  1. No, not yet. I will be doing so once the sealent arrives. (Y) :P
  2. "Whoops". Edit: Fair enough. Surely noone really cares what colour bars you have? It's not a massive decision, but it's certainly one based on personal preferance, so try and think for yourself, and what you want. (Y) Mike.
  3. I've learned that either you buy the "proper" (notubes) stuff, or water the latex down. Unless you put masses in, it'll dry, and become useless if you get a puncture. So by watering it down a bit, it won't dry. However it'll take longer to seal. Apart from that i couldn't fault it. I banged my front wheel on some damn sharp walls when i was using it, and obviously never pinched, and stabbed a couple of allen keys in there. :P" I've this minute ordered some proper notubes sealent from freeborn, and will be running that when it arrives. :P I heard what happened to Chai's sounded beastly! :P I'd reccomend it. (Y) Mike.
  4. Just browsing, not sure if anyone's seen this one too: The 2005 control, 1 peice bb & yolk (like on the pitbull), and an integrated brake booster as on the new hi-fi, i'm not sure of any changes in geometry at the moment. Also: New hi-fi (another angle) New team (another angle) Mike. (Y)
  5. Yeah, they are both the front 20" rims. (Y) That bike's aimed more at the beginner (read: small kids) market, whilst still having decent parts. (Y) Also, i was led to believe that the stock bike isn't the "new levelboss", infact currently just an un-named prototype. Looks interesting, but it obviously seems to just be another "sales pitch", something different to make it sell well. It might not even come out yet... Mike. Edit: Beaten to it...
  6. Foot high narrow beam, then 5 1/2 foot gap, with one foot up (like so) Rolling along very fast, 180 bunny hop up to the beam, then 180 back up to the pallet. (5 1/2 foot gap) I'm just downloading the video Judders has put up, i'll see if it's on that. (Y) Edit: Yeah, it is. Get that vid, some crazy lines nailed by tim (and everyone else!! (Y)) Yeah, Tom, as others have said, it was a mint comp, and it's such a great format. Urr, i would. I (+ many others) have spent a lot longer than that getting to places to ride. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but having the opportunity to travel to new places, to experience different things is a real bonus for me, i love travelling, so I personally don't see the 9hr round trip (in one day!) to the wales comp such a problem! Took me 14 hours to get to koxx days the other week, i enjoyed every minute of it. Obviously enjoying travelling doesn't suit everyone, but it would be more fun for everyone if people did make an effort, not just to come to these indoor events, but everywhere. :S Tom, don't stop these comps, i'm sure there are people that will be willing to help, leaving you with the satisfaction you've created something awesome, but also the time and energy to fulfill your relationship and educational work! As a lot of people have said, it wasn't the best weekend, but with koxx days and the bike show either side of it, the Jam, and the Hampshire/Essex comp (can't remember which) at the same time, it's never going to have a brilliant turnout. Stick with it mate, you're onto something good here. Mike. :)

    360 Tap Up

    From the album: Fatmike

    Axles

Speak to edd potts (dave85 on here), he should be able to make you one, a lot less than £60. Mike. :o

    Yaabaa!

What i want to know is where the heck they got my email address for their mailing list... The email, and the site looks so unprofessional! They've got like 9 rollover images (of the same "truck"), alternating between the stock and mod frames. Still, not as bad as the neck-crippling koxx site! Still, frames look ok, and damn cheaper than "proper" koxx', so maybe they'll sell well. Mike.
  10. Urrrm, cheers for the comments guys, but there's the senior member nominations thread in SM chat, which is where SM's get nominated, not chit chat. (Y) Anyway, the question was answered in the 1st reply, so maybe leave it at that. Mike. :o
  11. I take my hat off to that guy. He's a genious. A bit of a sick, twisted genious at that, but still a genious. Hmm, i clicked the paypal thing, and it currently says he's unable to recieve money. Maybe paypal have stopped his account? (Y) Good find. (Y)
  12. Agreed, i didn't realise he was that good untill he won koxx days! :P Fair play to the guy. Niouf, that video was really good, editing's definately improoved! That riding was silly! Can't really make one move stand out, they were all awesome! Haha, you know that bush that people were side hopping/upping over (onto the wall), jack meek front touched it to back wheel! (Y) Silly fool. :D See glasseye dvd for more. (Y) Nice one niouf. :D :P

  14. *cough. (Y) Nah, i get what you mean. Agreed with exactly what you said danny. The comp was so much fun, and it was really fun seeing riders pushing them selves, rather than just this standard "Get over this rock" malarky. You can appreciate riders' individual styles and moves. I really hope more people make the effort to get down there. We did over 8 hours travelling yesterday, all for two, two minute runs! Fair enough, some of you have other commitments (like family), and seeing as it's easter weekend, it's understandable; but if more people came down, it would just be more fun, and get to see some more moves being pulled! (like tim's sick 360 tap up that gap! *bows down*) Nice one to everyone that came along (even those that didn't compete), was really good fun. Props go to Tom + Co for organising it, and all the people that helped build the sections, they were ace. I know i'll be going to the next one. Mike. (Y)
  15. What's the image like? Is it a photo, with lots of colours, or even a plain image, but with smooth transitions between colours? If so, then don'r use a gif. You'll have to use a very high amount of colours, and even then it won't be as good as a jpeg, but be a lot bigger file size. If it's a plain image, with few colours, then yeah, use a gif. And if you're using a semi decent imaging program, then select the amount and which colours you'll be using. Then you can get a crisp image, with a tiny file size. Either work from scratch in photoshop, or export the image as a 24bit bitmap then export it from p/s as a gif. (Y) What image is it btw? Might be able to give some better tips on compression. For example: http://www21.brinkster.com/takeoffdesigns/pictures.html If it's a photo, or an image with lots of colours and colour transitions, a selective jpeg compression will be best. (You can select out of 12 on photoshop) If it's a banner type thing, with very few colours, exporting it as a .gif in photoshop, you can choose the amount of colours you want, and so will give the most effective size to quality ratio. (Y) Mike.

    Oh Dear!

Weird, it say's there's an attatchment (on the chit-chat index), but nothing's displayed... Will be solved soon i'm sure anyway. (Y)

    Click Me !

Yeah sharn, i definately told you it was second hand! I even told you the guy i got it off. :D *cough Still, they do all look good. Mike. :P

    Skin

And i've still heard nothing back from GÜ! :) I was really annoyed at the lack of quality control, and deliciousness of my chocolate souffles :) Still, back on to the moist topic of dry skin. :ermm:
  19. The bit you can see recessed in the back of the booster? No, that's just to save a little weight in that area, depending on the length of your cross over (ie, if it's not miles long!), it'll cover and protect it perfectly. :ermm: Anything else i can help booster wise - give me a shout. :) Mike.
  20. Whilst helping steve out with his developments of boosters, i took a few measurements of the control booster: http://www21.brinkster.com/takeoffdesigns/booster.html As you can see, the bolt holes are heavily recessed, so the bolts you're using on your RB will fit fine. :) Booster-wise, it does exactly what it's meant to - damn well! It's the stiffest booster that i've ever used (even got a shimano XTR sitting in my spares box :"> ), so i really can't fault it. Looks damn good too. :o I can't really see any advantages over the "team" booster compared to the "control" booster, apart from the fact it's marginally lighter, it's just as (if not quite) wide, but just less stiff. :) Mike. EDIT: Link works now. Edit 2: I've just realised that i've not put the depth of the bolt holes on! :ermm: But i presume they're at least half way in, so your normal bolts will work fine.
  21. Yes, the braking in the wet is non-existant, but the braking in the dry is rediculous! Steve-a uses that rim i believe (could be one slightly different...), and uses standard red maggie pads, and his brake is superb. We put my spare coust pads on his bike for a bit today, and it was immense! The best brake i have ever used! The rim also appears to be incredibley strong too - steve's done moves that would have left alot of other rims dented and buckled, and it's not dented or buckled once! :) For the 24" rider that doesn't ride in the wet, these really are the ultimate rim. :ermm: However, i'm sure steve will be able to fill you in on any points i've missed. :o Mike.
  22. No, the food colouring stained my hand for days. :) Maybe if you're actually into that kind of thing (not just very bored like i was :ermm: ), then coloured latex might be better. And besides, surrup you. :) Yeah, back to topic, don't bother spraying anything, it will just look wank. :o Mike.
  23. You broke a frame, they offered you a cheap replacement, as arsey as they are, and as much as PX suck, you can't really complain that much. But yeah, let's see the letter. :) Mike.
