dry. Busted out some cool moves too. Monday wasn't too bad, few guys came to malvern for once, good fun. :) Today, got my coust pads fitted, reground my rim, works immense. Got some errands done, went to work, was good fun. Stood around talking for the last hour, and got paid for it. :- Weather's nice. Bike's working. New wheel coming soonish. Bristol Saturday. Yay. :)

Oh dear god. :- Powerballs.com The correct answer is 15027 RPM. :wink2: Urrrr. Do you mean 209 cars were used and 186 mangled, or 309 cars were used and 286 mangled?
-
Lmfao, even i've come close to that! :wink2:
-
You jackass, you got that from the "ideots quiz". It's noah. :wink2: What's the (official) world record of highest rpm acheieved on a powerball?
-
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=1263 Looks promising. :wink2: I shall be getting in at either 10:00 or 11:18, depending if i want to spend 1:52 or 2:30 hours on the train!! Should be a good ride. :-
-
*Cough. :- Meh, i think this thread's deteriorated into nothing now. :wink2:
-
Dear god, someone's moved teams, let's all argue to what trials is or not. Is it neccessary? P.s. Good luck to Giles. :wink2: :P
-
If you're running 1:1 gearing, yeah. :wink2:
-
You've got to allow the one freewheel to engage, then the other...
-
Not really, both freewheels would be taking the stress, except one would have pawls etc taking stress as oppose to just a cog. Not to mention twice as likely to skip, near enough half the engagements. And also, if they're ACS's, then they're usually not straight, so if you're unlucky then you'll have a tight chain and a slack chain at different points. :P Mike.
