Usually my C2 rubs a lot, but not as much as it is now... I have tried loosening it off all the way at the lever and nothing happens, I am also skint from buying some urbans off ebay yesterday so I can't get a new one yet... Just wondering if I could space out the caliper halves with some washers, as it is rubbing on both sides... Any suggestions would be much appreciated - thanks guys, Nathan

Thanks very much for the replies guys, nice to know I'm naturally special with something! I will try sidehopping from both wheels then move on to back wheeling, and probably use some stairs to perfect my rear wheel technique... Thanks again, Nathan

Meybe it was on sideways, and got crossthreaded... or maybe there was some shit in it when you did it up and it chewed up with that... Nathan
-
Lol I suppose, I have been doing 90 degree 'surges' which seem to be very simalar to sidehopping with a turn, I think I may be able to learn them from that... Nathan

Just starting to get the hang of sidehops from rear wheel now... I can hop up small walls but am finding it very difficult to insert a pedal kick into my method, instead of my very original idea of just pulling up... Could anyone give me some pointers as to how to get it right...? Also, I have noticed that everyone but me hops in the direction of their forward foot, but I find it much easier to have my right forward, and hop to the left. My mate thinks this is strange, and I was just wondering if it is ok to do it as long as it feels right... Hopping left is also useful for me as I don't land on my mech when I "f-up" Greatful for all replies, Nathan

I find that stretching before and after rides helps with flexibility, and also with some you can realise when you have increased (or decreased) your flexibilitytity... Nathan (The above word is a real word and is NOT a spelling error)

Pads: V!Z clear pads Time used: 2 weeks Rim used: Echo 05 Grind: No Brake used: Standard 06 HS33 What is your opinion of a working brake: Locks well, releases easily, no modulation (on rear) How do they compare to previous pads you have used: About the same bog standard as magura standard pads! Review: Don't work well at all, wet or dry, split from backings within 2 weeks - TOTAL CRAP Nathan

That's exactly what I did, and as soon as I got a decent trials setup I realised perhaps I should do something that it like 'real' trials... That's why when I tell people I've been riding for 2 years they think I'm shit, but I only really started just before Christmas... Nathan

Apparently the Avid mechanicals with xtr v-brake lever and good cable is best if your going mechanical (not wure of price) If you want a really good lock-up disc then get a louise fr (£80-£100 depending on model year) Nathan

Absolutely right mate, sorry for cunfusing everyone, I'm the spanner here

Ooo s**t must have read it wrong, nevertheless they have still come apart and they're shit on my smooth rim... And as it says "amazing grip in the dry - designed to be used on a smooth rim" I'm not too chuffed... Sorry about confusing everyone I forgot they were viz ones :$ (TIT) http://vizbikes.co.uk/trialsuk/v1/?p=products&cat=57&pro=9 So should I send them back and get some new ones or what? Nathan

Bought some (clear) plazmatic crm's from trials-uk.co.uk two weeks ago and both pairs don't work, and one of mine has come from the backings at one end! We both use them on smooth rims and they're nearly as bad as the original magura ones! Just wondering what you guys think I should do... Cheers, Nathan

Don't you mean pink? Nathan

Be careful if you go for thin sidewalls though, especially if you ride natural... Although I ride mostly street and a stock, I sliced mine open which can be annoying... Nathan

I have problems with hopping up myself, just can't seem to get it. I've been riding ages and I'm stuck at about 2 ft. aswell.... When you say "jump right up to the stem" do you mean that you have to lean forwards before you hop. I've always wondered whether that would help... Cheers, Nathan

If you have NO object on price chris kings are definately worth the dosh... If you do have a budget and dont mind having only 12 engagement points then go for a shimano xt, I run them front and rear, and apart from the engagment they're great. Good luck, Nathan

Wheelies are gay but wheelies from rear wheel hopping are class Proper party trick, especially if you can stop and start hopping again Nathan
