to be honest on subject of american football.. like i said.. powerbase.. loughborough uni.. rugby players.. they can all lift a shit load. Infact in school you can even see the difference between people who play rugby and people who dont. You just get naturally built from contact sports increased testosterone etc.. hence the whole meat head / window licking image most rugby players get

to be fair ive known people go to the gym and struggle with doin 10 reps of just the bar (20kg) and no it wasnt me lol i started on 40 then 50 then 60 then 70 and since then done dumbells only since im so imbalanced (broke an arm real bad). I wudnt worry .. most people start at around 40kg to be fair.. and even less it means f**k all.. its the reason your at the gym ( for most people ).. although really depends on your goals.. could be a runner for or some shit. My chest is easily my worst body part strength wise. It is gettin a lot better.. but it just lacks so much.

to be fair.. when ive been on group rides there never seems to be the like.. strict/unfun-ness that comes across in videos.. even if its a video and you were there. People seem to like cutting out the bullshit nowerdays and just filling vids with move after move.

Wholey Volume bat man... 3x25 on shrugs.. sort your set rep range out. You are lifting f**k all cos you have ginormous volumes there. Try 4x8 shrugs with something heavy.. you need some strength and food not uber toned weedyness. Maybe drop everything down to 4x6 infact and see how that goes for a few weeks best ever way to do oat meal.. take a cup.. half fill with oat meal.. pour in to bowl.. take some raisons and sultanas.. throw a handfull in.. mix with hand. Take cup fill full with milk tip in.. give it a stir. Microwave full power 2 mins 30 seconds.. yank it out once done stir again and sprinkle some sugar on for sweetness. Jobs a good un.. its actually addictive..

Notice the temperature on far left.. end of last glacial age... then look right and see how infact.. we had one big f**k off drop in temperature and look how much the earth has to heat up to reach the halocene and medieval stages. If you can do your own body weight pull ups you just hold a dumbell between your ankles and do weighted ones surely... its what i always did anyways.. worked fine. You can always drop the weight once u start to struggle to get a few more banged out

Does your gym not have a pull up bar or anything? ive never touched lat pulldown since i got no problem with chins.. i rarely bother with wide grip though i never feel it working as good as a chin does. Doubt i could do 20 in a row though.. i always go down slow and fast up works a lot better than doing these really fast like f**k all movement things i see some people doing.

definitely, its so welcoming to go to back squats after you have been doing front squats it makes back squats feel so easy. Talkin of big squats.. i have seen around 200kg.. i dont know exact weight but i know it was 200kg or more done by people in powerbase. Altho.. they are powerlifters so there we go.. but!.. f**k me.. its such an eye opener to go to a good gym to be honest makes you realise how pathetic your average human is incomparison to a steroided monster.

oooo i just got back in to doing squats! mine have gone to shit lol 5x6 on 80kg and i couldnt walk for 2 days. I used to do 110 for 6x4 last year... i f**kin love them.. and its hilarious seeing how badly peoples form are. I dont understand how people cant squat low.. is it just lazyness? ive never understood the whole go to parallel shit.. i go down past parallel and always have.. thats the hardest bit of the whole squat not the last 5 inches on the way up which the fookin noobz at my gym do. oh also.. anyone find front squats the most disgusting exercise ever?

Simple rules.. dont learn shit you dont need. This applies mostly to university however but i guesse gcse's will be just the same. Simple steps to good grade: 1. Source as many past exam papers as you can 2. Look at the papers and notice the trends. Meaning.. question 1 is usually on this part of the subject.. question 2 usually asks a part from this section of maths.. etc. When you are uni its even more so like that.. the exam questions are based on topics you learn.. so you know what topic areas to look at what to not really bother with. 3. Learn those areas you have found that it asks... theres so many similarities in exams.. like you may notice every other year the same type of question comes up.. etc.. its all about looking for the trends and studying for those. 4. If you cant straight out do the exam question, get your text book and look at the area it is asking about and read it through once, write out your own summarised version of what you just read and from now on only look at the summary you made.. once again your cutting out the bollocks that academics seem to keep puting in. You want to extract raw facts from the jumble of words/calculations in text books. In maths for example you want to be learning the method.. so write a step by step guide on the method to get the answer.. this is then what you look at when your stuck.. you just follow the simple procedure u laid out and it all becomes so much easier since you can apply it to any question. For stuff like english and history.. a whole page of text can be broken down in to smalller bullet points which you learn u then just pad between them during the exam to fill it out (incidently most marking schemes are just a list of bullet points and they look for these answers within your mass of text e.g. 8 mark question = 8 points or 4 points + 4 for explination of each.. so making your own bullet pointed notes means your going to match the examiners answers 9 times outta 10) Worked for me so far anyways... theres no need for bollocks mind maps and all this shite.. in my experience they dont work. Breaking things down in to smaller sections and bulletpointed lists however does. Step by step guides to do calculations turn you in to a robot and maths becomes a pile of piss.

hmm well depends of course on what food but veg n stuff = 5 days pretty much before stuff starts going off... and oats etc.. like 2 weeks.. but yea.. i thought all that food would be uber boring but its not at all. Its actually amazing how good it tastes .. pretty much 5 minute job as well to cook. All the veg is fresh its just a chop and rinse under some water then bosh on the plate, whilst thats being done the steak in on the george forman being grilled .. which cooks them stupidly fast so by time veg is ready that is too. Wack everyone on the plate and sorted.. fetta cheese tastes good with it all. Urgh i want food now. Tell you what though.. eating "healthier" or "cleaner" whatever you want to call it.. makes you realise how bollocks some of the food people put in to themselves really is. Like for that whole list (some stuff missing) you only need like 4 aisles of the supermarket.. out of say 30.. and atleast you know more or less what you are putting in to you (apart from the pesticides ofcourse). Pizzas etc just look so rank to me now full on grease urgh no need

Right thought i would update my career... 2 years ago i took lifting seriously.. well i say seriously i had a program i had the protein meals i just ate a lot to put on size. I then got a gf and lived off chinese food for 8 months and didnt go to the gym in that time once. I was left a flabby mess.. i wasnt fat i was just ... .. no tone at all. Started the gym again in january.. been going 10 weeks now, no program as such but worked everything i needed to. Results? not really existant.. i had got stronger but my body looked epic shit. 3 weeks ago now i decided to go all out... £120 on food shopping consisted of: lean sirloin steaks chicken fillets/breasts/legs tomatoes spinach lettuce peppers cucumber raisons/sultanas oats mixed seeds (all the good ones) a ton of milk and water oranges apples pineapple slices cottage cheese goats cheese fetta cheese etc... there was pretty much everything i needed. So i start eating away.. yom yom yom i could eat a staggering amount as often as i wanted and never feel bloated... bonus. I was going to the gym and had so much energy to lift it was unreal.. programs didnt tire me as bad as before i was hardly ever out of breath and my stregth went through the roof. Well.. all sounds great? well no.. i now resemble what i would call an african long distance runner... my strength to weight ratio is amazing.. but i look like nothing its so f**kING annoying. Im at a complete loss.. where is the happy medium between hypertrophy and strength? i seem to be all one or nothing. More food?
