  3. I'll be down there the last weekend of this month. Count me in. :S
  4. Steve > * I don't really need to post how good that was, don't want his little head getting too big. :S Top job. ^^ Etc.
  5. Bump. Mobile number i've got is: 07708730727, but never answers, so i'm guessing he never uses that anymore. I've just found his address too! zac clowes 18 ashcombe road cheddleton near leek staffs st13 7jf However - he is ex-directory, so i'm unable to get his house number! If anyone does know him, do help. :S Mike.
  6. Here I (unfortunately) fall into the same age braket as Austin, 15, 16 in a couple of weeks. Mike. :S

Get yo' bad ass to the hope stand at the bike show. B) They are infact minature hubs. :S Bike looks awesome nick, made a good choice. Hope you're liking the hub. B) I reckon matching blue forks would look awesome. :D
  8. I really like the java script bit at the bottom for back, forwards and top. Nice touch. Whole forum skin looks very professional - good job. (Y)
  9. Just like to point out a "nice one" to tom for getting the frtc announced im hop-hop in this month's mbuk. Nice one. (Y) I shall be coming to the next event (whenever it is :-) Congrats. Mike.
  10. I had a fantastic ride today, did some big stuff, and spent faaar too long on that last up though. :- Still got 42.5" to backwheel though. (Y) Had a cool 2 1/2 hour session in cheltenham with matt too. (Stupid trains) Nice one for going everyone. Mike.
  11. They're the really old ones then. The reason they snapped (as did a proportionally large majority of the older ones), is that all the force from the disc/disc mount obviously will go just above it, where there's the breathe hole; aka a stress point. The newer forks have an extended diskmount, which helps dissipate the stress through a larger area (think moments and pressure :P), and the breathe hole is a lot higher up, so becomes less of a stress point. If you can get some of the newer forks, 2nd hand possibly, that might be your best bet. Mike. (Y)
  12. Adam, are they the "newer" ones, with the extended disc mount, and higher placed breath hole, or are they the older ones? Mike.
  13. Me + Possibly Matt Burrows will hopefully be there in approximately 9 1/2 hours. (Half 10) See you there. (Y)
  14. I presume you're capturing via firewire in adobe? If so, why not just capture the clips you need, easier to organise, saves space, will be able to import it etc. Give it a try. (Y) Mike.
  15. I always do it after fairly large drops; It's just my body springing back up after being compressed, and so, the bike comes up with me. It's also to gain a bit of balance if you've landed slightly wrong, as shaun pointed out. :P Mike.
  16. "No, unfortunately not; nothing like that" "Oh ok then, thanks, bye" Or "Yes actually, someone reported exactly that the other day, i'll give them a call right now, so hopefully they can get it back ASAP" Without a doubt george is doing the right thing. It's not like the police(wo)man would actually give his details to whoever supposedly stolen it! Nice one. :P
  17. Thats a mountain bike with an internal gearbox...
  18. Bwahaha, that was funny. Didn't even get you though, got your rotor. (Y) Good shot ben! (Y)"
  19. Quite frankly, today sucked. Bike was being so crap. I got 3 punctures, and before today, i'd not pinched my maxxis once! My brake is shagged, and just won't do what i want it to. Also, a large proportion of the spokes in my rear wheel are sticking out (into the rim!) by about 5mm! Resulting in one out of the three punctures i had. I was also riding crap. I also had to use tar because i got chalk on my rim. I also had to get the train back on my own. I also ran out of cookies on the train. (Y) Apart from that, today rocked. :- (Y) Nah, was cool seeing everyone, least weather was good (apart from when it rained, but just a little). (Y) Mike.
  20. Nick's been riding the 1065 control since just after the bike show. He seems more then comfortable on it. He runs a 100mm(ish) echo stem, up-side down, and zoo risers. :D He's also (for quite a while) been concentrating on competitions, after competing in the worlds etc, he thought he preferred that, and so now, unfortunately, you'll rarely cath him popping a big long manual to crankspin drop. ;) Mike.
  21. Update; I've had his phone number for months now, and before he just said "yeah i'll send the money on friday" numerous times, and for the last month or so he's never answered. If anyone does know him, and can get the £35 off him, it'd be much appreciated! Mike.
  22. I was just about to post a topic like this one. (Y) I shall probably be coming. Mike.
  23. Wait for the glasseye dvd. (Y)
  24. The single speed hub can't have an option of a steel freehub - alu only. It's not a massive problem, especially if you're running a king kog - which you will be. There is no option of a titanium driveshell, (i'm not sure if there was a while ago?), and classics can have a steel driveshell too. Also, the diameter of the fun bolts is bigger than M10, and isn't imperial. :) Mike. :P
