Hey guys. Snapped my Ultimate lever blade yesterday in Porthcawl, and am really struggeling to find a replacement. I've rung up countless bike shops, and even spoken to Sram Corp. (who've taken over Avid), and they just told me to speak to more local shops, but I've had no use. I know it must be possible to get a replacement from somewhere, but I just don't know where else to try. http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/05-06SpeedDials.pdf If anyone knows any info that would help me get a spare, it would be much appreciated. Cheers, Mike.

Forgot to post here, but I'm coming too.

Yeah Stan, unfortunately that's exactly what you've got to do. Just do each day and the comp on a different order, but quantity as 4. Really need to get booking this, lets get ourselves sorted out guys!

I've got 7 tickets to V festival in Stafford, but I really dunno if I can be arsed to go! The music isn't really my taste...

Saw this vid last night, and I was telling Ali how much I enjoyed it! Found it all spot on, obviously great mix of moves, editing and music was done really well, length was just right too. Nice one Ali!

I'd nominate the 2.35", 42a, High Roller UST tyre. I'm running them F+R, and they're spot on, and only 850g too! They've got decent sidewalls, so are fairly pinch resistant, much more so than the single plys, but not quite as thick as the dual plys, which I think are overkill! Plus they have the added bonus of running tubeless very easily, which I think is perfect on the front, or on a narrower rim. Which I've had in since november, with absolutely no problems! They're a little bit more expensive than most (£28 each from CRC), but I think the low weight, relatively decent sidewalls, and tubeless compatability is well worth it! -
Thanks a lot Barbra, hope you enjoyed your pancakes! Kyle, I imagine most people use Microsoft Excel. If you don't have it, then you can get the equivalent from http://www.openoffice.org/ Obviously a big well done to everyone who came, and those who organised/helped. I had a great time, and felt it was a great start to the Season, shame I smashed my knee on the 4th section (I think waynio saw my crash), it's still very swolen now, but I'm sure it'll be alright in a few days! Quite pleased with how I did, and some very impressive results from everyone else especially! Very impressed with a lot of people's riding, and Bucky, you should be doing elite, beat everyone else by over 20 dabs! Really looking forward to the next round in April, but have the 1st national round in 4(?) weeks, then koxx days the week after! Mike.

Orbital Wheel - need I say more? Would certainly be interesting!
-
Good to see the results are up, but why am I in intermediate!! Didn't do red route for nothing. Mike.

Dave, do you mean the 1st of may? or infact the 30th of april? Or is the trial on a monday? [attachmentid=2772] I've quickly put all the uk comps (taken from your post and biketrialuk) into a spread sheet, so we can quickly see what comps are overlapping. Although I do understand you have to prioriatize danny's international comps as well, just maybe another look would be nice. I plan on doing the YMSA's and the Tykes, it'd be a shame to have to miss 2 YMSA's because they overlapped with 2 Tyketrial rounds. Mike. Uk_biketrial_calender.zip

Can you not just post the entry forms online to download, makes life MUCH easier... Mike.
-
Nothing wrong with Fox stuff, have a look around, there's always somewhere with it on sale. What's wrong with normal clothes though? Can't beat decent cotton tops and jeans!

I can't believe it's only like 4 weeks till we go, I've been so busy planning other things (my trip to Slovenia in may ), it's just crept up on me! Wayne, I've got the order form, done, and it's just 7 nights camping, at €12 a night, + the comp entry etc, but it simply says: "after having filled this form ,please kindly send to us by mail. This form registration must be send to us with paiment at - address..." So do we email the form, or send it to the address? Also, how do we pay? Cheque? Do you know who to make it payable to if it's only cheque, or is there some sort of online thing we can do? Can wait for Jack Meek to get back so we can start planning the ferry and stuff. I think we left it to like 4 days in advance last year. Also, don't be surprised if you get pulled over at the toll booths on the French motorways, they're often policed, and always love pulling foreigners! When they stopped us last year they immediately said, "Are you on any drugs, narcotics?" And searched the whole car, was a complete palava when they found the lump of tar in Goddards pocket! Can't wait. Mike.

Back on topic, from the looks of the website, I'd still prefer to have my anodising done by Steve Barry, the bloke who did my parts a while ago. He's "chameleon" on the southerndownhill forum. Give him a shout if you want stuff done. Fantastic bloke.

Moron. I'm not exactly going to grind parts of the chain that are in use - as someone said earlier in the thread, grind the heads off the pins, remove the outer plate, and the one on the other side (with the pins still), then use the split link to join the two exposed ends. And surprise surprise, it snapped nowhere near the split link. I'm not that shocked it did snap, it was rusty to hell anyway. Said chain: (Taken with my macro bitty) [attachmentid=2742]

Really sweet line, loving the sly switch footed drop off!
-
When I got my KHE, I just shortened it down with an angle grinder, then used the split link to join it. Managed to snap it today though, didn't even get 4 months out of it! Warranty?

No need to mess about trying to patch your hose, (providing it's at one end of the hose, such as lever or cylinders). Just unscrew it, remove the olive, then trim your hose down to just below where the slit was. Slide the "screwey in bit" on your hose, then slide the olive on after that, then just screw the bit in, and tighten it up. Good to go.

Stick them in a hot oven for 5 minutes, then use a 4mm allen key to poke them out.
