  5. I personally joined the gym thinking i was going to work some areas which i know would help biking.. now.. its kinda taken over riding..in the last 4 weeks ive ridden probably twice? max.. for 20 -30 mins.. i cant even remember the last time i rode. But ive been to the gym probably.. 12+ times. Its seriously addictive and ive gone past the point of caring about it helping my riding i just want to beat the weights which will never happen but its fun trying.
  6. how does that work then andrew? Example: One guy never uses his triceps or chest for any form "hard exercise" hes just your average guy that had a 9 - 5 office job. Are you saying someone who has never touched weights/bench press etc in his life could lift 70+kg in a month his example body weight? i would like to see that... really i would

    Saw2

Oh yea but it also gives them the excuse not to bother making a 3rd too.. because it would be so "typical" of hollywood to do another they might just leave it. But to be honest.. id watch the 3rd as well.. just to see the ways in which someone can be put in to a stupid situation to.. for example gouge their own eye out to get a key. CRAZY!

    Saw2

The endings are what make saw 1 and 2 what they are.. the ending in the first saw was pretty crazy and caught me totally by suprise.. but saw 2.. holy f**k.. i never ever ever saw that coming
  9. Whatever just saying its a lot for your age, size etc. I know people who have been training a couple of years and are only at 80kg  didnt i say that?

  11. Not when its a home machine that runs on more pulleys and levers than you can shake your little monkey willy at
  12. Yea usually when you use machine weights its a 2:1 ratio so its likely he put it on to say 75.. but it is really 75/2 which is under 40..more realistic. Plus you dont have to concentrate one bit on technique, its like benching on the smith machine and then benching normally. Its piss easy on smith
  13. Yea pretty much as said above, the worst you can get nowadays with home computers is some lile 13 year old messing around trying to put sub 7 on your computer... oh the days of infecting myself with that...
  14. its true though, its a well known fact that doing 3 reps for 10 sets will make you stronger than doing 10 reps for 3 sets. The first being for muscle building, the 2nd for "toning" which by the way doesnt even exist. Everyone is "toned" its just covered by fat, doing 3 sets of 10 reps is better for technique and endurance. At the minute ive started on a pyramid routine: 10 reps at a low weight, 8 reps at a slighty harder weight then 6 on my hardest i can do for the 6 reps ( meaning last one is touch and go ) then go back. 10, 8 , 6, 8 , 10 That f**ks you a lot more than doing 3 sets of 10 reps. Also quick post.. today i touched the incline bench press for the first time in my life... and already i can do a higher and more reps weight than i can on normal bench. Even though i have been told incline is harder  . I put it down to doing trials... giving random strong muscles. Another example of stupid strength down to this.. i did 135kg for 5 reps on leg extension/leg curl machine... :S Oh yea also.. was the 75kg done on a machine or bar?
  15. im 19 and bang on 62kg as of today. If he was maybe 6'6 he might be able to do a heavier weight.. but like i said earlier.. people really need to get in the gym and try something over 50kg to feel how heavy it truley is
  16. ughhh dont start this "its a forum get a life" shit... yes its a forum but its the f**kin principle behind this kind of thing. Ali you said yourself ITS A FORUM.. a damn forum and it was posted in CHIT CHAT!..i dont understand this place sometimes.. the admins and mods are here to keep the forum clean of shit that is in the guidelines.. but yet "they" seem to get their personal emotions mixed up in this whole thing.. just like my signature topic.
  17. Ahem. I now extract from an article i read just last week "12 Steps to a Bigger Bench 1 ? Train the Triceps Years ago, if you had asked Larry Pacifico how to get a big bench, he'd have told you to train the triceps. This same advice applies today. This doesn't mean doing set after set of pushdowns, kickbacks, and other so-called "shaping" exercises. Training your triceps for a big bench has to involve heavy extensions and close-grip pressing movements such as close-grip flat and incline bench presses, close-grip board presses, and JM presses. Various barbell and dumbbell extensions should also be staples of your training program. Don't let anyone try to tell you the bench press is about pec strength. These people don't know the correct way to bench and are setting you up for a short pressing career with sub-par weights. I just read an article in one of the major muscle magazines by one of these authors on how to increase your bench press. The advice given was to train your pecs with crossovers and flies and your bench will go up! This, along with many other points, made me wonder how this article ever got published or better yet, how much the author himself could bench. I believe articles should go under a peer review board before they get printed. I'd like many of my peers to review these authors in the gym or better yet on the bench to see how much they really know. Bottom line: Train the triceps!" 18. I touched the bench press for the first time in my life a month ago, started on 30.. worked my way up to 47 for 8 reps. I did 50 on the first day for 2 reps so i dont know whats going on. Benching is so much harder than you think its going to be. Its all triceps though, which i have f**k all of. My friend who i go to the gym with does 125. Saw a guy the other night do 205 :( he is a rugby player though but still.. thats f**king crazy, the whole gym went silent. He tried 210 but couldnt do it, his 1st phase let him down.
  19. i know for a fact that some people here cant gap anywhere close to what they have said. Personally i only just reach over 6ft my furthest being 6ft 4" between two pallets. Its one of my biggest weaknesses and i dont really see it improving but meh.
  20. Jesus christ dave marshall must have a -ve BF%... who is the rider on the silver t rex from the southampton pics gapping over the black rail to grass bank. Also.. for some reason i like the cornish hole pic in the photo album looks well good.

  22. This is on the university network, you can go to view workgroup computers and see everyone connected in your halls ( not whole uni ). Ive enabled the guest account because it was disabled gonna get someone to check it for me now. Thanks for the help so far
  23. There has been 0% proof that doing weights when you are younger stunts your growth.
  24. Ok before i reformatted my laptop to share files on my external HD with other people on my local area network all i had to do was right click and then go to sharing and turn on the file sharing bit. Then all my mates had to do was go to run and type \\mycomputername Now since ive formatted my laptop its not letting them view the files at all. Ive gone throught he exact same procedure as last time but nothing. If i type in \\mycomputername i can see all the files and folders.. but they cant.. any ideas?
