  6. Okay so the hifi stem everyone reckons? Or when you say "the echo one" do you mean the control? 100*5? The hifi seams like my current set-up but that still leaves me with 3 options: 130mm length, 15 degree rise 130mm length, 30 degree rise 145mm length, 25 degree rise So which one? I'm guessing the 30 rise is most like my current set-up, but does that provide the best compromise between the two extremes? or am i just being too anal? I mostly ride street trials i guess with the occasional natural if that makes any difference
  7. That was absolutely awesome :) Were parts of that filmed in Hastings?
  8. Is that what you run then? The stem is 80mm long, but i dont know the rise. Its 11cm from the top of the headtube to the top of the stem :)
  9. I prefer the Minion over the High Roller as it has a slightly nicer tread pattern. The knobs are closer together and make it seam a bit more grippy :) Havent used the rest
  10. I currently run my stem as below. Which feels nice for manuals, but looks stupid and i'm sure it doesn't do me any favours on the back wheel. My bars are low rise Easton EA50's which i would prefer not to change, but i would change if people recommend a stem that only comes in oversize clamp. My questions are what length/rise does everyone else run? and are there any stems out there that come in a length/rise to give me something similar to what i currently use but without the stackers?
  11. Since people are talking about it. Can anyone tell me the ERD of the rear rim? Or what length spokes i need to order to use it with a Hope XC?

  14. Simon i did the same course a few years ago and thought the same thing, I hated it and left after the first year. Now i'm doing a HND in Multimedia. I find it much more interesting, although I am a bit annoyed that i wasted time/money by dropping out of the computing course
  15. I know that rim isnt knurled, but thats what a surface will look like. Also the thread on OTN that that pic is from has more knurling information (Y)
  16. A few possibly useful posts for anyone interested http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=53453 http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/index....showtopic=31824 http://observedtrials.net/vb/showthread.php?t=12609
  17. No idea on size, but much prefer heavy thick t-shirts
  18. I havnt had anything too bad yet. My worst was probably when i tried to bunnyhop over a road cone on my DH bike and didnt hop high enough. Little did i know that the cone was covering a huge metal pole sticking out of the ground (Y) I landed (at speed) on the back of the seat, snapping the seat bolt. Frank landed on the seat and beans landed between the tyre and seat. Picture the rest. That was a bad day ;)
  19. An Amourdillo is a must IMO, I land hard on mine atleast once a ride :P No dents for me yet For the chainstays, on the drive side i use a couple of layers of old innertube. On the sidehop side i have a sheet of carbon fibre that extends down a couple of mm below the stays. Its super solid and works well. Came with the frame
  20. MP3 player is all you need :P Beats riding with a group of moaners that just stand around holding their bikes watching and criticising. aka, my friends :)
  21. Last time i went to a computer fair i found it more expensive than buying online :P As for trusting my data on DVD's from PoundLand :) No thanks :$
