i just found my koxx shoes to be uncomfortable, lacking grip on the peddles etc did not like them at all.. that was when i got soooo many shinny's i now use ribo's ten times better to ride in and dead comfy. i suppose you will get use to the rubbing thing.. i can't say i had that problem with mine.... but yeah they are the worst trials shoes i've ever used
