    'old' Bikes

I prefer newer bikes basically because it is easier, I moved from my barracuda subway from about 1997 to my 05 pitbull and its loovely, but it all depends on whether you want a practical bike aswell as how comfy it is to ride, just do what YOU want, don't listen to anyone else (unless they've got a good idea) Nathan
  2. Look in the sale section on the forum, try to steer clear of ebay as much as poss. I've just bought some wheels off Luke Bradley and he seems like a real nice guy, hope my cheque clears soon... Nathan
  3. Its all down to physics and logic I suppose... As my brother says; Nothing is impossible, just highly inprobable Nathan...
  4. I'll just keep looking around and see if anything comes up, I might have found one on allterraincycles however...
  5. Trials on a kona xc bike, that indeed is interesting
  6. I need to find a stem which will be good for me... I currently use: A shitty promax one just because its black and has a decent rise, something like 40 degree by 75mm... I ride a pitbull and I am about 5ft 6" I think I need something a little longer and with less rise, something like a 30 degree by 90mm I don't really want to spend £35 quid on an echo hifi which would be perfect, plus I need some new bulge bars if I get a bulge stem (obviously) Is there anything that would be good, preferably 25.6mm bar clamp... Thanks in advance, Nathan

    How To:

Of course - but I'll only let you off once Just thought I'd share my ideas you know, so that people don't have to go spending nearly £20 on a frame protector AND if you're really bored one Sunday afternoon you could always try it and see Hence the word "aqquire" was used Sorry that is a bit homosexual isn't it but photobucket packed up on me this morning and I wanted to put those pics on somewhere pretty urgently... Nathan...

    How To:

How to make a downtube protector Step one: Aqquire a piece of drainpipe that is a full tube Step two: Cut down the middle carefully Step three: Wrap round your frame and cut bits out so it fits snuggly Step four: Spray paint in whatever way you wish Step five: Place a piece of padding or foam in between the frame and plastic Step six: Secure it in place with easy-remove glue or with cable ties You should have something that looks like this: http://www.photoduck.com/photo.aspx?id=44311 Your views/opinions? Nathan I might need to take my stickers off though...
  9. I've got an idea, why dont we use the following ideas and name them zhi parts! Steal the following: Echo logo Zoo's frames Koxx's frames Koxx's rims RB's Boosters Echo, Adamant, Middleburn bashrings Echo's 05 and 06 cranks KMC's chain Koxx's grips And there you go we've got our very own company - Why not?
  10. Very old picture when I had my barracuda subway Just sold that frame yesterday in fact, I was strangely moved to see it go away... (Notice the light bracket too! Bloody parents! Nathan
  11. Especially if you do as good a job as the blokes at echo ey!
  12. 72 engagement points + wicked freewheel = White Industries ENO Good carbon bars with simalar spec to try alls - Onza flat Nathan
  13. I spose so yeah I need help with something lese too lads if anyone's got a minute... I've been looking around and can't find any stems that aren't for bulge bars and are about 20 deg. rise and around 90mm long... Could anyone suggest anything, or do I have to go down the route of buying a new set of bars and having the echo hifi low rise... Cheers lads, Nathan
  14. Green Scooter grips.... :P
  15. It's a cool trick to learn, you need to recognise where your balance point is before you can do loads, I found that using different bars/stem helps/doesn't help if you know what I mean. Basically, sometimes the balance point can be so small that they are nearly impossble, if you can't get them with practise, and your really really desperate to leanr them a different bar/stem set up might help... My advise is concentrate on stuff on your back wheel for now mate
  16. I have recently been watching some of tunni's vids veeery closely and I've noticed that when he gets up something he always ends up looking right down at his back wheel, I've tried it and hopping up stuff is so much easier, what I was wondering is who uses this technique and who doesn't, I would also like to recommend it to you if you don't! Also if anyone has seen zoo video 26 (tunni) he does a gap at the beginning from an old train thing to a planter, the way he lurches is pretty strange... Firstly he lifts up the bike and bends his arms, he then straightens his legs and pushes himself and the bike forwards... Just wondering if anyone uses this technique and whether it only works on gaps where you are also dropping... Hope this topic isn't too useless for you all but I felt it could help some of you and also me Nathan

    Postage

Definetely less than a tenner for 2nd class, should be about a fiver for 2nd class www.royalmail.co.uk
  18. I love showing off, I love the feeling of everybody looking at me! I also love it when I nail a line, or to watch/teach someone else to learn trials is such a good feeling! Nathan
  19. It may affect you slightly, mostly on the back wheel though. If the bars are at the same level there will be no difference, however if they are different, it will obviously affect the feel. An quite sure Nathan
  20. What stem do you have and what dimensions has it got please? Cheers Nathan
  21. I can wheelie... but I can't manual... this is due to me not being able to get it up... (sorry a bit cheesy) Nathan
  22. Spode! Your the guy who made the promotional video for www.thinkbikes.com am I right? (If so) Nice vid! I did like your mates amazing front wheel skill on a mission...
  23. find some fsa power pro's they come on 5 bolt and you can get them with rings/bash Otherwise go on www.bikedock.com and go on the crankset section (not trials) and they are some nice ones on there (I think) cheap too... Hope this helps, good luck! PS: Last resort - www.trialsshop.co.uk/www.activesport.co.uk and get an onza t bird crankset with ring and bash... Cheers Nathan
