heres a bit of magura science for you: Noise does not = power just because back in the day everyone used tar / still does and they get a nice loud squeak it seems that everyone beleive that that is the sound you want when your brake is set up correctly/working great. Well it isnt. Set up your pads correctly like.. try everything the old 2p trick, taking your tyre off your rim so you can align the pads easier. Just anything, the swooshing noise usually happens when your pads are angled ( like mine were doing last night )

id say some epoxy would to it under the pawls after all its only to keep them open or you could cut some small bits of nail to same size as springs and put them in same position as springs then glue the whole lot just to make sure.
