Sorry, didn't mean to say it like that, I just meant to say that nail polish remover will be more effective. :) Sorry Adam! Mwa! xx
-
Urrr no. Nail polish remover will disolve the superglue. :) (Y) Works a treat!

Rowan, you can use any tyre. ;) :P It's definately worth it. Mike.

Have you got a DVD burner?

Interesting that the majority of people have said mod, and the majority of people that have replied are still pretty young. (One of the "perks" of being in nmc I suppose (Y)) And obviously, for many, mods will be the obvious choice to learn on, due to them being lighter, and easier to move about on. I would personally say that in the grand scheme of things, there are more stock riders than mod. Had you, say, asked this same question in the member's part of the forum, I think that you would have received quite a different response. I ride a stock btw. :P Also, I still don't get how people can say one is better than the other. Oh wait, yes I can, because they have no reasoning...

Urrr, nope, it's possible to run tubeless on any rim. :o You just take a 20" tube, cut it all around the outside, stretch it over the rim, so there's plenty of excess, Put the tyre + sealant in as normal, then inflate with a compressor. Then trim off the excess. Will solve your valve problem, will save you weight, will mean you never get pinch punctures again, and you can "wow" your mates by shoving screwdrivers in your tyre, and it sealing itself. :D Give me a shout on't msn if you want more info Rowan. :P Mike. Edit: If you don't wanna run tubeless, just get ride of the crappy viz rim and buy a mavic.

Who filmed that? Because I want his babies! Stunning camera work, brilliant flow, angles, etc - fantastic. Props to him. Some good riding there too seb, definately picked in the 2nd half of the video, some nice moves. :P Song choice was ok, it worked. Really liking the arty shots in the start, they worked really well. Nice one. (Y) (N)

...Which is fair enough. Why not speak to your parents, or whoever it is who owns the contract? Or if you don't want to, just buy an O2/Unlocked phone off ebay.

Or www.torrentspy.com - Bloody Brilliant. :o
-
Trying? I bloody succeeded. (N) And flatspot was a little bit of an understatement. :P Was an awesome day in in Brizzul, shame I couldn't make more of it, I'm sure I'll be down in Porthcawl and Bristol again soon though. Mike.

That's not how it works! :( If you think that 2:1 Gear ratio is the same as 11:10, then you're way off. 2:1 gives 2 wheel revolutions per crank stroke, yet 11:10 gives just 1.1 So think again. :(

Presuming they're the same spacing, (ie regular), then they'll fit a normal cassette body. Same as the king kogs, they don't have the larger tooth either, and they fit. :- Mike.

I've got a 14t chris king steel one for sale if you're interested? I presume they're the same as the profile ones, although I'm not 100% sure. Mike.

I really must say, that video was inspirational. The music obviously really added, and contributed greatly to the flow of the video, and was combined with the fluidity of most of the moves brilliantly. As said, some of the trials was a little sketchy, but that was purely the backhopping, the moves themselves were nearly all perfectly controlled, and executed nicely, as well as some brilliant street lines. The thing that perfected the video for me was the filming, it was so smooth, fluid, and complimented the riding extremely well. Hats off to the filmer(S). Definitely a brilliant video, nice one. :ermm:

That was my sodding banana. :ermm: Urrm, in my last video I had train tickets... Woo. :)

Probably way off, as you've not given much description to the bike, but; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Koxx-levelboss-1065-...1QQcmdZViewItem ? I doubt it very much, looking at the person's feedback etc, but you never know. Good luck getting it back anywhoo. :-

Yeah, mins is indeed a Mavic XC717 and an XM719 (517 and 519 to the oldies :-) bolted together with 16 3mm bolts. Drilling was very simple, just get it in the small area where the sidewalls are vertical n the inside. Whack the bolts in, with a bit of superglue on. It's 46.2mm wide, and of course grinds like a beast. Definately much better and quicker than welding/tacking it. :- I use a big ass DH (Mitchelin) inner tube, as well as loads of talcum powder, and lots of paper and gaffa tape over the "inner" sidewalls, aswell as a 1.5kg Swalbe Al Mighty tyre. The rim weighs about 920g, and the whole wheel near 4kg :"> When my Maxxis Minion, 2.35", 42a, SINGLE Ply tyre comes (850g), I'll be running tubeless, and so will save nearly a kilogram, so will be more sensible! Definately worth the small effort involved. Mike.

Urr, yeah mate. :shifty: I presume you've not seen his latest video? Luckily no major injuries though! "Aaah, there's a hole in my gloves! And my teeshirt And my jeans And my elbow And my finger And my bars" Nice one for trying it though Tim, bloody good effort! I've got a different angle on it too, which I'll capture on wednesday. Mike.
