    Computer Help

i could never get the ir working on my laptop, until i went in to the bios settings ( the bit where you like press f2 on startup) and found that the port was disabled so i just had to re-enable and once restarted windows recognised it and installed.

    Water Bleed

if your going to be using that tape make sure none of it overhangs over the ends of the threads. As soon as you tighten it up the tape will cut and end up in the system. Not as big a problem as in compressed air systems but nevertheless will probably f**k a lot up considering magura tube has a really thin inner diameter.
  7. yea but to be honest im thinking this should be something a lot more advanced than learning basics. I mean they are needed but moves are so much more involved as you progress than what you learnt to back hop.
  8. Definitely. It would be good to get different riders view points of the same move too. I remember reading posts ages ago about front touching when i was learning it. Someone wrote something along the lines of " your best bet is to read every scrap of information people have about the move, because it will probably be only a few words they mention that will make it go click in your head and you'll know what you've been doing wrong." A prime example is the wheel swap topic with the leaving back brake off etc which some people had never heard of, including me until i rode up north.
  9. Tricks and stunts is also becoming very outdated, yes a great video but there are so many new techniques being used now.
  10. when the back brake is off you get flex from the forks which added along with tyre bounce helps loads in getting some extra height. Also helps with getting you up on to the object as it gives a little forward momentum ive found. Another great thing.. only one brake on, less arm pump in a comp.
  11. yea she clearly didnt get a big enough pay cheque from the original.... such a traitor, a fit one at that
  12. got mine with my king hub even though i do see people wearing them as fashion, atleast we know where the livestrong ones have come from unlike 90% of the people i know with them.
  13. original was way better even though it was subtitled
  14. seems totally pointless to me and wouldnt recommend it at all to be honest. Especially if you ride late at night, the moisture in the air will make it more slippy than sticky (especially on the isle of wight with the sea mist).
  15. was watching thomas the tank engine yesterday on cbeebies and percy kept blowing his whistle real loud and scaring people.. and he got in trouble but kept doing it.. anyway it was supposed to go along the lines of the boy who cried wolf? people know it yes? its where the kid keeps saying theres a wolf killing the sheep.. then when there actually is one no one believes him and they all die. Well anyway in this one percy had lied about 4 times for blowing is whistle too loud and then there was snow on the track and he blew and thomas heard and beleived him.... resulting in a happy ending. I was more angry thomas didnt de rail than anything else. But still...
  16. bah bah black sheep has been removed from nursery rhyme books..... thats political correctness for some but also racist for removing it in my eyes not really a win win situation is it
  17. both brakes off would only work on natural if: you had your engagement sorted so you dont roll back you have your balance all ready so no correctional hops you love being a sketchy b*****d i love the whole front brake only, unless on a slope and the front is hooked over (my forks seem to be flexing a lot more than they used to) then i just keep both on till im all balanced then last second switch to front brake only. Eitherway.. it works
  18. its actually becoming more and more unconceivable in to how much more retarded some new members can get. :)
  19. ive and am still using braided.. simply due to kicking the cross over so much that it inevitably splits so bought a full set of magura braided hose. After about 8 months the rear cross over started leaking ( god knows why just did ) and put on a spare hose which wasnt the same it was unex braided hose. I like the magura, but the unex is pretty gay. The fittings are absalutely huge so i kick them anyway and are a bitch to tighten up, but atleast they arent cast out of cheese like the magura braided fittings (ive had one snap as ive tightened it leaving the thread inside the cyclinder). Its fully covered in plastic all along unlike the magura braided where you get the stuff you heat up and it shrinks where you want. But since its covered in the plastic stuff its not as manouverable as the magura braided. The inner diameter is pretty small but not much difference, i dont really notice anything at the lever probably due to running it so long. So if you can understand what ive put.. theres nothing wrong with braided hosing at all infact i would only ever have braided on a cross over ( split a normal one atleast 4 times before ) due to rides being fecked up and as said if comp is your game then deffo worth it. The magura braided was best for me but to be honest anything would do.. if i ever need any more ill go for hope as its the closest thing to the magura braided which i cant seem to find being sold anywhere now ;) maybe on crc somewhere... anyway deffo go for it forget all this brake spongy whatever crap it means nothing in reality if you use water. And overall... the PIMP FACTOR .... looks over function any day of the god damn week
  20. yea you can.. take a look at the pics and vids section of pete wrights new rim
  21. fatmike: yea seen those some guy at uni has one.. unluckily he now has one forearm stupidly larger than the other cos he sits doing it at his computer. The highest he got was just over 13000. I had a go for a few days and peaked at 9800 and something. They are really cool though and give you major aching muscles. JT!: Deffo need to drink more fluids.. i hardly ever drink whilst im riding unless we stop off for some food too. No where to keep bottle etc unless i bring a bag. My cure for the calluses on hands is a old mach 3 turbo blade cant feel a thing, the closest shave ever
  22. well since the montys are so cheap ill give them a go for a while, if not ill try something else like the velo's thanks for the help people
  23. Exactly mine travel quite a way before the lock, not parallel to the bars but getting close when i put the power in. Ill get some montys, i had a look on the search at the "thin grips" thread and it seemed it was down to the montys or ruffians anyway.
  24. Thats me.. huge palm tiny fingers, i cant ride my friends bikes when they have their lever biting after a couple mm of travel it just aches to reach out so far all the time. When i started natrual id get arm pump constantly, now i dont notice it as much its the cramp that hits me first. After having a quick look my grips are super thick, i forget the name but they have a basic rubber grip, which you then slide foam on to. Making them huge. You think i should go for the ruffians or montys? i ride without gloves as i used to get the cramp over a year ago when i rode with them (prolly due to the added thickness).
