  2. same thing happened to mine, turned out it was the processor.
  3. the belt won't go to infinate speeds though, it will only go as fast as the plane needs to go take off. which is 200ish mph for a 747. The only point the conveyer belt would keep the plane still is when the plane isn't moving. The resistance in the wheel bearings is negilgable and on a normal runway the plane still over comes them and yeah a conveyor belt going at 200mph would probably have some effect on the plane. The plane though will have more than enough power to overcome them and will just require the pilot to give it a bit more pasty to get the plane up to take off speed! But then the whole question is thoretical and its more of an exercise in lateral thinking, rather than geniune realistic problem!
  4. why not? (not counting when the plane is actually flying )
  5. How could I forget about HD1, its the best one Also Evolve for proper non-internet vids, i didn't even get all the way through that before I went out and rode Manifesto deserves a mention also the cultivated vids - renegades being my fav. Remember when stan used to be streeeeet. on the subject of the trialsking - in 'otherside' when they are doing the soil kicker up the huge wall. Did they release the footage of just that at some point. I am sure I can remember watching a video with loads and loads of attempts on it.
  6. got loads but one that sticks out in my mind is doing my first sidehop gap to smith, because I have never seen anyone else do one
  7. 'Otherside' and 'Toxicity' are a significant trials kings ones for me, both awesome! 'Fat Jabba' by the boon, remember seeing that and being all at the stoppie to pedal to 270 'London 3' just thought this was really cool! one of my all time favs 'little wing' by Trial20.com - Insane Wayne ... haha look how he bounces
  8. Rightio random paint explanation …. - Imagine your on a bike with stabilisers and only the stabilers are on converter belts. - The conveyor belt matches how fast you go on the bike. - You will still go forward because the bike isn’t on the conveyer belt. - the stabiliser wheels however will spin twice as fast, but have no effect on your speed because they are not attached to your drivetrain. It’s the same principle for the plane, it took me a while to get it last time! [attachmentid=8303]
  9. nice video joe - was loadsa fun to watch!
  10. thought I would bump this, but me, kenny and lewis are definately coming
  11. Rich, I want that bike! Look ssssooo nice, can't wait to have a blast!
  12. got it - the envelope is called 'the emo' god work is boring to find that amusing, looking forward to watching it later
  13. In my book techy stuff, spins and manuals aren’t trials, and neither are comps, natural, street, UCU, BIU or TGS… All these thing and more are trials. I see trials having many similarities to bmx. In bmx there are different types of riding street, park, vert, dirt, flatland and racing, but they all fall under the umbrella of bmx and enough there are many types they seem to present more of a united front than trials. On the subject on comps, if trials is too become more mainstream traditional comps on the side hill aren’t the way forward to get more spectators. The sad fact is The Bike Battle in Nottingham, probably had more spectators than all the Tykes, YMSA, Brits, etc put together for the last two years. Demo’s are great and all the people who ride demos deserve so much respect for putting in so much effort into there demos. Lewis in Leeds is doing a demo outside a club in Leeds and if that goes well he will get to do a demo inside the biggest club in Leeds, on stage! Which is awesome for trials! Also I think it would be a great idea to get trials at other big MTB events, the fort William guys did a great job and bar that one guy in mbuk it sounds like the cycle show in London was a big success. But either running some demos or one off comps at big xc/DH events (nationals, 24hr events) would probably be a big success. /\/\ - I am not saying comps are crap or trying to put down all the people that put in a fantastic effort to put on the comp. Just saying maybe its time to try and take some of these comps to the people. I haven’t read this interview yet, went to Borders/WHSmiths at lunch and it wasn’t in - but Martin has been involve in trials something like a million years and his opinion is important and he has done so much for the sport. Also about the whole ‘chav trials’ issue, I don’t judge another rider if they are wearing trackie or not and I know (and like) many riders who choose to wear trackies that aren’t chavs, but I will never wear trackies for riding in, because I don’t want the public to think I am a chav or for them to think that trials is another way of getting an ASBO for chav w**kers. This comment is odd. Danny Holyrod has a 6 page spread in the biggest MTB mag in the UK and a signature frame/bike that sounds like being at the top of the game to me… Also take a look at someone like Ali C , but Ali is a great rider and is sponsored by the biggest trials shop in the UK as well as Ashton and he won a world round this year, but he doesn’t have the biggest sidehop, tap , etc… what I am trying to say is size isn’t everything and every bloke should know that phrase, shouldn’t they? Anyhow, reading through this topic and all the different opinions that are flying about! It’s pretty obvious that people passionate and care about the future of trials, which is great!
  14. mafu26 on here used to run an ACS claw and it felt pretty nice and because it was on the back there wasn't any problems with it coming loose. He now has a trials eno which really does feel sweet or you could get a tensile if they have started making them for the rear.
  15. Chris King hub are great for trials, but I really would reccomend getting the steel freehub and HD (heavy duty) axle. Also spend some time bedding the hub in. The Sora cassette will be fine. What country are you from?
  16. I ride a 24" and although I have never ridden a zenith (which look nice) whenever I have a go on an Ashton, they just feel right to me. I think its a combination of the tightish headangle and lowish bb. Quite simply if it was to get a stock for natural and stuff (which I would do if I could afford too) I would get an Ashton no questions asked
  17. Is it crap? I heard they were...
  18. looks like I cause some confusion, when I switch the pc it still says no signal input on the monitor. And the only way to solve this is to take the card out and put it back in again. and it will work. but then the next time i switch the pc on it will do the same thing. I have tried it with two different monitors and two different graphics card (AGP and PCI)
