  1. Aright guys. Going down Bristol tomorrow to drop some wheels and a lens off - may aswell make a ride out of it! Anyone up for it? Mike.
  2. Halfords should be able to order you in one from Fisher. (If they're a carried spare) When I needed a new bar clamp for my Ultimate lever, which isn't a spare part they stock, I phoned up Sram USA, (who own avid), and they sent two of them straight to fisher, who sent them to me free of charge.
  3. Manual focus isn't a problem with the Peleng. I don't think I ever actually needed to 'focus' it. Just set it between 1m and infinity and you're ready to go. Not sure what you based that on. The IQ of the Peleng (and the Zenitar too) was excellent, both sharp as nails. A bit of CA in the corners, but nothing you wouldn't get from any other fisheye, and I'd certainly say the Peleng was sharper than the 10-17! Ian, if you're gonna want a "proper" fisheye on a crop cam, you've got a few but not that many options: Sigma 8mm f/3.5 & f/4 lenses. Both great, but you'd need to crop out the edges. Peleng 8mm f/3.5. Again great, less cropping to do than on the sigma 8mm (slightly larger imaging circle). Not autofocus, but as I mentioned, this really isn't a problem on such a lens! Tokina 10-17mm f/3.5-4.5. Great IQ, very flexible. Nikon 10.5mm f/2.8. Again, great IQ. Really if you're on a budget get the Peleng, if you want to be flexible, get the Tokina, if you want fixed but better IQ, get the Nikon.
  4. No shit sherlock. Hence why he said "it's you and the camera".
  5. I'm sure it'd be bloody difficult to put digital photography to good work without computers and memory cards!

Haha yeah, That was after we decanted it out of a nice glass bottle before we left Anyone remember the riots from '05? I recall Burrows getting hit in the head with a beer bottle! Man I'm looking forward to this.
  12. Actually there's a custom function on most Canon cameras which allows it to be done automatically in camera.
  13. The are the "rejects", yes fred. :wink2: Yeah, was a cracking day.
  14. It would be nice, but you'd be landing in water. County Hall, in Worcs. Good vid Tris, some interesting cuts though, you sure you made every line in that vid?
  15. Keep your eyes peeled in a certain Uk biking magazine...

  17. Aright guys. Dj Pics! Enjoy.
  18. Doesn't look like it's gonna be in there Bren! Ah well.
  19. Yeah, there will be. Brendan, I pmed it to you days ago, didn't you get it? Mike.
  20. Nice pics dan, some great angles and spot on exposures. Bit of constructive criticism if I may? They look here like they need a good boost in contrast and saturation, just look a bit flat. It might be worth you checking them out on another monitor, see if yours is making look more vibrant than they actually are! I'd also try and fill more of the frame with the rider, there's a lot of dead space in some of them, you could really add impact by cropping, getting in closer (maybe I got a little too close sometimes ) or using a longer lens. And finally, stop stealing my flash!
