  5. Right, i know this is going to sound really weird lol , but its kinda funny. Right i think that Joe_Da_Man and bikerboy16 are the same member, i may be wrong most likely but i could be right, but even so in a a topic in new members chat, bikerboy posted a topic about freewheels and Joe_Da_Man replied a bit after but the strange thing is on there profiles they both come from the same place and when Joe_Da_Man replied he spoke like he didnt even know the guy so its prety unikely they both live in portland. i just want to know if the guy is making topics then replying to them on purpose to get validated it would just make me laugh a bit lol. Is anybody up for a bit of detective work to find out if they are, because i need to know its really annoying me lol. im probably wrong but its just one of those things i need to know. DOM
  6. Right ,after buying a a new onza 20 tooth fixed front sprocket i went out for a ride and it was fine didnt do anything big just rid around, then didnt ride for a bout two weeks but the other day i went out and tried a static hop up a wall and i just flew over the bars, after finding out what the problem was i realised that it has spripped the threads of my cranks. the sprocket was definitley tight so it couldent of worked loose, and i dnt know why it has done it does any body know why this is.? I have tensile cranks with the tensile bash guard, if it helps. cheers dom

  16. Hi, after recently building my stock bike ive decided i want a front disk but im a little unsure of which one to get, I was thinking something along the lines of an avid but im not to up to date with them, are there certain types of avid as ive heard peope say bb5 and bb7 but what exactly is the difference between them all and im looking for the one with the most power which one would you recomend, and how much do you think you would look to be paying for one. Cheers any help would be appreciated. DOM
  17. Im not i big fan of natural videos but i really enjoyed that one. Lots of technical sidehops in there and i like some of the ways that were used to get up the rocks. Best video ive seen in a while. DOM
  18. Get dmr v8 pedals again, ive just got a brand new pair and sometimes they grip my feet so much i cant get of them lol, it sort of makes me feel safer when doing drops and gaps because i know im not going to slip of them. Also there only £21 pounds from tartybikes. DOM
  19. I have put the shims on the side where i think its moving the most but it just does the same. Im getting confused know and quite worried incase it gets worse. I bought the frame for £75 but it had some dints in and was scratched quite a lot so it was a fair price. DOM
  20. I have cut up some can and made some shims and it still moves the same as it did last time.
  21. Cheers for the replies, it wont be that my forks have snapped because they are brand new i put them in with the headset. The cups and bearings are all in properly and the bottom rest plate is on correctly, my mate has had a look at it and he,s convinced that it is flarred. The headset has not got a stupid amount of play in it so i can ride comfortably with it but its my new bike and dont really want there to be any problems with it. Cheers DOM
  22. landing on my crown jewells because it renders and commiting to drop gaps and sidehops, but the thing that inspires me is to do them is to pretend that you are being watched by mint riders so you try your hardest. Sounds weird but it works for me. DOM
  23. Hi, i have been recently building my new bike and i have this problem where i,ll tighten up the headset and it will be quite tight and then i will go out and after about half and hour or fifteen minutes then headset will be quite loose so my forks rock forwards. The frame is a secondhand 05 zoo pitbull which i have only just built and i bought it of my mate and he never had any problems with it. My headset is brand new and is all on properly. When i look closely at the headset it seems to be the bottom cup that moves. Does any body know if this means my frame is flarred ?,and what should i do if it is, does it mean a new frame? Also the top cup on the headset went in fine and straight when i put it on but the bottom cup slotted in my frame quite easily. Cheers DOM
  24. A tip for you if you want to take the paint of and then have a good finish. Take it to your local industrial estate if you have one and look for any metal finishes shops and ask if they can bead or sand blast your frame then once they have done it ,buy some laquer and give your frame about 3 to four coats, becarefull not to put on to much as it will run down the frame and will be a mess. Think it cost,s something like 5 or 10 pounds to bead or sand blast and it will make your frame look amazing. Good luck DOM
