I was only planning on the one lesson, as my rope work is not issue what so ever at all (sail all the time and need to tie/use rope it that all the time). Its the set up, once ive got the set up dialed ill just go in on my own, and ty Tomm posts are really helping. I would of payed about £120 to get payed for shite all apperantly lol. And just another question, if I really want to improve will I need to work out, as I plan on doing anyway but was just wondering if focusing on forearm and finger strength does actually help? May be obvious but hay I may aswell ask. Thank you all Willy

Dont have friends in it. That is one problem and im going to just book a lesson for the weekend if my parents are ok with it. And cheers the info on bouldering, I would quite like to do but id prefer to be able to actually climb first... Once Ive got how to do handle the ropes will they just let me climb on my own (with another partner)? Willy

Cheers all, but just because im a noob whats the difference between bouldering and actual rock climbing with ropes harnesses etc? And the point is that I enjoy it, I've "tryed" it, but never actually got round to doing anything properly. You reckon if I show up at a climbing wall in Brum saying I just want to learn they'll steer me in the right direction? Willy

Hay all, In the title again really. Just wanted to know if anyone climb's, where they do it, where they've done it etc. The gear they use. And if they have any recomendations for going about how to learn, I've got the place to do it in Brum called "Creation" by Epic I think... Anyway yeah im really interested in starting and need to get fit etc so thought it would be good to climb as I dont want to lift weights but want to be fit and have a good power to weight ratio. Any information on the qualifications I could get/should get to prove what I've done. How much they cost on average etc. Any help appricated. Willy

Having the "age discussion" with the folks today about them, 10 years difference between them, but they didnt get together until there were 25+. At such a young age it is weird and she and you will get stick for it, but if you both like each other and shes 16 soon there aint no harm... Like it sais in the title. My mate has really f**ked things up here. Write he's well into gaming, so bought new processor, mb, and vid card (to run sli). He therefore needed to foremat his hard drive and did so. Little did he know that his daughter had 8000+ pictures on it (college photography). There obviously now all gone, well ive heard that you can retreave all data on a hard drive even if it is formatted, because its only deleted from recycle box. Then the file is left on the hard drive until copied over by another file. I wanted to know if: 1. What I think is right. 2. Whats the software name that i can google and download. As it sais in the name... As there ALOT of people that seem not to post for things that have been posted many a time before. So I was thinking, why not make a sticky thread or even a sub-forum full of tutorials on things to do with bikes. Eg bleeding/fixing brakes, and changing bottom brackets etc. Just an idea.
