Squats are epic. However their place within your routine is simplisticly based on...... the routine. Split body work outs .. squats will be done once a week imo. However like i said its based on the programme you are doing. For instance most of the stuff i have seen been posted by members in this thread contain a "weekly workout". Who says it should last a week? im currently doing a split body programme which last for 10 days before being repeated. In such a programme squats come up on two leg days as fronts and back squats. Works really good, supplement them with deadlift and your quads/hamstrings are f**ked. Then theres the full body work out. For me this type of workout has given me the best gains, hypertrophy wise. Split programmes have given me good strength but nothing to show aesthetically. The full body works out i have done have consisted of a simple weekly routine with your whole body being hit every day as the name suggests, all major muscle groups (e.g. incline bench, wide grip pull ups, shoulder press, sumo deadlift, front squats, bicep curls, french press). They have consisted of 4 compound movements with 2 isolations per workout with different exercises filling these on different days.. e.g. first day u wud do decline bench, next day flat bench etc.. same muscle areas but different exercises. The compounds have come from bench/deadlifts/pulls ups/dips/squats etc, with isolations of smaller groups such as biceps/triceps etc. In a work out such as this squats once again have been done twice, front and backs however over a much smaller time scale of a week instead of the 10 days as mentioned. On the single off day of no squats the legs are moved to isolation such as calves/hamstrings. So they do still get a work out. So now my point..i see no problem with people doing squats regular.. or infact not quite so regular..however they should be done. Even if you do them once a week you should keep on training your legs through isolation of hamstrings/quads/calves. Also whilst on the topic front squats are the most disgusting exercise ever.. and for those people who want to be adventurous. I did some german volume full body workout last year (the best programme i have ever tried) and that had 3reps x 10sets of squats. EPIC BRUTAL... but work amazing for pushing through the plateau that you inevitably hit after a while of trianing. I remember doing them on 110kg and not being able to walk to the next exercise (which happened to be straight leg deadlift... zomg... for 6reps x 4 sets hurt so bad after squats). My legs got huge from that and with a 30 rep volume on such a heavy weight (for someone my size) it worked wonders... just thought i would add that since people have mentioned volume. You dont need to do 15 reps and 2 sets.. you can switch it round to do low reps but big sets.. and infact for me they worked a lot better i felt fresh everytime i went to lift the weight and you sort of hit a zone where you want more and more.. soon as you stop for 10 mins your epic f**ked though lol

dont trust her then.. simple as that. Trust is something that is earnt or grows over time. If you feel like you dont trust her now, its not the end of the world.. if she is genuine then nothing will go wrong in the forseable future.. therefore gaining your trust. However if she f**ks around etc say tomorrow.. you will know you were right not to trust.. -

easy... decide on something you like doing look in the ucas directory for uni's that do your course find which ones have grades you can achieve order them by location you would like to live in order them by the uni you would consider going to order them by the reputation of the uni for that course apply to the ones you like/would like to get in to through ucas by filling out a pile of forms wait for offers / interviews / complete your course accept / reject offers sort out accomodation for uni and when u start go to uni

blimey didnt expect people to be replying to what i put, but thanks. Im not fussed to be fair at all.. everyone close to me knows about it lol cos i got no problem being like "im broke i cant keep it up everytime i go to shag my new gf".. cos its not like its been like this my whole life. Its first time its happened, didnt have it happen with my exs, so its kinda like ok this is annoying but nowt i can do about.. its fine for everything else its just soon as sex is on the cards it dies. After the first time it happened i was in a bit of shock to be fair, which then resulted in the 2nd time not working either because i was thinking about it. My gf was cryin the one morning like thinking she wasnt good enough for me, after a bit of a talk i was like seriously this isnt cos your not good enough its cos i think your too good and its putting huge pressure on something i would never ever normally worry about. So yea.. just gotta let time pass and see what happens she understands and isnt fussed when it happens it happens.. good job im good at the other stuff -

girls love the attention its a fact.They have a history but you gotta remember they arent together now, for a reason. Just be yourself and see what happens if she leaves you for him so what? i know the whole theres other fish in the sea thing is bollocks when you are on your own however the thrill of the chase when u know uve found a girl u potentialy could get with is pretty awesome. So why worrry.. theres plenty more years of life left just be yourself its why she showed interest in you in the first place so dont change who you are just to try and "keep" her from going back to him. Their loss at end of the day is how i look at it just make sure you dont turn in to one of those guys that women look back on as being "that dick head" who went all sour and bitter through jealousy. -

i've been through something similar. The girls ex is a bit of a stalker weirdo now however.. she seems to just lap it up saying she doesnt care about him yet still keeps the contact. As a guy its hard for me to understand that she still wants to be his friend even after he treated her like shit when they were together and also how he gets in rnadom moods with her now and has a go at her about being with me etc.. i ve accused her before of still wanting him but have been assured its not like that. meh.. who knows.. u just have to try and trust them and hope nothing comes of it. -
I mean i can jog on spot for forever really, and i spose if i do loads of biking over summer ill get my fitness back i reckon ill be tip top in no time to be fair

Right.. basically what i want to know from people that have run long distances is... Say i were to run the london marathon vs a friend. She is training for the 2009 london one..whilst im not going to bother. 26 miles might seem far but lets face it IF you pace yourself i reckon its do able. Now the problems i face... I dont like running because im shit at running.. 200m sprint.. im fine with that but long distances are a no go.. so basically without "Running Training" what can i do to help myself here? This mainly stemmed from a .. i reckon i can do the marathon and her saying no u will die without any training.. then me pointing out about the 91 year old bloke that ran it.. so if he can im sure a 22 year old with 0 training can?

my ankles, rolled them many times doing trials however at a point i was progressing really fast i did a gap across from one sea wall to another over a flight of steps. I landed the gap and slipped backwards i had to jump down the gap to the flight of steps. My right foot landed half on a step half off, rolled under me so badly i have a cut where the side of my ankle was touching the ground. I couldnt walk for a week, i couldnt ride for a month and now im going to have to have both my ankles looked at since they are so f**ked. Since that time i have rolled it loads of times.. jumpin off rocks etc when riding natural. To the point i dont do anything big anymore infact i have stopped trials , i want to ride but i cant do anything incase i roll my ankles again. Its a disgusting pain and mine arent healing at alll.. it runs through my mind whenever i do anything and stopped my progression dead in its tracks.

whats broke on your bike diddlers? i have a 2000 word essay to do .. due in end of month.. not even slightly fussed yet lol.. as well as once my dissertation is finished and handed in in like a week i then have to write a journal paper (8 pages) on my report to be published.. YAWN! then prepare for the presentation and my 2 100% exams.. fun times!

i found for my shoulders.. pull ups (randomly worked for me), deadlift, standing military press with db's.. do like 15 reps x 2 sets with 17.5kg really worked wonders for me .. and just in general.. every exercise seemed to hit them.

see i had a pain in my nut for like 4 days and literally felt like a twisted ball.. i cudnt walk.. it hurt to touch.. didnt swell though.. then woke up 5th day and no pain. Either my right nut is now dead and painless or.. f**k knows? i can still shoot a big load on my missus so im sure everythings A ok
