How Long Did U Take U 2 Learn How 2 Wheelie Hop ?
kick-this replied to Bolty's topic in Beginners Trials Chat
You mean riding up to an object, then doing a wheelie-hop and landing on back, or two wheels.? If yes then about three weeks, its just getting the height more than anything. Now i'm doing like 35"- 40" walls and ledges. Dave... By the way, Try not to type in text Speak It won't do you any favors -
I like to start off on my back wheel. As you start to pull your bars over the wall, ledge, obsticle you want to side hop onto or over whatever, pedal-kick and bring your back wheel with you. Easier done then said! B) Sort of like a pedal kick forward but your doing it sideways instead. (Y) Hope this helps. :D

I do work in a bike shop, thats how we do it!

You can use either metal cutting/grinding or stone/masonary grinding or cutting. I find (like many others) that the stone cutting disk is best for a nice crisp sharp grind Dave... (Y)

It sure does! :) best one it think stiff and no clicking/creaking, cheep too! :) Dave...

Hey just take a hammer and somthing like the large end of a chisel or somthing like that, knock the star nutt as far down as required. Then trap your forks in a vice and Use A SAW GUIDE to saw the excess off nice and streight. Finally file the end of the forks so theres no sharp bits! Hope this helps Dave... ;)
-
Yep, Brighouse. :) Just get a decent grind with some koxx browns and away you go, they feel so good in wet wether ;) Dave... ;)

I'm after buying a disk but i'm a bit confused, i'm after a avid bb7 as i've heard there pretty good! but whats the difference between a 160mm rotor and a 185mm rotor? Will the bigger rotor fit on my mod or will i need some kind of adaptor? i've never run a disk before so i don't really know what i'm talking about, can someone please shed some light. cheers Guys! :- Dave...

"Whats the difference to the pistions? i cant tell the difference to be honest, Didn't magura claim to have upgraded them some how?" Nothing Different, Their the same! Apart from the lever which feels much nicer.. I think it's good that u run your maguras on their first bleed, I would still be if i hadn't split my hose :- Dave...B)

Nothing wrong with the new 05 levers, made of the same stuff and do the same job! Just a different shape. Anyway back to the topic Magura hs33 for rear, with a nice grind and some koxx browns avid juicy 7 for the front (in my view the best trials disk brake available) hope this helps Dave... :-
