  1. Amazing riding, videos were a bit cheesy, but some of those moves were fantastic.
  2. I read somewhere the the whole white thing is something to do with bike safety, wonder if he is doing it on a fixie to make it more relatable to the general public. The short chain stays probably make it ‘better’ than some other options.
  3. https://www.rockefeller.edu/news/27872-rockefeller-university-releases-statement-concerning-dr-knut-wittkowski/ 'The opinions that have been expressed by Knut Wittkowski, discouraging social distancing in order to hasten the development of herd immunity to the novel coronavirus, do not represent the views of The Rockefeller University, its leadership, or its faculty. Wittkowski was previously employed by Rockefeller as a biostatistician. He has never held the title of professor at Rockefeller.'
  4. Not from today, but threw together a video of a bunch of crashes and fails I had over the last few years. And yes that guy is a real lawyer.

Really awesome dude. Super creative and the bike looks great.
  6. USA. USA. USA. This country. https://gizmodo.com/teen-who-died-of-covid-19-was-denied-treatment-because-1842520539
  7. Yeah I thought about something like that. There is a room above it so doesn’t have any rafters, but might be able to screw into the joists. I had something like this in my old house, but they were awkward and only fit my roadie well. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Allen-Sports-Wall-Mounted-2-Bicycle-Folding-Storage-Bike-Rack-201B/10812003 I could maybe build something similar out of wood and attach it to the wall. Space to fit each bike.
  8. That was great and nowt wrong with just doing stuff that puts a smile on your face.
  9. Moving into a new house soon and will need to sort some storage out for the bikes. Main issue is the variety of bikes. - Inspired Arcade - 27.5” Hardtail - Roadie - Retro Specialized MTB - Wife’s 24” MTB Been looking at the steady rack, but we are looking at over $300 for everything. Has anyone used them? https://www.steadyrack.com/garage-bike-rack-storage/ Or any other good storage solutions?

  11. Yep, this person ended up around $35,000 in debt. https://time.com/5806312/coronavirus-treatment-cost/
  12. Pace would be really cool, but with lack of range of bikes they offer I am not sure. But the possibility of seeing him on an updated pace trials bike
  13. Looks and pretty nice (except for that brake mount). Good to see mtb companies picking up trials riders again. So Akrigg isn't on Canyon then.
  14. https://www.redbull.com/us-en/danny-macaskills-gymnasium-behind-the-scenes
  15. Really good mix of Danny's humour and the technical side of his riding. As well as smashed out rail gaps on something sketchy as hell, just to show he can still hang
  16. Not 40 (just turned 39) but yeah I agree with what you say. The worse part is recovering from injuries, even minor ones takes ages. I don't tend to get to ride two days in a row at the moment, but it isn't really an issue. Biggest changes I have made to keep riding as I get older is eating better, drinking less and stretching a lot. Keeping that body flexibly is a big thing now, doing squats and stretches (I don't go crazy with it), even on days I don't ride means I feel good more often than not when I do ride.
  17. Yeah I think it be a case of just taking more time with it
  18. Tried that with a screwdriver but no luck, maybe I should give it more welly!
  19. The bearing race on the drive side of my rear hub stuck. The bearing race collapsed inside the hub. Any ideas of getting it out without damaging the hub? Would prefer to leave the Dremel as a last resort. Have a blind bearing puller like this and tried to hammer it out with it but no luck. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/oes-27059?seid=srese1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5MLrBRClARIsAPG0WGx8LKfpKKzICI8bJau-6ElONuPRYCzJkBeGV9L0o6UM7FktDscc_0kaAnyPEALw_wcB Maybe a little bit of heat from a blowtorch before using the bearing puller?
  20. I get that people have to make money, but there is difference between dedicating your life to something and getting paid and peddling pseudoscience/archaeology to make a quick buck selling books or getting clicks. But most discoveries are actually pretty dull to the general public. Let's be honest a youtube video on discovering the Egyptians knew how to make cheese (https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-45233347) isn't go to get as many views as one on ancient alien technology, despite there only being actual evidence for one of them. Archaeology is bloody slow, there are plenty of new discoveries that challenge existing theories, but we tend not to get massive earth-shattering discoveries. They are just small things that move the needle a bit. Here are a few from 2018 - https://www.history.com/news/discoveries-2018-archaeology-science-finds including an 4500 yr old Egyptian ramp technology - https://www.history.com/news/ancient-egypt-pyramid-ramp-discovery Here is a great site to track new discoveries - https://www.sciencedaily.com/news/fossils_ruins/ancient_civilizations/ Honestly I think it is great that you are curious and interested the ancient world, it doesn't get as much coverage to the general public as I would like it too. The history of these places are utterly fascinating and there are a lot of genuine mysteries. I would recommend that give something like Our Fake History a try, it is a fantastic listen and I think you would get a lot out of it. Hosted by a guy that is curious about history and different theories, who comes at things with an open mind. The Atlantis episode is great - https://ourfakehistory.com/index.php/season-2/episode-38-was-there-a-real-atlantis-part-i/
  21. Dude, have you ever thought that the guys that promote these theories are just con-men out to make money? https://badarchaeology.wordpress.com/2014/02/15/the-paracas-skulls-aliens-an-unknown-hominid-species-or-cranial-deformation/ Plus skull modification has been around for ages, it isn't really a mystery - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Artificial_cranial_deformation
