As everyone has said, industrial estates are a good bet but since you've tried looking maybe take the yellow pages out and have a gander? if not theres always call 118 500 and ask for rubber suppliers in your area.

Lol i wish.. i went to have it x rayed the day after ( dont ever tell them that though, if you do go for an x ray you have to say you did it that day else they wont bother ) and it didnt show up any fractures. But Si ( mr physio ) said it looks like a total rupture of the ligaments hence the bruising everywhere. Which pretty much means its f**ked, currently going through some rehab with both ankles, using a wobble board.. great fun............................................... not

i bought a kit from marks and spencers. Lets just say... it was bollox. The slurry at the bottom tasted better. But was fun trying it out .. hmm i might buy another. All i can say is good luck its really hit or miss whether its gonna taste good. Some guy that worked for my dad was obsessed with the kits and his tasted damn nice back in the day.

Talking of bars going in to you, i was riding some natural on sea defence rocks. Hopping about and the front wheel went in to a hole i followed the bike down and my body slid down in. I suddenly felt the biggest pain in my chest, the handlebars were holding me up out the hole right in my rib cage. I got out slowly thinking they had gone inside but luckily they hadnt. So carried on riding with just a bruise and badly winded. Turns out a few days later and a x ray showed id broken a rib. Its a killer to sleep with :shifty: feel sorry for anyone else thats been through it. oh and i finally found a pic on my phone of my shin after it got hit twice in the same place by my shindig pedals. I think this was taken about a week after the accident, i'd just cut the dressing off it to see how it was looking. The white in the deep cut is dead skin which can be folded back.. .yummy

From the album: spacemunkee
shin got killed by pedal twice on a natural ride. the white bit in the cut is the skin that it cut away. pic was taken over a week after once it had started to stop bleeding -
Im with everyone that mentioned the word pallets in the thread. Using them is the only way it can be judged as fair competition as they are a standard size (blue ones) most the time and setting them up will be easy. id be up for filming some stuff and uploading when i get back home on friday if anyone wants a challenge, would be a great way to feed of other riders and progress in weak areas.

look on sheldons site in the above link. Basically what you do is if there is a up bit, you tighten the spokes directly below it on BOTH sides. If it is directly over a spoke you tighten that one and then the two either side on the other side of it. Hard to explain but sheldon can describe it a lot better

Blah i so wish we took a camera out riding.. i attract bad falls when on the sunny isle of wight. Here is one of my ankle a week after a gap over some stairs i couldnt get out of bed to take any pics sooner. Luckily the bruising has started to go away and swelling had gone down by then. The hole/cut is where it rolled so much it touched the ground and cut on some stone or something. Here is what its like a year on for comparison: Also mr tarty might have a pic somwhere of my cut shin.. got hit 3 times in the same place by my pedal. THAT WAS FUN

Can someone help me out here.. The way i see it there are only two things that can come out of any drug. Good times and bad times.. Now.. in everyday life we have good times and bad times... We can drink LEGALY alcohol to enhance the good times and take away the bad times... Whats the point in taking illegal stuff? Like i dont see where getting stoned and being all f**ked out your face just laying in a room (if you were to take it that far) comes in the two senses of good and bad. I dont understand the feeling it gives you. Ive been told it relaxes you and makes things seem better.. but why dont you just take alcohol? which is legal. Is it because of the hangover draw backs and feeling sick? because everyone seems to talk about drug come downs and going all white etc...I know alcohol is a drug before some tard starts going on about it. Also finally.. I have heard that most avid dope smokers dont drink alcohol and infact see people under the influence as being more of a danger than weed smokers. Due to the violence etc.. Do any of you actually beleive this to be true?

In the news it says about the sexual collaboration between steve and tartybikes to end the hunt for good grind pads. Although its gonna be hard pushed to beat plazmatics which ive been using recently.... they really are underated im in love. No doubt there have been a shed load of pads which dont seem to have come out of prototype stage? The whole pad making game is a lot more trouble than most people take in to account when they start out. But it seems like hes taking some leaps in the right direction with the moulded pads. I like the point he picked up on about the pads rocking under braking, which i found happened a lot with fast wearing pads such as zoo's which just ended up rounding off for me.

You mean the ones that are like a clear yellow? apple thats been cut and left for a day colour? God says dont use them on a grind. :)

fashion over functionality always causes problems... I say get it powder coated. Although how did the spray paint chip? i didnt know things hit the actual rim, unless the paint blistered.. which means the rim wasnt clean/dry

Heres some options: if you really want to you can pick a uni close to home, i recommend atleast living in halls however for the first year. This will atleast give you a ground base of people you know to go out with during your other years. If you cant even stretch this far.. live in a rented house with a few other people they dont have to be from your course or anything but you really do need to get away from your 'home school friends' type people and learn about different types of lifestyles etc that other people have. you do get to know people on your course... but usually they are people you have met in your halls or have met in a previous foundation year. Civil engineering is full of group based coursework..so got to know quite a few pople like that but at the start everyone is a little warey and your unlikley to like go out drinking and stuff.. i can see it happening in my next years though. i dont know how to explain it really.. you have different groups of friends for everything you do... which may be hard if your living form home. I didnt want to live at home at all ( hard anyway living on the isle fo wight, but there are uni's like portsmouth that are only about a hour journey away) simply because of dealing with your parents shit. You dont really realise unless you make the big step and go off to a uni somewhere well out of distance that only a phone call is all they have to get at you. The amount of worrying and living in their pockets that you dont have to deal with lets you live your own life and become dependent on your self. My parents pay for pretty much everything.. ( read as yes everything ) the only way im gonna get some self dependence is to do what i want.. and the only way i saw it was to move 170 miles away. Which has worked a charm! Anyway enough of my bullshit heres a quick sum up: Ideal world live far far far away form parents with them paying for everything. Forget about the debt the experience is far more important. beleive it or not you can still get good grades without being under the watchful eye of your mommy and daddy. If i was you id live in halls definitely... i liked it so much im living in again next year (2nd time). I just dont really see people growing up if they live with their parents... but thats in my eyes only i guesse edit: oh yea forgot .. there will always be the hardcore uni people that think your not dependent till you've worked yourself out of debt... blah blah... but... im gonna be working for the next 40 years of my life... why do it now? for the experience? uhhhhhh right your parents have offered to give you an education.. a better life than what they had for a reason.

i thought saw was a really really really well thought out film. Literally i would say that its in my top 5 films just because of the twists in it. Least to say the way people are trapped are f**king genious. Ill definitely be paying money this time to go see the 2nd instead of downloading.

(Y) We have been through this....... so.. so.. so many times.. There is nothing wrong with copying a frame, making it stronger, then selling it cheaper. This just reminds me of that advert where the guy could buy a normal light bulb or a new one that lasts longer for the same price... and the guy still buys the shit one.
