  1. i will be there not at 11:30 though - around 1.00/1:30 - i will catch up. see you.
  2. I agree with Will, you have to try to improve, but it is nice just riding sometimes. I did this last night, didn't really push myself, but was riding pretty well so just enjoyed it One thing that helps me is a always think about what went well in a ride and take something positive from it. This could be like doing your biggest gap/tap/whatever, but not always sometimes it could just be spotting a new line or just trying something new (even if you don't make it). This way I rarely get pissed off with my riding and its always a good ride
  3. honestly it seems that you can't go wrong with either my king was bedded in correctly and is awesome, i have never had it fully dismantled in the time i have had it (4 years ish) and i just take the freehub body off and wipe the both sets of splines with a clean rag and then wack a tiny amount of king lube on it and its doesn't slip. The only ones i have seen problems on are ones with people that have messed about with them a lot or ridden without bedding them in. But i have tried other hubs (on other peoples bikes)- the new hope seems pretty good, feels great and i guess time with tell how it lasts. The hope xc is still good hub for trials. also tried an acs rearfreewheel and eno rear freewheel and that felt good too. the acs on the rear lasted ages too. there are enough good hub options out there to cover every budget that will work well and last ages, especially if looked after.
  4. cheaper than a king or surly and its steel
  5. I would use a candlestick... ...in the conservatory... ...while being dressed as a reverend!

  11. it is actually stif as fook, just likes to move sideways occasionally ... hehe the headset is pretty bodged too bearings don't fit properly in the bottom cup, so there is a gap of about 3mm between fork crown race and headset cup....yummy
  12. £2.99 for a kool (maybe) and £6.98 posted* I got a kool off extreme direct (i think) for £7 posted a while back, but they seem to be charging postage now. Mike *I have never used this particular version of the kool chain and therefore I take no responsibilty for anybody deciding the buy this chain and it breaking and causing severe injury, embaressment, death or broken balls! Thanks you and good night!
  13. I have had a go on a standard one, felt ok! But the front end is all wrong on the standard one, too low and flat bars, yuck.
  14. pasta is good! maybe bottle of lucosade too. also the nutrisment (sp??) milk shakes in a can, they taste fairly foul though. I am never really hungry during a ride though and i usually just snack a little, i found that the slim fast milkshakes are quite good (a meals worth of protein, energy and stuff) and some banana and a mars bar
  15. to be fair i have seen riders alter sections in comps (both bike and moto) not massively but kick rocks out the way and move rocks to help as kickers and stuff. how is this different? Never done it myself, rails are pretty grippy really because your tyre wraps round it and the only time it doesn't grip you ain't on the rail properly (i don't think tar would help in that case) or if its wet (then you dry it or don't bother )
  16. I am doing some CAD work and my previously I had just uses IDEAS on a linux machine and that was a couple years ago, so anyone know of any good guides to using autocad (using 2002 on windows) that are online (and free) because i am a bit rusty and never actually used autocad before. thanks Mike
