  1. also available from http://www.bonthronebikes.co.uk/171-16136 and http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/ProductDe...productID/7047/ it says on the website they are the black compound pads which will be no better than your avid ones! but it does show the picture of the salmon compound - give them a ring. Basically all salmon compound pads are great and worth it.
  2. koolstop salmon compund thinline pads or the koolstop mountain pads in salmon compound...
  3. About half the food I eat is healthy and the ret is junk crap, so pretty balanced I think
  4. yeah my chainstay is pretty bad... anyhow i need to find a pic of kevs old dmr, that had a huge hole in the downtube!
  5. Its a 32mm and the same construction as the BMF.
  6. please listen to people... 1. GT hadley hubs ARE NOT the same as standard hadley hubs. The GT Hadley hub doesn't have 108 engagement points. GT Hadley hubs are shit! 2. shimanos are pretty crap and a GT Hadley is no better! A hope xc will offer reliable, strong engagement for ages, they are great hubs. 3. A Cheaper option is a dmr revolver with acs claw, this actually has more engagement points than a hope xc. A friend (mafu26 on here) has been running this combo for a year and has had no trouble and it feels good. I personally prefer his acs claw/dmr combo over hope xc's.
  7. its alright, the best thing is the rear brake booster because it looks kinda like a knuckle duster
  8. ordered mine today, hope i got enough money in my account (paid tomorrow .. wwwooo) probably watch bits this week and watch the whole thing saturday morning in bed with a hangover <<< awesome!
  9. yeah thats why i started using vee because i could afford maggies on a side note nicest vee levers ever...
  10. my leeson has cracked above the brake mount, so is been sent to clive this week for repair, respray and a few other bits Honestly it rides alright (Lewis preferred it to my leeson and Boon hated it, everyone else just laughed ) but i don't notice the low bb for street stuff (its relative anyway) plus i have 5mm extra spacers than my leeson and havea ton of cockpit room which helps. It decent on the back wheel and i could do pretty much everything i could do on my leeson and I did some new stuff. so ..yeh its all good as for the back brake, its a dna brake plate i stole off my crusier, held on with metal plate/bolts at top and zipties to stop moving side to side (ish) - gonna put jubelie clips instead of zipties though... [attachmentid=2880] oh yeah its a roox stem, fantastic stems really but dodgy colours headset i dodgy, bearings don't fit properly in cup. The tensioner is a mix of my leeson one and a dmr sts and the left hand crank kept coming loose for some reason um..thats it i think Mike
  11. I felt it deserved its owns topic rear brake set up Mike

    rear brake

the silver booster is actually a bmx brake plate, so i can bodge 24" mounts on :)
  13. the leeson cracked just above the brake mount, sending it too clive next week to get some work done to it :) doesn't ride too bad really, i don't noticed the low bb for street and it has a bit more cockpit room too. I need to get some jubelie clips for brake in stead of zip tie though. But rode today and could do most of the stuff i could do on my leeson and also did some new stuff ...
  14. you love it you slags ... rear brake ... Comments ... Mike

  16. is the galleries working for everybody else? or is it a prob at my end?
  17. yorkbiketrials.co.uk has a glen vid on the videos page
  18. adjusting the spring tension (if needed) is a takes 30 seconds max changing a cable takes about five min, plus i normally just change the inner and flush the outer with gt85 when i change it, every four months or so. plus if something goes wrong with a vee on a ride, it a hell of a lot easier to fix!
  19. he's smoother than me cracked two ashton et's and one leeson ...
  20. when's the leeson meet up, mine needs repaired before then...
  21. last time boon went near a rock he fell off, true story! i dunno i guess its because if people are into natural, then a longer stock has numerous advantages over a 24" (or even a short stock [unless your name is Chris Akrigg ) ... i suppose we could try
